Now, because of sites like Digg, the word goes out, and instantly hundreds of thousands of people know about it. Then the media outlets find out about it, and on and on.

With the exception of Lumines, all those games are subpar ports from PS2 that were scaled back to run on PSP.
That said, I do own a PSP. It's a neat little handheld with gobs of potential that are being wasted on, you guessed it, upgraded ports from PS1 and downgraded ports from PS2.

If nintendo was caught lying it would fall through the cracks and most likelly be reported as lame for one reason or another. Not to say Nintendo lies, they dont seem to need to at this point, we love everything they do, why would they need to lie.

You've never heard of Apollo 13? Or blazing saddles? Or Happy Gilmore? Or the Last Samurai? Or U-571? Granted, neither format has a very impressive lineup at this point, but after looking at the entire list, there are a whopping ZERO blu-ray titles that interest me. I mean, it's not like I want Sony to win, I've never been a big fan of their consoles... but I want them at least able to compete. Because if they can't compete, then MS has no motive to price-drop the 360, and Nintendo has a little more upward wiggle room on pricing the Wii. The harder the PS3 sucks, the more everything else is going to cost. So please, for the sake of my wallet, Sony... get your ***** together.

No, I had no f'ing idea who he was either until I said "eh" and clicked the link. As PS3 is going to suck, I was only mildly interested when I clicked on it. Less so afterwords. I keep hearing "PS3 is going to kick XBox 360's ass" but i'm not sure if they're going by the stats they were told now or the ones that will be available for purchase. Right now, the 360 has the sales lead, I expect it to remain that way :)

I bought an xbox 360 instead of saving for a PS3, because I have no interest in anything the PS3 has to offer besides MGS4 and the rumored remake of FF7. So, I have every reason to support the Wii and the Xbox in this matchup. But that doesn't mean the system is crap. Yes, Sony's being stupid, downright moronic even. But not everybody really reads the news. Not everybody cares what their policies are, how expensive it is, etc. Plenty of little kids are going to ask their parents to buy them the most expensive console out there, just so they can brag to their friends. Plenty of other people are going to get it because they're genuinely fans of the games coming out for it. I'm not, personally, and I think Sony sucks - but that's not reason enough to get giddy whenever Sony makes a PR mistake that probably under 10% of their pre-ordering base is going to even hear about. It's not the end of the world for Sony, and the PS3 *will* succeed, although it may not end up being #1 anymore. As long as people keep on developing decent games for the other consoles, I don't really care who's sold the most consoles - and you shouldn't either. They're just games, afterall.
