I mean really, the checkout process should be on a separate server for things like this. That way, people who managed to get one in their carts could at least finish the process.

At that point, I will decide if I want one. I will buy one for myself, and retire my PS2.
I really want a Wii, and and when I get one, I will go Wii, wii, wii, all the way home. It just has fun written all over it. On the grafx question. Heck, the game i play most on my Xbox 360 is Smash TV. Hardly pushing the grafx on the Xbox 360. I love the ability to download demos.
I have bought just about every console ever made. You know, my favorite console of all time in its time and place was the Sega Dreamcast. In many ways it was ahead of its time. I was in Costco today-- they have PLENTY of ZUNEs, though!!!! - richalot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Once the item was in my cart, I kept my session alive and kept trying and trying and trying. I was frustrated and called their customer support to tell them it was in my cart but I couldn't check out they told me to keep trying b/c everyone was trying to check out (they said their internal system was down too). She said they had 2,000 units to sell and estimated they were hit by about 1.5 million people trying to get at one. I managed to submit my order 4.5 hours after the fact! Talk about being lucky as hell.

The funny thing is that once I was able to check out my cart I would click "continue" and it would boot me yet again. 3 hours of trying over and over it finally let me through to the last payment screen. I clicked "Finish and Pay" and yet again it booted me. Just for fun I thought I'd check my email.
I felt my stomach drop when I saw "Order Confirmation from Costco - Your PS3 will be shipping Monday."

I did that, too. The connection kept timing out after I had added to my cart and thought I was screwed. I checked again when I went to work THREE HOURS LATER and lo and behold, there was a PS3 in my shopping cart waiting to be purchased. I got the confirmation email at about 11am. They went on sale at 5am PST. Sold out in about an hr. It was funny, I get to work at 530 about 6 kids outside waiting in line, I was like hey guys, we are not selling them in store... The look on their faces was priceless... Haha, then they decided to stay even tho they were warned. Then 10 rolls around and boom they get shutdown again hah
