- truspector, on 10/10/2007, -32/+84"Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it's not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don't see the need to do that." -Phil Harrison
- skennedy, on 10/10/2007, -6/+42BTW, I think that previous games can be made rumble compatible with updates.
- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -6/+39Awesome news! Thanks Sony for settling with Immersion, happy to have rumble back
- TWillz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Dear Sony, please add rumble to Warhawk. Thanks.
- mageofdeath, on 10/10/2007, -9/+27that still is no excuse for their pompous attitude, and the downright lying...
- bigbadgoat, on 10/10/2007, -10/+27if 1/2 the people who own xboxes buy halo 3, its a pretty strong indication that theres nothing better to play. What makes halo 3 better than any other game?
Ohh wait, I know. Its the 12 year olds calling everyone "*****", thats the killer feature. - jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20They did drop the price & developers are making games.
- WhereAmI, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17I don't unless the developer wants to go through it all again, something they probably won't do. Some might. Other probably saw it coming and have it locked away possibly...
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -8/+21Wow, you're so unoriginal! [/not being sarcasitc]
It's not like they're doing this to be innovative. They had a lawsuit, settled things out, rumble can now come back. - plbland, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Is that a 'block me' sign you're wearing?
- mahklo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Wait...Microsoft said hdmi wasn't necessary for their console?
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Yeah, I totally forgot that the PS1/PS2 didn't have rumble.
Don't be an ass. - mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14They had rumble in the last 2 PS controllers. When will you retards actually read the articles that are posted and realize they couldn't add rumble before because of the settlement with Immersion.
- arunforce, on 10/10/2007, -6/+17I don't get why you are so desperate to fight against Sony. Competition = gamers win. Your a dumbass for trying to have a monopoly.
- xOpifex, on 10/10/2007, -9/+20No, what makes Halo 3 great is Bungie making a shiny version of Quake then giving it to people that haven't played a real shooter before.
- negativenancy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11"The reality is, you don’t need HDMI for HD gaming." - Todd Holmdahl, Corporate Vice President of the Xbox Product Group.
Hey everyone, look at me! I can troll too! - soupyc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11You know, I was gonna comment something along the lines of "who cares about rumble" when I thought about it...more games than I realized use rumble, and use it effectively. So...I guess I care about rumble. Good for Sony.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -9/+18what? 360 has been out for a year and 3 months longer and only has about 3 exclusives out right now that have an advantage over PS3. Wii only has gamecube/DS ports, and Metroid. All 3 consoles have a pretty "boring" selection right now.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12you're a fruit.
- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Not really a situation they could avoid since Immersion was suing them. In the end though Sony paid Immersion so they could give gamers what they were asking for.
So I think they did a "Great job" :) - charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12If you hate the PS3 so much, stop trolling PS3 threads and focus on what you do like. You add absolutely nothing to the conversation.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15YOU DO NOT HAVE A PS3 YOU LYING PIECE OF *****.
If you really did you wouldn't be ridiculing people for buying it, and you'd mention how you own a PS3 and regret buying it. Post a picture to prove it. - charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Trollspector.
- charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -8/+16Trollspector, quit while you're ahead. I think you'd find your time better served focusing on the thing in life that you actually like. Given the amount of time and energy you put into trolling PS3 threads, I can only assume you secretly want one but can't afford it. So my advice to you is to get a job, buy a PS3, and be happy brotherman.
- charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -10/+18Trolling much?
- xOpifex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8It is selfish, but it makes sense. If the game doesn't sell well, why put out more content? If it doesn't sell well then obviously nobody is playing the game, and they wouldn't have the funds to put out more content.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10"Regardless, the PS3 is in third place with less than half the sales of their competitors and are still being outsold EVERY WEEK."
The 360 has been out twice as long, and only has twice as many units out as the PS3. Your 360 is doing just as well as the PS3 is, and things are going to change real soon. - ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9KD is coming out for the PS3, too. And only one of those games you mentioned is actually out yet.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Why would they ever move to cartridges, even if they were moving in reverse?
The PS1 introduced the world to using CDs as media. If it were up to *****' Nintendo we'd STILL be using cartridges. Why? Because they're a pain in the ass to clone, and Nintendo can keep a tight lock on who gets to license them. - h4mx0r, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It's good to see logic still lives on here at Digg.
- KC311Man, on 10/10/2007, -7/+14Wow! They are so ahead of the curve! [/sarcasm]
- charlescheese, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Trollspector, I agree that the PS3 is too pricey and that's why it's not selling well. However you lack any credibility at all when talking PS3. You rip on anything and everything that is PS3, you rip on all of the PS3 exclusives, so you're just a troll. Get over it. Everyone knows your troll now, and nobody cares what you think about anything PS3. Garbage in, garbage out.
- staticneuron, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8"One of the basic premises of the Xbox is to put the power in the hands of the artist," Blackley said, which is why Xbox developers "are achieving a level of visual detail you really get in 'Toy Story." Seamus Blackley - head of Microsoft's Xbox division

Four dimensionial graphics and the bravado are all hyperbole and what is the reason for having 2 HDMI ports and 3 more RJ45 connectors.
Seriously, trolls are stupid. How are these lies? When a company makes design changes on unfinished products they are called lies? I swear, this arguement pretty much sounds like it was made up by children and has an amazing way to worm its way throught the internet. - nreynolds, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11He completely admitted that he only said that because they were in a lawsuit, why is it still used as justification?
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8A few more years of patching the software, and re-releasing components and it will be an Xbox 360.
At least the PS3 came with the proper cooling right from the get-go. - Almadiel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I don't really care, but I'll probably buy one of the new controllers after a while if it still has good battery life.
- RJNavarrete, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6My porn is already free, but thanks anyway. =)
- HOOKSTER1231, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8im not a fan boy, but its not fair to say that RROD doesn't exist, didn't they extend the warranty for that very problem to 3 years?
- shinythingy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8The PS3 came out later in Europe so that means a bigger gap between the releases. MS rushed out the 360 and paid the price. They have put aside $1billion for repairs and the Wii has already beat it. MS fumbled.
- Philodox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Not that it makes it ok, but they were still in a lawsuit when he said that.
If you hit somebody with your car and they were suing you, would you publicly say "I think people who hit others with cars should have their entire estate taken away" or would you say "I don't think hitting people with cars is a big deal"?
I'm sure they wanted to make it seem to Immersion (successful or not) that they weren't interested in rumble so that when they eventually settled they could do it for less money. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Funny, diverting resources from superior systems is why most gamers hate the wii
- Phyltre, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6In all fairness, it's been out almost two years now. It really wasn't necessary then, and adoption rates were still up in the air. You have to realize just how far televisions have come in two years (adding in, as well, the amount of time the 360 spent in development when HDMI was almost unheard-of.)
You have a choice. You can have a very forward-looking console that costs a premium (PS3) or you can have a current-tech console for a moderate price (360). Of course, this gen we have the innovative-budget choice in the Wii, but that's tangential. And no matter what you choose, it serves everyone for the entire scale to get addressed--all the way from last year's technology to three years from now's. - batmang, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9R-tardss
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Yes it is, or at least there's a very strong possibility it will come to PS3 again (the console it was originally intended for). Do some research.
- jacksons98, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Phil actually came out later saying they kind've had to act less interested because they were in the middle of settling with Immersion. Last thing you want to do when your negotiating a multi-million dollar agreement is act like you must have it.
- DarkShroud, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Only if you don't want night & day tracks in PGR4, or the problems with fitting map packs on the Unreal game discs. But Duel-layer DVDs are good enough, you don't need HDMI, 1080p in games is impossible, the RRoD are isolated incidents, and the console does not grind down game discs.
- dethsesh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4i suspect walmart will be getting alot of switch-a-roos from unhappy ps3 owners
- BobsYourUncle, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Yes, Sony lies. So does MS. They continually said the RRoD was experienced by a "vocal minority". Suddenly, a billion dollars suggests it wasn't quite restricted to a vocal minority. Don't act like MS's ***** smells better than Sony. They both peddle *****. Those of us affected by the RRoD (and other quality issues) know it wasn't a minor issue. Then again, your reputation precedes you, so I'm spitting in the wind...
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Rumble's back finally. Plus, it makes the controller heavier and the lightness of the controller was one of the complaints (!?!?) from some reviewers early on.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Your comment is last gen.
And so is your mom -
