- ApokalypseNow, on 10/10/2007, -25/+255It would seem that "cruelty", the secret ingredient as claimed by PETA, is one of the most delicious things on the face of the earth.
- erniecamacho, on 10/10/2007, -9/+137Nintendo owns the rights to the usage of Mario and Co. How is it NOT blatant copyright infringement? The game is funny, in a bad way, though.
- MatchStick, on 10/10/2007, -12/+134you know what i hear KFC does to chickens? they COOK them!!!!!
- thenativeraver, on 10/10/2007, -7/+120Oh no!
Pamela Anderson?
She's going to infect the chicken with hepatitis C!!! - mastersquirrel3, on 10/10/2007, -11/+99All this does is make me want to eat some KFC. Also the Colonel looks so awesome in this.
- dazman, on 10/10/2007, -13/+71***** PETA - They are no better than the organisations they target.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -22/+75Shut up and eat your expensive organic bland veggies like a good eco-terrorist pussy.
- snapcase, on 10/10/2007, -8/+57God I hope PETA gets sued.

It had to be done... - erniecamacho, on 10/10/2007, -4/+49I doubt that Nintendo would approve something like this even if they did agree with PETA's position. It's not good for business.
- agrabob, on 10/10/2007, -3/+43Thats what I thought. I don't see a Nintendo logo anywhere, but the Co. Sanders image with horns is great.
I want fried chicken now.... - lostmongoose, on 10/10/2007, -7/+46*brrrring, brring*
Hello, PETA HQ. How may I help you?
This is Jack Thompson. I want my crazy pills back. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -6/+44Colonel sanders is a spider pig?
- UndyingShadow, on 10/10/2007, -4/+39How many turtles did Mario KILL? How many....
Way to pick the right role model PETA! - Toloran, on 10/10/2007, -2/+37This would be the case except parodies/satires have to be parodies/satires of their subject matter. Example: I use McDonalds icons to make fun of McDonalds or use Microsoft Icons to make fun of Microsoft. Both of those examples are legit. This however is using one entities intellectual property to satire/parody/defame a completely different entity.
- malkir, on 10/10/2007, -10/+44That made me realize just how delicious chicken really is.
- KielKilla, on 10/10/2007, -6/+40or Poorly Educated Teen-aged Activists.
- CaptShmo, on 10/10/2007, -9/+42PETA is so damn crazy probably they get away with things right and left because nobody wants to deal with them... i hope nintendo finds some reason this is illegal and drops a giant legal THWOMP on them
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -8/+40Speaking of cruelty... *closes his browser window*
- defectDS, on 10/10/2007, -1/+32well said.
- ggnictee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+30we do need to treat animals humanly. This is important for our own humanity.
however we need to remember, they're just chickens. at the end of the day cooking them doesn't fall into that category.
you can still eat them just be kind to them while they're alive. - rodbotic, on 10/10/2007, -4/+31meat is murder!!
mmmm....good tasty murder...... - Slacker1031, on 10/10/2007, -3/+27PETA Member: "Do you know what they do to those chickens?!"
Jim Gaffagin: "No, but it's deliciousss" - coreyb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22It is not parody! Parody would be making light of Nintendo or its holdings, this just uses its property to further its efforts.
- Salgat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24It might be under the parody free use thingy that protects Robot chicken and YTMND.
- Travelsonic, on 10/10/2007, -9/+29PETA can kiss my ass, as accurate as a pile of dog turds telling you when the world will end.
For one: KFC DOESN'T own slaughter houses, DOESN'T KILL ANIMALS.
Thy have suppliers for that.
If PETA was at all accurate, they would tell them to target the suppliers, to blame the suppliers. - erniecamacho, on 10/10/2007, -9/+29Cluckin' Chicken: I'm delicious!
- nissan4l0, on 10/10/2007, -12/+32I am amused by the circumstances of PETA's existence. I guess when upper middle class societies begin to live more and more comfortably, they suddenly start becoming activists for relatively unimportant and meaningless causes. The fact is simple, humans need to eat. There are so many things going on in the world today that affect HUMANS, such as poverty, war, displacement, and disease. Oh well, who cares? As long as the chickens are comfortable before they die
- dazman, on 10/10/2007, -5/+24oh and to those digging me down, perhaps you need to do some research on your beloved PETA.
- SOhp101, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19No, parody is what they did to Colonel Sanders and the Princess. The use of Mario, Luigi, and Toad violates IIRC.
- dazman, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21Animal Cruelty IS terrible but if you did your research, you would find that PETA do a GREAT deal more than throw paint on fur.
- nstern2, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23What PETA stands for is complete and utter *****. Penn and Teller did a show about them,it basically equated PETA to the NAZIs. Seriously though why would letting every animal out there go free be a good idea? What the ***** am I supposed to do when some stray dog bites me. I can't shoot it cause that is "cruel". What is PETAs answer to that? That is why we have animal control.
- terminal157, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Exactly. The only reason the Nintendo characters are being used is because they are popular and will draw attention and good will - clear violations of copyright law.
- DejectedRobot, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17I hate PETA & PETA2 with a passion. Especially when they target the youth to mindlessly sign up for help. All they do is spread lies. Their whole KFC cruelty campaign comes from a slaughter house in Bangalore, India, where they cruelly tortured the chickens before slaughtering them. Yet they go on and say that this is happening all over the US.
***** PETA. - nixonrichard, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17No kidding, why does the chick move like it's on ice even when it is clearly standing on grass. And WTF with having to press the "up" arrow to jump?!
- Rabbethan, on 10/10/2007, -7/+20I call BS. KFC, as someone once said, is to chicken what MTV is to music. I'm more of a Popeye's type of guy.
- gingerchris, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17what would you want them to walk for? If they can walk, they can walk away from me trying to eat them
- LilJimmyNordin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Actually, it's closer to the truth that in this particular case, the Nintendo properties are used without disclaiming unauthorized use, which implies that Nintendo supports the campaign against KFC and, as a corporation, supports PETA. The use of the Mario characters imply an endorsement that Nintendo almost certainly did not authorize. I hope Nintendo is being made aware of this use of their intellectual property in PETA's propaganda because if this IS authorized, many of us will have to rethink our position on Nintendo.
- jsmith39, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16So that's what makes them taste so damn good.
- saintdesy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Yeah, but Popeye's doesn't have the Snacker. Mmm...Snacker.
- Burn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I heard they fry them; sometimes in Kentucky :O.
- Cattrin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I wonder if Goomba Squishing qualifies as cruelty? Wearing raccoon fur so he can fly, too.
- NeoOfTheSith, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13And I have the strangest craving for a Famous Bowl now...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I don't think people got it. LOL!
http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/38149/detail/ - Shaflugi, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12KFC is greasy *****, Popeye's is way better.
- ianzu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I on the other hand did read Peta's propaganda. Funny, it actually says that KFC cuts the beaks off of chickens, boils them alive etc. Maybe Swoopdog is the one who needs to read more?
- xyzyx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10It's hilarious that they put rats in the KFC in world 2.
- st3vo, on 10/10/2007, -7/+15I eat vegans for breakfast.
- ShaneApex, on 10/10/2007, -8/+15NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
