Wonder if they all get bored only surfing one site too? - MatttK, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14You know, it really is a no-brainer that the DS Lite is superior to the original DS... why do so many sites feel the need to state the obvious, especially when we all knew this stuff months ago?
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Apple look but not the Apple price
- Guspaz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6As much as I love the DS lite (I bought one launch day, and love it), do we really need to have every single article about it on the web show up on the Digg front page? Most of these articles rehash the exact same things as the previous articles. And yet every single one gets Dugg to the frontpage.
- KyleRayner, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8And this doesnt tell anybody anything that isnt all over the web already, including Digg's front page. There was a front page article on here yesterday that listed eleven or so enhancements.
The reason this old news article hit the front page, and with no comments, is the same old fact of Frgmstr and his sock puppet accounts cheating the system. Look at how many of the Who Dugg This? crowd down there ONLY digg Hardocp articles. - Schda, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6@Ahmedf
I also enjoyed how all but one of his submitted articles seems to reference HardOCP (it was a CNN Money article). He must get bored only surfing one site. - MalignantKid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4As a paid member of the forums I recognize all but 2 of the listed names as members of hardforums.com.... If you want to throw mud, make sure it's mud first, not feathers.
- cracell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Drood you need to see the actual lite, the differences in photos are blah...
I was a proud owner of a DS and was kinda ugh about getting a Lite this week, yesterday I picked one up feeling like I'd probably regret it. But wow. It blows the DS away. You can't really show how awesome it is you have to see one. The outside is smooth. sexy. awesome. Then comes the screens....I have no idea how these things are lcd...they look freakin awesome...I am seeing tons of things in game that I never noticed before. It's like going from the Gameboy Advanced to the SP. Just incredible. Make sure to try a demo once stores have them. - WeeklyGeek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7""I couldn't care less how awesome the PSP hardware is, since its games blow in comparison to the DS."
Eh. No, they don't. "
Yeah. yeah they do. the DS has at least 10 games I can name off the top of my head that are must-own. The psp has one. - zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6This is as much of a dupe as a dupe can get. Obviously after glancing at diggspy I am not the only one that thinks that way.
Surely even Nintendo overs are getting tired of it? - zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Yeah, I think the repetition is making things a tad confusing at the moment as well.
- minoss, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4@Schda
It is his site. frgmstr (fragmaster) is an alias the owner has been known to use (was his alias on his own forums). Plus, the site has a strong forum following and fan base so it isn't unusual that he would submit stories mostly from his site and then people would digg it. - AhmedF, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7It 'somehow' happens often :)
http://www.digg.com/users/frgmstr - batting 0.79 - 23 out of 29 hit the frontpage. - calero, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5im getting sick and tired of every other story being about nintendo. dont get me wrong im totally excited abou the wii, which will probably be the only next gen console i get, but the frontpage nintendo stories are just getting ridicualous, we dont need a daily update about every time nintendo says something...i can see it now: Nintendo CEO EATS chicken: 1 billion diggs
- BaxterG4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Schda: not if you want to play Game Boy or Game Boy Color games... the DS and GB Micro can't play them.
- ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5WTF?
Did you forget your meds? - Ruckus21, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Got one for my daughter and it's great. High quality piece of hardware with the Nintendo name behind the games. Nice move Nintendo!

Castlevania
Mario and Luigi: partners in time
you might look into Trauma center under the knife as well its kinda like a dumbed down surgery simulator. - outhouseinput, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Does it seem like these guys totally ripped off of the video reviews on the www.cabel.name website?
The passage about the Apple products seems to follow the video reviews to the point.
This article had crappy writing anyways, but just an insight. - volcompimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My DS Lite rocks my socks... I've been using it everywhere and I've already bought about 5 games that I'm addicted to.

If thats the good games I'm not too worried about the PSP games sucking. - Kazrog, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I thought he was vegetarian?
- zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8> Nintendo once again triumphs the hand held market thanks to innovation.
By selling a regurgitated DS? - Schda, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2or instead of a GBA SP you can just use your DS. Although if anyone wants a GBA SP I'll probably be putting mine up on ebay soon.
The new DS is pretty nice though, I actually picked one up after shunning the original. Neither it or the PSP intrigued me enough to pick it up. I am pretty happy with it, but there just doesn't seem to be enough games that appeal to me so I'm playing some Ninendogs and my old Metroid Zero Mission or whatever it was called :) Although this will probably earn me some ribbing, I'm looking forward to a new Pokemon game... it's actually the reason I bought my Gameboy Color all those years ago. - apHytHiaTe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Think thats bad, look at some of the alternate accounts he used to dig this article, and most of his other ones. And this isnt an all-inclusive list:"
I am not an alternate account of Kyle Bennett or frgmstr. I digg his stories because, yes I am a [H]ard|OCP Enthusiast and because they are very well-written articles.
@Minoss... you straightened that out well. - MatttK, on 10/12/2007, -10/+9There's no point in comparing DS/PSP when they play totally different software. I couldn't care less how awesome the PSP hardware is, since its games blow in comparison to the DS.
- aresef, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Again driving the point home that the DS Lite is ingeniously designed.
- Spaz007, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Well this is Wiigg the Nintendo Fan site right???
- liveinabin, on 10/12/2007, -9/+7"The original DS has the look and feel of a toy.."
Christ, they're ALL toys. All games consoles are toys. I use them myself (love the DS) but it winds me up that people are so afraid of admitting they play with toys :) - JJ, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4To play regurgitated titles that I played originally on PSX just doesn't cut it for me. Nintendo once again triumphs the hand held market thanks to innovation.
- jagerbomb55, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4Great article - always nice to see "actual" differences before buying one than reading about them.
- Daniel591992, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5Because some DS owners want to know what they will be getting before they buy the Lite...duh
- zinnternet, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3an oily ole egg with a red peg leg thought a porcupine was his daugher. but they soon found out that she had the gout and often would wink underwater.
- CornStarch, on 10/12/2007, -9/+6I have a DS, I like it. But I don't need the PSP o suck to like it.
- Kazrog, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Somebody set us up the bomb.
- akira117, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5Drood, the reason why you are a minority is because you are a retard.
There is no way you can say the DS looks better than the DS Lite!
How about this reason to buy it: the DS Lite is cheaper than the original
Why would you care if it looks like something else closed!? WTF
**Link a pic of my DS Lite next to an iPod 60GB and a 19in LCD**
http://www.flickr.com/photos/akira117/167752571/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I thought this article title implied there were enhancements due out for the DS lite already... bummer
- tlogank, on 10/12/2007, -14/+7Wow, this was the first frontpage article I have ever seen without a comment first. Anyway, it is a great comparison, one of the best I have ever seen. Filled with pictures, too!
- zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3"Yeah. yeah they do. the DS has at least 10 games I can name off the top of my head that are must-own. The psp has one."
Translation: "The DS has at least 10 games I can name off the top of my head. The psp has one."
Go to the IGN reviews section and find out for yourself, you ignorant. - Drood, on 10/12/2007, -16/+5I only recently got a DS, though I bought it knowing the Lite was coming. I think the Lite looks awful. It looks like a box you'd find toy soldiers, or candy in. My wifes guitar tuner comes in box that looks like a DS Lite. I'm in a minority, but I think the Lite is bloody ugly.
I don't think the DS looks that bad. My thumb cramps on some games on the regular DS, meaning I'd be screwed with the Lite.
About the only benefit of the Lite over the DS is the screen is much brighter, but the DS is plenty bright enough. I grow weary of people raving about how pretty it is (it isn't), how compact it is (who cares?), and how ugly the original DS is (it isn't).
I think it mostly boils down to the love of all things new and shiny. The Lite MUST be better because it's NEW! - zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -17/+2....
- BTrey, on 10/12/2007, -19/+4You could see a difference? Other than the slight difference in size and the color, it was hard to see much difference. I'd call this a slightly tweaked design, not a redesigned unit.
