- wordsofwisedumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22Half the reason to do mods is the process you have to go through to get the end result. The fun part is knowing you're just the slip of an exacto blade away from blowing $40 and then when you're done knowing that you had so many close calls that could have ruined all the work up to that point.
- gravis86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16That's pretty cool how it changes colors depending on what player number you are.

- SirCrx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Its actually not that easy. If you connect an additional LED to the existing power and ground thats already there you WILL suck power from those LED and you will NOT gain the brightness on EITHER led. Both the additional led AND the one that Nintendo put on or i changed will not be at the correct voltage.
Before you go assuming what you think you know how about being a little nice and saying "im curious as to how this worked because you could do this -" instead of "big whoop". - SirCrx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You don't even do that...
I used 0 resistors in this project.
Once again, doesn't hurt to be nice. - CountC, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8One step closer to lightsaber wiimotes...
- JoCliMe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Genius! Now I am going to replace my LEDs with IR ones in the wiimote!
And use it as a sensor bar - CrazyForSW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is so cool! It would be a good way to distinguish between controllers!
- burnzy3210, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4good mod, i like that the A button is lit up with the same colour as the channel the mote is on. this guy should sell these

- Cubedude04, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He better post a tutorial it looks great =D.
- michael1406, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow...excellent mod! Shame I would never have the balls to do this to my own controllers...not that I have a Wii anyway.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think you miss the point. It lights up indicating which player you are. Of course you could just look down and see which LED is lit up, but it's just cool to have color coordination with player position.
It's just neat. That's all. People assuming that means I'm floored by this are idiots. - StarkRavenMad, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Player 1 = Blue
Player 2 = Red
Player 3 = Green
Player 4 = Yellow
Sweet! I found the DIY for this mod, for those brave enough to try it:
For Player Indicator LED's: http://www.WiimoteMods.com/?p=5
For Multicolor A Backlight: http://www.WiimoteMods.com/?p=8 - pinesol101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1you helped his' photobucket acount to get dugged. lol..

- dsthunder, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1i want white on my a button and i want the d pad to light up
- killrrabit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0For all of you who dugg this, how much would you be willing to pay for a Wiimote like this?
- Baku, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2That mod definitely looks cool.... bet it eats batteries like a mofo though. :/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0This is a great Mod!
There is a site that shows you have to make this!
Read more at www.ghforum.net - hiro, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1It's quite a good idea and may even be slightly useful...
but AWESOME?
Something tells me you need to see a bit more of life... - WolfwoodX, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1$20
- JoCliMe, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1http://youtube.com/watch?v=fpHcgkXp_4w
or is that not what you meant? - D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2***** kick-ass...(yes all the swearing was necessary)
- zanthrax, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Yeah, I forget replace 4 resistors. even easier then LED's.
- Splitt3rxx, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2I am tempted to try this... but the controllers are $40!!!
- michelellee, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I think the its so cool looking!! I can't wait to try them out!
- wounded625, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3pics or it didn't happen!
oh..wait - Kragnerac, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1*delete*
- KyotoWolf, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Wow... It has an LED in it....
- coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1Mods like this are never worth it to me unless I can get my hands on a free or extremely cheap controller. I saw a mod earlier that made the PS button glow on the SIXAXIS, but it involved way too much work and ripping apart the controller. Too much of a pain in the ass for the end result.
- anonatron, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3
- zanthrax, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2Nice mod, except for the fact that you have your finger on the A-button most of the time.
Basicly he changed 3 LED's to different colored once and wired and extra LED to each of the 4 LED's allready in the remote. Bg whoop.
Anyone who does not even know how to take any device into the new millenium by changing a red LED to a blue one should not call themself a geek and/or nerd.
