- saudama, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28Where's Super Smash Brawl?
- consonance, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Where's the third-party support? Eight of the thirteen games listed are going to be published by Nintendo.
- Judgement, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Trust me, there's plenty of nintendo fans on Digg, they don't need to pay a dime.
- K-Flow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20sadly nintendo hasn't had the best of 3rd party support. i'm sure more developers will move to the wii since it's so easy to develop for.
- otatop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18It's early '07 games. Brawl's just coming out sometime in '07.
I think it's sad that number 8 is the News Channel. Were they really that short on games to promote? - zenmouse, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16There don't seem to be any real killer games coming out. I have zelda and im not quite sure where to go from here.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves - decay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10My wallet is crying, no way I can afford all those games!
There are like 8 that are just begging me to buy them...
Kinda happy I went with only one launch title. - mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9elchip, send that ***** back. What the hell is the point of investing $100 on something that will be useless after you buy a wii?
- achoo5000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7especially because you could play the gamecube games on Wii anyway.
- muikano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Mario Strikers, Metroid, Brawl. Those are going to be solid. What's more important for Nintendo right now is to get their 2nd and 3rd party developers profitable. They lost the last 2 generations on the fact that they couldnt produce enough games themselves.
It's going to change soon. A lot of the older directors have left their studios to form their own. There's the Okami and Devil May Cry guy Studio. Look at Smash Bros. Brawl. It may be a first party title but the guy in charge of that game is the creator of Kirby and he came back after a brief hiatus of owning his own studio. I hope that nintendo doesnt just hire all the best creators for first party because it would limit the markebility of the brand--for example, Nintendo could never make a blood and guts or controversial game.
You wont have any good 3rd party games for awhile. Not until Nintendo releases their online devkits. Not until Lucas Arts brings out Wii: Lightsaber. Tell me that game won't sell boatloads. You dont even need Star Wars.
Rainbow Six Las Vegas would be good for this sytem too. - Dithre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5At least you will be able to use the games and controllers if you get a Wii.
- techotter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6im surprised the sims for Wii wasnt on here - its one of the games i'm looking the most forward to, and probably the main reason im going to be buying a wii (well, that and zelda, of course)
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8I just want Mario Party, Metroid, Wario Ware, Wii Play, and Paper Mario, Pokemon, and Sonic....*****, that is a lot of games.
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9You're both dimmer than a 10 watt lamp under a lead shade.
- contradictator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Problem is, it got pretty dissapointing reviews on the other consoles.
- prgmctan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I was really hoping to see that on the list
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Aside from Paper Mario and Metroid, I'm kinda disappointed with that lineup.
Where are the big games? Mario Galaxy should be on that list too, since it's coming out the same day as Metroid, right? - reefinyateef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That Mortal Kombat section is awesome. Uppercutting with the controller would be pretty hot, though I can't see that happening in game (except during a fatality sequence).
- xerus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Warioware only uses one Wiimote, but has a "Pass the Wii Remote" multiplayer mode I think.
- SirBriggs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why does it say WarioWare is one player?
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1#8 is a game?
- zouden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm going to pick up some of those great Gamecube games that I missed out on, like RE4. Should be pretty cheap and those games will keep me going until the next big Wii games come out.
- b3mus3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I think it's sad that number 8 is the News Channel. Were they really that short on games to promote?"
I think you're being a little pessimistic. I mean they have 12 games on there not including the News Channel so they could have done without it, but I for one didn't know when it would be available and I'm sure it's worth reminding people of it's existence. - DanLuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh Lord, it seems that Nintedo is just getting started.
- TrainwreckX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would say to expect Smash brothers in April or May. Remember, it has only been in development since AFTER it was announced (Sakurai says this in his blog). So after May 2005, it hasn't been even 2 years yet, which is not very long for a big title like that.
- decay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Its Mario everytime damn time...
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Apparently not, since it's not on the list.
And am I the only one tired of Nintendo moving the last-gasp Gamecube games to Wii? It just screams the death of my beloved GC to force me to upgrade to a system with about two exclusive games I'll want by the time next Summer hits.
Guess I'm stuck with my PS2. - elchip, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I asked the wife for a Wii for Christmas.
She surprised me with an early Christmas gift...
...a Gamecube.
Ah well, better than nothing since I never got around to buying one before. SSBM is, of course, lots of fun. - stevejanes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0When I saw Mario Party 8 with the Galaxy image, I was thinking Galaxy would be out early next year. :( The titles I'm looking forward to are Super Paper Mario (I wonder if you will need the remote or if you can play with a Gamecube controller), Sonic (I hope Sega does will with this one), Wii Play, Metroid Prime 3, and Wario Ware. Wario Ware includes a 3D version of Baloon Fighter for one of the mini-games. I'm very excited for that game.
- HRF1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Seriously, I was thinking about getting the Wii but this article has given me second thoughts...
- Royal0rleans, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6I don't buy nintendo systems for third party support, but for the first.
- mikesherov, on 10/12/2007, -23/+13a ps3 is basically a suped up version of ps2 with better graphics.
- elchip, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1No, the Wii is basically a souped-up Gamecube with some extra features.
The PS3 and XBox 360 are pretty different, hardware-wise, from their predecessors.
Especially the PS3. - AzzX, on 10/12/2007, -18/+5LOL @ kouchpotatooos
The PS3 is basically a suped up version of ps2 LOL - mobbydick, on 10/12/2007, -18/+3Cooking Mama: Cook Off - To me that's a video game that'll make players hungry playing it so fat kids get even fatter.
- PaulCarus, on 10/12/2007, -53/+0What's with Nintendo paying for all the Wii stories on the front page?
Diggvertisement. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -55/+2a Wii is basically a suped up version of ps2 eyetoy with a controller

What is Digg?
