- quacker912, on 10/10/2007, -1/+88Well, now you can smash it like a real rockstar and just rebuild it.
- IShouldBeWorkin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+54is there anythin legos CANT do?
edit: they cant get the builder laid - srusso, on 10/10/2007, -0/+39Everything made from legos always looks like an old 8bit Nintendo graphic!! Rock on!
- brocklese, on 10/10/2007, -0/+21Wow don't drop that one.
- Akaji, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20But... ow...
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19My uncle notified me about how he found this link on the AOL website.
I am the one who made the guitar. I was really surprised to find it here.
I also made another guitar, a B.C. Rich Warlock, but both of the guitars were taken apart before I got the idea to make Youtube videos of them. If you need proof, all of my names have Blue Star in them.
You can find my guitars and other Lego creations at:

I'm sorry if this seems like blatant opportunitism... Well, it is. I'm just happy that I got noticed. - FloppyLlamaDigg, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15They can if you make a lego woman!
- Akaji, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13I'd like to see someone attempt Jordan on expert with that thing... looks like it'd be difficult to use. An impressive feat, nonetheless.
- opticsnake, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12Blend
- saqibnk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9This is what The White Stripes use to play Guitar Hero.
- Gatesophile, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Dugg for "LEGO" instead of "legos"
- scrimaxinc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11Why would they model the lego guitar after the xbox style controller, but show the original GH controller alongside? I MEAN COME ON PEOPLE.....that's just silly!
- srgtTarantula, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Maybe you should take better care of your stuff, my GH1 guitar still works perfectly, whammy bar and all.
- ers35, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6It's called "it's" not "its".
- blahtastic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7What's sad is that actually looks cooler than all the Guitar Hero guitars out thus far. Seriously, they don't even stick fake tuning keys on them. How lame is that...
If I could get a real lego guitar that would be sick...Probably sound like hell, but still Legos, :D - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -0/+5And Ron Paul political *****.
- NeoCortex, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6My life-sized Lego Slave Leia disagrees with you.
- danterner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4This would be perfect for use with a low-res version of Guitar Hero.
- kentifer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3FTA: "Just slightly larger"
- Nidy1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Yay finger indents from legos.
- Import98, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'd like to know how that is "slightly" bigger then the original. The friggin thing is huge!
- ab498, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Guilt-Free Guitar Smashing after ripping "Free Bird" on expert.
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I could do that. However, a real guitar is just a *little* above my monetary threshold. A guitar controller is less costly, and if I broke the electric boards in the process of making the guitar, that is a $40 mistake, as opposed to a $500+ mistake.
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Because I made the controller before last winter, far before anyone said anything about Guitar Hero being for 360, and before the second game even came out. The original guitar alongside it is to show scale.
- MrMacMan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1why is it so big with no wireless capabilities? I saw a GH guitar with wireless, this is huge and no wireless? comeon.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2No, that's Family Guy, YouTube videos, and Break.com videos.
- farsight010, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Seriously. I still use, and prefer, my original GH1 controller.
- stacky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's made of Lego. Give the man a break.
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Nope. I don't use glue on any of my creations. I've dropped the guitar multiple times, and I've hit the wall with it before. It barely ever broke. And if it did, it was an easy fix.
- aoneal417, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i would like a pic of that
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hahaha. That's for me to know ;)
Lego is a fun hobby for me. - BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Same here. The guts of that controller are the boards from a controller from the launch. This guitar has served me well, and is working perfectly.
In AnimalTaglits defense, there are some EXTREMELY crappily made controllers out there. One of the ones that my friend had lasted a few weeks. They're either really bad (my friend's) or really good (mine). - BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0And by the way, there is someone that made an actual guitar.
http://www.engadget.com/2004/07/30/the-lego-guitar/ - joltjake, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2yeah, but he made it using the parts from a guitar hero guitar, that's just stupid. Show me when he makes a real LEGO guitar, and I will digg it.
- BlueStarMedia, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2It's actually pretty easy to play. Since the buttons are square, it's somewhat harder to slide your fingers between them for hammer-ons and pull-offs, but with practice, I was able to play it just as well as I did the normal guitar.
- edenseager, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Is lego taking over digg.com?
- slimflashjoe73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It's like a bigger, heavier, uglier, pointier, more fragile Guitar Hero Controller! Who wouldn't want one?
- YelloJello0wnz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0you better have super glued that together.
- DoMifer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1http://www.ericharshbarger.org/lego/faq.html
Scroll down to #18. - Tivor, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Now THAT's awesome. :)
- Randinn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Very nice work.
- KidVicious, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1.
- swdc17, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1If only I had saved my lego collection...sigh
- srgtTarantula, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1No, trust me, i play way to much guitar hero, it consumes most of my day.
The problem is people practically punch these things, when all you really need to do is raise you middle finger a little to push it down, that's what i mean by taking care if it.
It's like kids with Wiimotes that break their tv's, you don't need to swing as hard as you would with a real bat. - Zbrah, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2nah,it would def. be red.
- JonLatane, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Maybe you don't play enough Guitar Hero then (or at least as much as most of my friends). I've never seen a whammy bar last more than 4-6 months. And what is there to be "taken care of?" I mean, aside from not letting it get dirty, there's not much you can do, and nothing you can do about the whammy bar.
They do have a durable design overall, though. The whammy bar is the only thing that breaks. - givinupthefight, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Doing my best to wipe away the dirty feeling that just reading that gave me...
- vuke69, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1A dirty feeling like that can't be wiped away, only rubbed out.
- thesnoo52, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0Would be awesome to break haha.
- PidgeonDeath, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0EDIT: Never mind, I can't count...
