- twtmc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+51It's real. I'm playing it right now. Shows what you guys know.
- LordRahl72, on 10/12/2007, -5/+30It is real and it is not beta. I have about 10 hours into it so far and this game deserves the highest score imaginable for this type of game.
Absolutely incredible so far.
I will still be picking up the collectors addition that I pre ordered next month when it comes out. - djSyndrome, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32Because you're magically somehow one of the 19 people that had grabbed the torrent as of your post? Right.
One thing I've learned on the internet is if you can't back things like this up with a photo, it's not worth posting. - icealchemist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17::[ NUKE ]::[ Final Fantasy XII USA PS2DVD iND ]::[compare.with.jap.dumbass.or.read.the.*****.nfo.you.bloody.moron.its.beta.mislabeled.

NUKE WARS! - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17He could have the original release which arrived via Usenet.
- bigd063, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16You need swap magic to boot copied games. If you copied swap magic, you would need a real swap magic disc to boot your copy. Think about it.
- sl4x0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15FYI, here's the release .NFO in English from the IND release.

the 'scene release' floating around is actually this release, stolen, fag style - Odweaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Wasn't this game out around six months ago in japan?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14oh wow let me set the way back machine and get it then!
- teamparadox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Well I guess that means it was on newgroups even sooner.
- alexp2ad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9That's not true, games tend to go gold a month or so in advance of release, they have to have time to make sure all changes have been tested fully, time to press discs, print manuals and boxes and ship them to stores... I don't think many games companys would work on a game under a month before release.
- Pharaoh777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Torrent section?
- thegreatsam, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Be nice if they would finally release another FF for the PC crowd...
- jonnyq, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13d8cam: well, FFVIII wasn't widely acclaimed, FFIX didn't get a big marketing push, but was a great game in a nostalgic sense (the graphics were toned down a bit, but the gameplay was great). FFX is loved by about as many people as FFVII - FFX vs. FFVII fanboy debates are ugly ugly scenes. FFX-II was good, but not as good as part I and, and only good if you played part I. FFXI is online-only, so once those that like MMORPGS and are willing to play a monthly fee are even interested in it.
So, to sum up, between FFVII and FFX, there wasn't much to rave about. I'm not sure how you missed the FFX craze - it was huge - but it came and went. My copy of FFX says "2001, 2002" on it. It's been 4 - 5 years since a real FF game came out (other that remakes and rereleases), so if you missed the FFX craze, it's been a LONG time.
The FFVII sequel JUST came out, FFXII is right around the corner, there are talks of FF remakes (III, VI) and offshoots (XII) for the Nintendo DS, and there are going to be like 4 separate FFXIII games. After a long drought, FF fans have a LOT to get excited about. - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Well, at least those in the UK and Europe won't have to wait until next year to play it.
What the hell takes them so long anyway? The translation is done, all they need to do is change the region code, and MAYBE recode some of the FMVs (IF they were running at 60fps, they'd need to run at 50). - pkakira88, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4How relavent was that, I'm sorry but why is that even brought up.
On a more relavent note, anything based of the FF Tactics world has to be good =)
PS Guitar Freaks/Drummania V for life. - millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Don't forget Kingdom Hearts 2
(Mystery Solved: Geeks love sequels to what amounts to their soap operas, and they'll do whatever it takes to be the "first" to leak the sequel on teh internets for 1337ness). - millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Kingdom Hearts II (USA) was leaked early and it turned out to be real...
This is neither condoning or endorsing piracy, I'm just saying these things do happen. Hell, even Chrono Cross (PSone) USA release was leaked a few months before it hit the stores, too.
Likely these are the copies released to the press. Probably a snot-nosed son of a game journalist thought he'd be 1337 and upload this to torrenters. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5emulate a ps2 on your pc... theres you PC version =P lol
- gene, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This is final code, from a limited review pressing.
- gene, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No, someone in the scene decided to just tag it iND, instead of pass it on to some grp. The other kiddies put it on torrents.
- millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Final Fantasy 8 was the highest-selling entry in the series.
- gooktime, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I heard someone at Gamespot leaked this one to a release group. Crazy stuff.
- inkubux, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3FFX was incredible, I was waiting my FFXII copy at the end of the month. I'm sure I won't have it completed by then anyway so :)
- PcChip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2When Square/Enix's lawyers get going, Kevin Rose is going to catch hell for having a torrent of their game linked directly from his site :(
That said, downloading it now for a preview of what it's going to be like (Yes, I will still BUY the game!) - darmokan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*cough cough* usenet *cough*
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think this digg sums it all up to be honest....

- Wedge1212, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2because i love my FF, my gen 1 PS2 is busted, and final fantasy is the only game i still get all giddy over i'll wait :)
- jacenat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2how is mininova NOT a torrent site?
and why the ***** was my initial comment get dug down? - nugge7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the link -- This will make my wife very happy. Wait, this isn't a torrent site. My bad, continue on.
- ByteGuerilla, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3How about a nice game of Chess?
- thefold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah seriously, I had the release date down as this month and now it's jumped to January. I'll still buy it as Square Enix is one of the few gaming companies I have a lot of respect for.
Until then though, this will do me nicely, I'm only about 2hrs in and have no idea where this story is going to go - thatbox, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Nuke wars? http://www.everybody-dies.com/
Defcon! - pickle430, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i got it but it wont load on my HDadvance... its just a black screen...got it yester day morning
- decay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1KH2 was leaked ?
- PissedGamer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Got it, works good. My DVD burner sucks, though, so I have to burn another copy with a good one so the movies won't skip.
- alphavision, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@Ben64
The gameplay is not at all like FFXI, even though it visually looks like it does. Magic casts take the same amount of time as a melee attack. There are no skillchains between members. You can walk while casting, albiet slower than normal. "Chains" do not boost exp and there is no time limit; you just kill the same type of mob over and over again and get better loot and sometimes HP/MP recovery. MP recovers while you walk.
Above all, the Gambit System makes this game seem more like a programming task. You set an 'algorithm' of some sort for your characters to follow and you tweak it as conditions change (different monster, new moves) and require a different strategy. My biggest gripe is that there was no way to save Gambit configurations. I don't know if they improved upon this in the US release or not. Also, summons were pretty useless in my opinion. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Thank You to the guy posting screens that this is real
- davymac, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1haha.. seriously.. peerguardian always goes berzerk on those types of things
- darmokan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I suppose that would be a matter of opinion. I find a modchip to be far less hassle than a swap disc. Seriously:
Waste 2 hours inside your PS2 once --OR-- waste 5 minutes every time you boot a backup.
Wouldn't the Swap Magic disc get scratched from all the use? And isn't the purpose of a Swap Magic to protect your real discs and use backu... oh wait, I forgot. Y'all are pirates. Whatever, carry on. - shoplift, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hey is swap magic illegal??
bec it bypasses leaked games from the net. - Recluse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If only I had a mod chip.
- LRoy12, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4yes it was. this is usa version supposedly >_>.. but i am not touching it. i bet peerguardian will go crazy on that.
- alphavision, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Use WinRAR to extract the ISO from the archive files. Then burn it using whatever burning software. Make sure to burn at a lower speed to avoid skipping and errors.
- Jimmynib, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can sum1 help me I have downloaded FFXII from a certain anonymous torrent site lol but I cannot convert it to .iso so I can burn it and do I have too do it too all of the files or just the one with the file extension .rar as all the others are .r00-.r63 and then there is a .nfo file and a .sfv file but I just dont understand how too burn all this onto a DVD and I mainly use DVDecrypter if you have herd of that if you can help it will be very much appreciated as I downloaded it on the 8th of October and still havent been able too get it working on my PS2 which has a MOD CHIP so thanks for any help and tell me if you need anymore information
Thanks
~Sum Guy~
LOL - strotee, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Got it from a private torrent tracker (and no, I won't say where) early this morning (at 500+ kbs), burned it to DVD, used Swap Magic 3.6, it works fine. :)
- jadenguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i'm on it. and it's legit. and i can't find the patch i need.
