- djw1191, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1On a side note not everyone had has problems with the patch or the unpatched game.
- febryle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you uninstall the game it gives you an option to keep your profiles and configuration. Then just reinstall and it works fine. Very easy.
- pythro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just back up the Battlefield 2 Directory in My Documents. Besides I dont even think uninstalling removes that folder anyway.
- icespide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow way to go EA
- weezer1024, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm just hoping that there will be a fix for the fix that doesn't require me to uninstall and lose all my configurations. BF2 is a serious pain in the ass to configure all the keys.
- Duston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am glad they are actually addressing it instead of staying quiet about it and just rushing out another patch.
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0EA dropped the ball on this one...usually EA games are great but what happened? It's so buggy I'm not playing it until they have new fixes out.
- geetee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Battlefield 2, what a ***** joke. The free demo ran better than the damn thing I paid $50 for.
- ack1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Geez, this thing is so buggy, the awkward and painfully slow menus, the inability to escape out of a connection, the name change problem, etc. makes me wonder if this wasn't written by the Sims team.
- reaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm still running the patch. Plenty of ranked servers still up.
- suMMx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it is an ea product so I'm not surprised
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Memory leakage
- sayten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good thing they got on it and admited a problem, they'll have a it fixed soon. Great game and def. shoe in for Game of the Year in all the top mags.
- Jammerdelray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0as for myself I don't hate ea....I am just dissapointed in them....Hopefully they will make good on getting the game working right.
- infra172, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm running the patch without any noticable memory leak problems. Then again, I don't have a crappy computer.
- josdigital, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0just like 1942, had a lot of bugs at first but eventually became pretty solid
- Thandor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0PA had it right when they said the largest game developer of the largest of one of the sequels to the largest franchise of computer games can't even get it right.
- blijack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ea haters, yet you still buy the game
- dee-vee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I really wish they would have tested this entire game more...
- YoshoKatana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have since returned my copy because of dissapointments with EA's products. Hopefully they'll get their act together. Just because they're big doesn't mean they can slack off so much. (wow..I had to edit that, I think this mac is making me dyslexic. ^_^ )
- BlueMeanie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BF1942 was buggy as hell when released. BFV was buggy as well and suffered from major balance issues when released. Given Dice's widely know difficulty in shipping bug-free product, WHY IN THE NAME OF GOD DID YOU PEOPLE BUY BF2 AT LAUNCH? Wait 6 months, it'll work fine then.
- CompIsMyRx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Next, the patch to patch the patch will be worse. I predict that v1.02 will have a crash so bad that it will go BSOD in XP. (P.S. I once tried to play a flash game that gave me a BSOD; not really related, but I just wanted to say it).
- zebwinz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0good point, bluemeanie, wish i would have read that before i dropped the dough(and installed that damned patch!}
- Dygear, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Can you say "PR Nightmare". Well, I do hope the people at DICE and EA can, because that is just what they have on their hands. It would seem that the BF2 1.01 Patch has a memory leak. Yes that's right kids, a MEMORY LEAK. That is insane. Not only does there server browser SUCK, they don't let you change your own name with out erasing your stats, but they have also managed to make the game unplayable after around 25 minutes. That's quite impressive for a new game. Note to DICE and EA, get your act together, we have had enough of this ***** from VALVe, we don't need it from you.
- alexmensen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0never got it so HAHA
