Do your controllers disconnect when playing the PS3. This may be why.
cache.gizmodo.com — I stumbled across this and I think it explains why the PS3 controllers seem to randomly disconnect for some people. It appears that Sony has begun using a new BT antenna in the 80GB systems that have come out recently. I guess myself and all of the other 20GB/60GB owners are screwed. Digg it up and make Sony help out the 20GB/60GB owners.

- coheedcollapse, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It doesn't happen often, but it sucks when it happens.
Weirdest thing about this problem is that it only seems to manifest when I'm playing multiplayer Resistance. I've clocked in at least a few hundred hours on the PS2 RPG's that I had leftover before I bought the system and in other games (Oblivion, warhawk, etc), but I haven't experienced it outside of Resistance.- truspector, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3From what I've read it's supposedly caused by wireless interference, but people seem to think this new antenna will fix the issue. When you had it happen in Resistance did you have to reboot the console? I could never get mine to work right again without rebooting.
- coheedcollapse, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Woah that sucks. When I get a glitch, I'm usually just stuck spinning around in a circle or going straight into a wall like the last direction that I pushed keeps on transmitting. That happens for a few seconds and then it's back to normal for a few hours. I'd never have to restart or anything.
What I have noticed is that since I switched from using wireless to play online to using ethernet, I haven't run into the problem nearly as much (if I have at all).

- WhereAmI, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Too bad the SIXAXIS controllers batteries aren't (easily) removeable. I know when the 360 disconnects I just take out the battery and put it in quick.
