Command & Conquer 3 - New Trailer & Screenshots
darkzero.co.uk — This is the very first in-game trailer, and there are some new screens too. The level of detail is much higher than Generals, there is a Tiberian forest and it looks like the music is just like the very original!

- cheez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15and you will need what kind of specs to run this?
- Smalldude76, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20One can only imagine a military level supercomputer with a quadro processor and 16G of RAM.
In all seriousness though, it looks amazing and I cannot wait to play it. - PYREX, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2i heard through the grapevine that you will need a quantum computer, 100TB of DDR5,000,000 and a GeForce99999999999950
oh and a Sound Blaster Live! - dictatortot, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4computer spec exaggeration jokes never get old.
sike.
- Smalldude76, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20One can only imagine a military level supercomputer with a quadro processor and 16G of RAM.
- RichPowers, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9I'm reluctantly optimistic about this game. EA totally bastardized the series with Generals; it's about time they return to the game's roots.
But as much as I love C&C, I probably won't buy it if it's just the same ole formula only with new cut scenes and shinier graphics. At least Supreme Commander is aiming to fundamentally change the RTS genre...- theBrink, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11the CnC series was repeating itself LONG before EA took over.
- MasterGrief, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12I'm not planning on buying it anyway, because it's not an expansion of Red Alert 2. The thing I always liked about RA2 over CC was that it was light-hearted and humorous, playing on stereotypes from both competing nations. Command and Conquer has, and always will be, a serious game about world domination. When I hear about a new C&C, I was optimistic that it would be a game at least in the vein of RA2--kinda funny and not ever really serious. So much for that.
Anyone else agree with me? (Somehow I think I'll get buried for this, but oh well) - TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8What was bad about Generals?!!?
Honestly most of these games turn me off because of the backdrop COUGH**warcraft**COUGH
but I thought the USA, China, GLA(Middle eastern terror group)...was one of the slickest backdrops for an RTS....
maybe the war we're in the middle east made it more interesting..who knows - marmaduke, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Well that bastard was mighty fine, Generals is still one of my favorite games.
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I thought that C&C: Tiberium Dawn was more involving than others in the series because of it's near-future setting. Red Alert wasn't too bad, but Tiberium Sun and RA2 lost that immediacy, in the same way that you didn't really care for your robots in TA (despite TA being way superior to RA).
I like, and play regularly, Generals (particularly Zero Hour), probably because of its near-future setting. Or because I like using about 32 Aurora Alphas to destroy whole bases in one sortie. :)
This is why Battlefield 2142 will be a flop. The weapons will be too powerful, and as soon as you put lasers in there, well... what sounds better, a zap or a rat-a-tat-tat... compare a Pee Wee laser to a GDI guard tower rip gun (although the Obelisk charge still sends shivers down my spine). - mike_p, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, I seemed to like Tiberium Sun and Red Alert 2. Those were probably one of the most anticipated C&Cs of all time. I guess there is a spot for a different C&C title in everyone's hearts.
This new game really looks amazing, though.
- Hellsadvocate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well, I'm definately excited, this is a great time for RTS players, been a long time since TWO amazing franchises just released Supreme Commander and now C&C Hell yes, oh by the way:
Lmfao at the "Nod Alert Level" - joel.smith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that takes me back a ways... back when Command & Conquer first came out. This is should be awesome.
- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I loved Red Alert 2.. even the opening movie rocked
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4torrent for the 61mb wmv:
http://brian.shaler.name/t_cc3_tw_gh_h264.wmv.torrent
:-)- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2would be nice if there were any seeds
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3i'm seeding. it would be nice if 1,000,000 seeders magically appeared within seconds of the torrent being created, wouldn't it?!
download it then seed it.. there, $seeders++; - FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm showing 0 seeds... 0 Peers... I would LOVE to download and seed it.. but you must be behind a firewall or something... Do you get NAT errors in your torrent client?
- invader, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i'm behind a firewall, but that is most definitely not the problem.. i haven't been able to upload to TPB successfully recently, so i used a different tracker for this one.. i think it might have been getting an error from the tracker (even though it was already seeding to someone else).. but should be cleared up, now.. TPB > torrentbox.. when TPB works...

(here's the link again for the lazy who don't want to scroll back up)
http://brian.shaler.name/t_cc3_tw_gh_h264.wmv.torrent - FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ok, I see another reason why the seeds aren't piling on... I got the file from the direct download, and went to go seed, and realized the link to the torrent file was getting diggstroyed... here is a mirror of the torrent

(and it's now being seeded a little better, so join in folks) - invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i'm getting pissed at my web host.. the last few days they've been really flaky.. there's no way the torrent file could take it down.. it's just ***** service.
- andrew911tt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I am still playing C and C Zero Hour. I can't wait it looks awesome hope my x1400 will be able to run it even at minimum. This might be the first computer game I ever buy legally.
- TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I still can't figure out why people disliked Generals and Zero Hour(outside of bugs from EA)
- MasterGrief, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Well, to me, it just didn't feel like a command and conquer game. Maybe it was the three dimensions, I don't know. It just seemed more like a generic RTS than a real C&C game.
- seether166, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm with you, I thought Generals and ZH were great.
- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I believe one of the major factors is that a good deal of the hardcore oldschool fans really liked the sidebar, as opposed to a bar along the bottom of the screen... I think it's silly. I LIKE having a good deal of the production take place in the buildings... I wish there was an easier way to refocus ON the buildings though. (maybe a sidebar for selecting the manufacturing buildings?)
- Elitegamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks awesome, cant wait.
- thatbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Westwood ;_;
- verbal272, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Original C&C is still one of my absolute favorite RTS games.
- swoosh_bnd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Command & Conquer series got me into the RTS genre of games. The other day I pulled out some Red Alert and it was still as fun as ever.
- Klever, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Supreme Commander > C&C3.
www.supremecommander.com
www.supcomuniverse.com- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Total Annihilation 2? Sweet.
- trydyingtolive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Oh man, I can't wait to play this game so that I can blow up abandoned buildings too. Mmm. I guess it looks good. Not much of a trailer. This isn't a demolition game right?
- SamyIsMyHero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You sound like you've never played the C&C or RA games so let me clarify if you haven't already heard from other posts: they are THE BEST single-player rts games so far, although RA2 was the only one of those games to take all of my free time away while I had it on my computer.
- SickAndDying, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1this looks friggin awesome i hated generals it was so different from all the classics
- ElegantFiend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1any chance of an Xbox 360 port?
- dacheetah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2RTS on a console without a mouse is hell, IMHO.
And *cry*... Australia is entirely red zone. :(
Looks like I'll have to move to Canada if I want to survive the Tiberium Wars.
Looks like fun, although it would have been nice to see MORE gameplay. I also doubt my little sempron mobile laptop will cope with those graphics... I'll have to desktop this one...
- dacheetah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2RTS on a console without a mouse is hell, IMHO.
- shiftless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wait... I don't just want to blow up buildings... That trailer was a bit dissapointing... Show some combat at least.
I can't wait for Total Annihilation 2 er... Supreme Commander. Their gameplay videos are insane! - 7thCommander, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Sup Com is going to be the best game ever. Total Annihilation is still the best RTS out there.
I'm really looking forward to C&C3 also. I was a big fan of the early games and also Generals for multiplayer. - lintmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Today's threat level is 'Elevated'."
That's awesome. - heiesuke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I loved CnC Generals as I hadn't played a CnC game since wayyyyyyy back. This new one looks slick but I'm not so sure I'm as optimistic about it as I would be for another CnC Generals game.
