I hate the irrational fanboyism that exclusives create, but I disagree with your statement. Generally multi-platform games are a bland bunch. You have a few diamonds in the rough, such as "Prince of Persia: SoT" or "Beyond Good and Evil", but for the most part they are the most mediocre of games. This is because most of the multi-platform games are developed for each console simultaneously, as opposed to a larger team focusing on one platform. These smaller teams lack the resources and time to develop a game made for just one platform. Also to have a certain uniformity between different platforms not much is done to fully take advantage of one system's strengths over another. Instead of dividing resources between multiple teams, a developer could decide to focus on one console release, and then port the title to other systems later. However, we all know that ports are a mixed bag, and also carry with them the later release date. Ubisoft does good work (they are the developers of my two aforementioned examples) and "Assassin's Creed" looks to uphold their good track record. Unfortunately they are the exception, not the rule. - SuMizzle, on 10/12/2007, -8/+40It was announced at X06. It is exclusive to the 360 and PC. Sorry to ***** on your potato salad.

- KrazyKoala, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23This is incorrect. I believe this article is from a magazine a few months ago. I've seen it before. Then after that Microsoft then announced the console exclusivity. Notice it says March 2007, whereas it was recently changed to may 2007.
- Stonedonkey, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24This is an old article and an inaccurate story. The amount of basic information about Bioshock (plus the fact that it has been "BioShock" for months), the wrong PS3 art at the top right, and the wrong release date shoulda tipped ya off : )
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16"On the contrary, with mouse/keyboard support, the PS3 is poised to become THE FPS console. I've always been a PC guy myself, but if the PS3 m/kb support works out,"
Unreal Tournament on the PS2 took advantage of mouse/keyboard input, but it was still just better on the PC thanks to the user created mods - chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Apologies guys - only after posting it did I realize the scan was old.
- Cojawfee, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18So you will give up your way more powerful (and only moderately more expensive) PC just to play an FPS that would have come out on PC anyway?
- probune, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16Inaccurate - the magazine is old, it has the old PS3 controller design in the upper left corner.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -8/+19This is going to make both PS3 owners very happy.
- modifiedbears, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10It IS exclusive. This is old and inaccurate. Some of you idiots are too quick to write up your little rants before checking things.
- miketuck3r, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13its not coming to ps3 the scans are from may 2006, it was announced as 360/pc exclusive at X06 later in the year
- Zips, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Just a horrible shame, that scan is OLD.
http://boards.ign.com/bioshock/b8010/117860387/p1/?29 - Note the date the scans were posted on the boards. (5/18)
The exact same scans ... posted back in May. Interesting.
Also of note is that X06 was held after that article went public. Months after actually. At X06, it was confirmed that BioShock is a 360 and PC exclusive.
Marked as inaccurate. - knodi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"Plus its OPM, they have a history of inaccurate reports."
"killzone a.k.a Halo killer" bahhaha - miketuck3r, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10##TO CLEAR THIS INCORRECT DIGG UP##
the scans are from may 2006, at X06 in october bioshock was confirmed as xbox360/pc exclusive

The PS3 fanboys are digging up 6 month old mag scans, i know times are hard but ... - xXShadowstormXx, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Marked as inaccurate.
- Lynn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"2K is excited to release BioShock exclusively on Xbox 360 and under the Games for Windows brand on the PC," said Christoph Hartmann, President, 2K. "BioShock is the next step in the evolution of first-person shooters and a perfect title to push the limits of Xbox 360."
- SomeManbeapig, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7inaccurate.
- Andrewc989, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Inaccurate
- logicalnoise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5ooooh how you have not actually read any of the comments.
- Tactis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8marked as inaccurate
- Zybex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I agree. I bought a 360 because I liked the idea of "shove in a disc and go" rather than "install, configure, crash, swear, patch, download newest video drivers, download newest directx, play"
True my PC hardware is comparable to the 360 now (Oldish system but it meets my needs) but there are very few (next to none) games that come with Linux binaries and on this particular machine dual booting doesn't seem to work out too well (a hard drive problem I believe). I am not swapping out hard drives and booting to win2k everytime I want to play a game.
Looking forward to Bioshock. System shock 2 is my all time favourite and this promises to be similar. As long as it is on the 360 I really don't care if the PS3 gets it too. - theonlybigboss, on 10/12/2007, -9/+13"So you will give up your way more powerful (and only moderately more expensive) PC just to play an FPS that would have come out on PC anyway?"
Cojawfee are you ***** high off your ass? a very good gaming PC cost far more than a PS3, stop your ***** trolling
anyone else tired of the "lets be all against sony just because its cool" *****? - UNSCleric, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This story is false, it's never coming to the PS3, sorry.
- HumanWaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4That's exactly what I was thinking. Notice the old PS3 model in the top left corner; this article is a bit old and probably inaccurate. Chances are, we'll hear something from the BioShock team that'll either confirm/deny this rumor.
- Phocion55, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Too bad....my 8 month old PC completely blows the "super insanely powerful" PS3 out of the water anyway.....
- EzarKun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Sorry, but there is always a price to pay.
Butt Rape. - daridave, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6OMG I can't believe there's morons out there who claim that the PS3 will be "TEH FPS PLACE" if it gets a keyboard and mouse.
Just call it a *****' PC, then... without the beauty of modding. In other words, crap. - Bobalobabingbon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I do, my friend has one, its awsome
- BlackKnight6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@distrbnce
He is probably right though about your PC. PCs have already leaped far, far ahead of the PS3 and 360 in the hardware arena (i.e. Intel Core 2 quadros, Nvidia 8800GTX, 4GB mem systems, etc).
Please don't try to bring up the Cell processor being 8 cores, it is not. It is ONE PPE core (though that is an in-order execution core, unlike superior desktop CPUs which are out-of-order execution cores) and 7 SPE's, and only 6 of the SPE's can be used for games. This goes for the 360 as well with its 3 PPE core CPU.
PCs will always be ahead, there is no arguing that. Hell, custom build a PC for less than $1,500 (including monitor and speakers and case and all) and you can build a PC better than the 360 and PS3 easy. Try including the cost of an HDTV and compatible surround sound system for the 360 or the PS3, it will be more in the end. - shug7272, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You guys do know that this is fake right? Well not fake but REALLY old. Never mind.
- Bobalobabingbon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the wiimote is ok, but your arms get tires after a while.
the ps2ps3 controllers are just fine, best you can get on a console so far, besides the keyboardmouse hookup on the ps3 - knodi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Buried for old and inaccurate/proven false info.
- JayD16, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I don't know...a Microsoft rep would claim that it would be all part of the live anywhere 360-PC pipe dream and is actually an exclusive as far as Microsoft is concerned.
- Zybex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Read the rest of this thread, then get a piece of paper and write
"I must not be a retard" 100 times. - joaob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5When will you ***** nerds get it ? The advantage of the console is that you can set it up anywhere, you almost never need to upgrade in order to play a new game or a sequel (so you know you're good for at least 3-4 years), you can easily play multiplayer games when your friends come over, and you can easily hook it up to your 72" Plasma TV while keeping your PC connected to a 17" monitor when work needs to be done.
Yes we all know your super duper uber computer is so much fasterzzzz and you have 6 gigs of RAM and oodles of processing power. And the mouse lets you ownz peoples from miles away. Awesome. Congratulations. - slaystench, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah... I don't read magazines at all. They are usually behind the times. =p
- harelo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think more than anything its a Microsoft exclusive, since this game will only be available on Microsoft's XBox 360 and Windows based PCs (it won't be available in a Macintosh for example). So rather than an Xbox/PC exclusive, it would be more accurate to say BioShock is a Microsoft Exclusive.
- theshad0w2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Check 2kGames website this is an exclusive title to PC and 360!
The Official BioShock site also claims its exclusive! - Dreamtwister, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Marked as inaccurate...scared me for a bit there..heh...Im such the MS fanboy you should shoot me :).
- ulcards2033, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No more horrible than any other controller. Well maybe the wiimote is better but they're no worse than any other uh "classic style" controller.
- kelbear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hchaudh1 is wrong.
Less exclusives doesn't help gamers. It just gives PS3 market share so that they can increase their own load of exclusives, which is /bad/ for gamers. I'd rather the PS3 go the way of Neo Geo so that I'll own all the relevant gaming platforms rather than add more hardware to my setup and shell out big bucks to play a PS3 exclusive that might have ended up on PC or Xbox360(Wii is in a different market entirely so I don't have to worry about my Wii losing exclusives to other consoles).
The PS3 is a good console, no question about it from me. If it was affordable, I would love to have one. But it is too goddamn expensive and it doesn't offer much more than my Xbox360. So less PS3 games means less PS3 exclusives, meaning more games made available to me on my Xbox360. - SonicPower, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg you up because this is the truth.
Unfortunately, all the PS3 fanboys have dugged the article.
Please mark as inaccurate. - strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"dugged"
Are you sure you didn't mean "duggeded"? - erkayae, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Inaccurate.
- BlackKnight6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you played System Shock or Deus Ex, you would understand the gameplay. Bioshock gameplay seems to be like Deus Ex (FPS/RPG/Stealth hybrid, very fun and successful PC game) with a mix of "GTA/Saints Row"; the idea that you will see NPCs reacting with each other like you are in the middle of a living world, minus the stealth aspect of Deus Ex unless I missed them mentioning a stealth system. Some NPCs kill others while other while protect the one being attacked, read here for more detail on the world in Bioshock:

Besides, modding is not that far off with internet enabled consoles equipped with hard drives/flash memory and/or SD cards. - kanundrum, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Just look at the website http://2kgames.com/bioshock at the logos that are there at the bottom . No ps3. I would know
