Aussie Cops Find A PS2 Full Of Drugs

news.com.au — If police cracked a PS2 open and found a mod chip? There'd be trouble in the US, but in Australia, no sweat. They're legal. But 3400 ecstasy tablets, that's going a little too far.

      Sony took a modder to court(PS2) & lost because the mod chip allowed people to get around region coding. If the mod chips had ONLY allowed copied games to be played, they'd have won. So Sony then had a choice, remove region coding in Australian Playstations & moddding would then be illegal or keep ripping off the public by selling the same game for $99 in Australia & $20 in Indonesia - Sony chose the latter!

      Australian customs are amongst the best in the world. You have to be smarter than that to get drugs into the country. It could be anything, detectors, drug sniffing dogs, xray that picked it up.

Because of the industry I am in (Drug Rehab), I know many people that once used & dealt drugs and had to hit bottom (often getting arrested), before they were willing to get the treatment they needed & deserved to get their lives back.

Being straight edge is a terrible thing, and even worse is that if you don't use it, you can't really sell it very well... we all know there are huge profits to be made, kids to get hooked, and plenty of gutters to roll around in.
