- Powerfan5000, on 03/31/2009, -0/+54I think Resident Evil would be more fun with zombies.
- oldenburg06, on 04/01/2009, -0/+39Halo 3 does have a zombie mode. It's called "multiplayer."
- blofeld9999, on 04/01/2009, -0/+33I didn't realize zombies sounded like 13 year old homophobic racist boys.
- ELCad, on 03/31/2009, -6/+30Kind of lame list. Though Sim City with zombies is a good idea.
- inactive, on 04/01/2009, -0/+22Seriously, I hate getting called a niggerfaggot every time I play some Halo.
- Derka010, on 04/01/2009, -0/+17They should put them in a GTA game... And maybe some Twilight characters I would love to kill those mother ***** in a simulation...
- thegamingguy, on 03/31/2009, -1/+17I'd love to set up a portal on the ground and have all of the zombies fall in it with another portal right above it. Watching a waterfall of zombies might be sensory overload.
- FUR10N, on 04/01/2009, -0/+15Mirror's Edge.
- Calculon, on 04/01/2009, -2/+16Good idea, terrible article.
- quomen, on 04/01/2009, -0/+11Pokemon.
- cqdemal, on 04/01/2009, -0/+11Forget about the Twilight peeps. A zombie GTA would be absolutely fantastic. Half the vehicles, three times the pedestrians/zombies and double the ammo capacity. Choose a starting spot, then head for the extraction zone on the other side of the city. With 32 people.
- Jack8274, on 04/01/2009, -0/+9Stick to the Steam community if you want a good online experience. Xbox live is riddled with those douchebags.
- Thorpe, on 04/01/2009, -0/+8I would totally love an expansion pack for GTA IV, where the whole map is textured with ruins and dilapidated buildings. Place many, many zombies everywhere and make it into some survival title. Kinda a cross between I Am Legend and Dead Rising.
- NJSlacker, on 04/01/2009, -0/+7the Sim City idea was easily the best one.
- Halsfield, on 04/01/2009, -0/+6L4D meets portal would be an incredible game, at least in my head. A team of portal gun wielding test subjects that are trying to escape wave after wave of zombies released by the evil AI that is trying to keep you from leaving the facility. You have to use your portal gun to drop enemies off cliffs, reach places of safety, etc. They might also give you the gravity gun from Half-life 2 to give you more direct damage capabilities. Portal was more of a strategy game than some kind of shooter, but I think adding a sincere sense of urgency would make it a lot more exciting and making it Co-op and online is even better.
Although on second thought that sounds a lot like resident evil co-op with a portal gun but I still think it would be fun. - Stormwern, on 04/01/2009, -0/+6No, Halo needs to have it's zombie mode taken away, the flood is the worst enemy ever.
- Jack8274, on 04/01/2009, -2/+7Adding zombies is a bad idea? Man you haven't been on digg for very long.
- shinkou, on 04/01/2009, -1/+6Zim City!!!
- HopeForTomorrow, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4Also included: Flood.
- Zbug, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4I'm not quite fond of this list. I shall provide my own for your viewing pleasure.
Personal 8:
8. Duke Nukem 3D
There's little I really have to say here. It's a 80's action hero with overpowered weapons in beautifully mapped environments and a lot of them. The Xbox Live version could especially benefit from a zombie mode with the advanced blend of awesome that zombies would incur.
7. Soul Calibur
Most people would probably think that a fighting game wouldn't be the best choice for a list such as this, however Soul Calibur was different: it had weapons. A good zombie mode could be similar to the polygon mode in super smash, but with a friend. I still play Soul Calibur on my Dreamcast with friends to this day and me and a friend ruthlessly swinging away at zombies coming from either side of the screen would drain hours from weekends. The fighters could finally put down their differences for the greater cause: zombies.
6. Golden Eye
You will never forget the fun you've had with friends in this game. You know that Odd Job is a cheap little son of a bitch, you know that the golden gun is the only thing in the world worth having, and you know that zombies would have made it even better. All those cheats in the cheat menu, but no zombies.
5. Katamari Damaci
Katamari Demaci not only would be incredibly fun to play with a zombie mode, but also provide a new unheard of solution to the upcoming zombie apocalypse: Roll 'em the ***** up. Sure, half of the greatness of zombies is that primal sadism, but as Tenacious D so memorably said. "You don't always have to ***** her hard."
4. Red Steel
Red Steel was a good game, however it suffered because of its single player design. Because it used variations of point 'a' to point 'b' just the simple addition of zombies would have made it awesome.
3. Twisted Metal (Series)
In my humble opinion, the Twisted Metal Series may be the best car combat game of all time and there is only one thing it could have possibly needed needed: zombies. Imagine this: You're going 90 mph through hordes zombies, watching blood stream from the spoiler and another car swerves around a corner, taking out three zombies; sliding on their entrails, then engaging their machine gun on you. You whip into a 180 an let off a missile into his bumper turning it into a pile of blood and metal. Sounds good, doesn't it?
2. Metal Slug (Series)
The Metal Slug Series may be my favorite side scroller series of all time. Beautiful graphics, powerful weapons, inventive bosses and situations, and godly multiplayer. So what more do you need for the craziest side scrolling zombie shooter of all time? Just piles of the undead laying at your feet. Sure, there were zombie like creatures in metal slug before, but not the real thing. Not the zombie horde that you can sink bullets into only to prepare for a wave twice the fight which shall be slaughtered by two machine guns like they were meat grinders. Look at this, for example:

1. Grand Theft Auto 4
First you just wanted to kill the mob bosses, then their cronies. Soon, you got bored and ordinary people were your target. Then, after not too long, you were a cold blooded granny killer, plump and ready to be used as evidence in a Jack Thompson trial. But still you want more, and those bastards at Rockstar Games know it. Zombies. They should have been included from the start, and we all know it. Every part of the game was tuned for it: Being able to load so many characters on screen at once, drool worthy multiplayer, entire underground subway structures, and cars that make bigger explosions than hand grenades. I personally think they made this game for zombies, found it too great for the world to handle, then turned it into another part of the GTA franchise. I really hope there is actual multiplayer DLC sometime in the future to support it. - Liam2012, on 03/31/2009, -1/+5Put the zombies in Grey's Anatomy for Wii and let us be the zombies. I'd fuk that hospital up!
- mynameistux, on 04/01/2009, -0/+4this is why I didn't get a 360, that and the RROD
I am quite happy with PC gaming. - ShyGuy91284, on 04/01/2009, -0/+48 video games? Every game needs a zombie mode!!
- eelwrolyat, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3Seriously, the only reason I play WaW is for Nazi Zombies. The online gameplay was fun, but it just got old; killing zombies is more fun.
- Powerfan5000, on 04/01/2009, -0/+3The brains are a lie!
- Virgule, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2pffft. The only game that need a zombie mode is GTA.
- fanfablebig, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2what a dumb list. only game on there that made sense is sim city.
- mabsark, on 04/01/2009, -1/+3Single pixel zombies FTW.
- mynameistux, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2so, you just want l4d with a gta engine?
- Rivfader, on 04/01/2009, -0/+2Halo 3 already has zombies, they are called the flood. The multiplayer mode has a zombie mode too.
- sokol44, on 04/01/2009, -1/+2dug for SIMcity :)
- AdmiralAcbar, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1@Jack I don't know, I've been called some... interesting things on Left4Dead...
- Charlotte_Web, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1I nominate Barbie: Island Princess as a game that is desperately needing some zombie action.
And a BFG. - Raethar, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Srsly.
- agentsrecord, on 04/01/2009, -2/+3I know these are all supposed to be a joke. I know these aren't supposed to be taken seriously. I know the concept is kind of just a gag. But... GOD DAMN WOULD THEY BE FUN!
- Gustomucho, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Every game should have a zombie mode.
- brathbun, on 04/02/2009, -0/+1Sim City Zombies, would be neat...or a RTS Zombie game
- okitasan, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1well that was silly
- RagManX, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Honestly, there are few games that wouldn't be made better with a zombie mode. I just wish I were creative enough to make a zombie mod for any game I like.
- bjs3171, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1there's a Grey's Anatomy video game??
- corytheboyd, on 04/01/2009, -1/+2Terrible list.
- iiiears, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1
1.) Zombies
2.) Power E*TRADE Pro
3.) ...
4.) Profit! - NamesTwister, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1
- bjs3171, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Yes. According to NBC yesterday, it'll kill you. It's a very powerful computer virus.
- rsdigi, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1NO GTAIV??? That game begs for zombie mode, it would be like playing I am legend! A few biohazard signs here, a few crashed cars there, and overgrown vegetation everywhere and you have an awesome end of the world zombie game. (oh yeh add zombies)
- Bangaarang, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1I gave up multiplayer on L4D, 4 minutes of loading and connecting just to get a group of people who want to play by themselves and vote kick you out which causes another 4 minutes of loading just to get back to the main screen.
- n00bcake, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1Hello kitty: island adventure zombie mode!!
