- Cojawfee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Hopefully with that twice the map and twice they content, they can upgrade to twice the graphical quality. I know that graphics aren't everything, but come on, it isn't 2001 anymore.

- scallon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You know what? Its awesome that everyone wants a game thats twice the size, and I would fully support that. However, they would do better to improve the gameplay a bit. Sure, the game is absolutely massive, but San Andreas is just boring after a while. I loved 3 and Vice City (and i played all the originals, as unbearable as they sometimes were, though they still had their moments), and they weren't nearly as large. How about making the cops more realistc? Or varying the vehicles a bit more? Yes, I know there are like 150 cars or something like that, but how many of you use more than ten or so?
Look at it this way: San Andreas was massive. Easily the largest sandbox game yet made. However, how much of that was empty space? If you blew up your car in the middle of the desert, you were *****, as the game wouldnt load any other vehicles or people. You had to walk for ten damn minutes.
How about varying the NPCs a bit? There are only a handful of uniquely different people walking around the city, and each only says one or two things.
Size is a great start, but let's work to improve the overall quality a bit first. - Vinthian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the more the merrier! well, san andreas was pretty good, but twice the content and map size O_O....
- miketuck3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Its a fair amount of devs but it a dual platform game... Mass Effect for example is a single platform game (xb360) and has 130 + devs

A few weeks old, but news nevertheless. - tydev417, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just Cause is actually the largest sandbox game as of now....but like San Andreas has square acres of nothing.
- bunni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the in game targeting system, or lack thereof
- lwalk80, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Character wise, they need to do something like Bully did, but better. There was like only 10 character models or so at the school, but each child at the school was a different name. You couldn't tell who was who. They needed more student models. I'm having a blast with Bully. Both games are awesome. Only time will tell if GTA4 will top the previous ones.
- silenceissexy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know about showing off, but if they want to one-up San Andreas, they'll really have to come up with something special.
Also, with 150 developers, maybe they can get the targeting right! - codyman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So GTA IV is going to be twice as big map with even more detail.... so at this rate GTA VI is going to have its own solar system :-)
- Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I could easily settle for newer and more maps, even if the engine was left as is (SA engine). I loved that game soooo much, i loved them all from 3 onwards mind you (i loved one, but it's not one you can go back to nowadays, but from 3 on it's pretty much playable even now).
There's a bit of a contradiction in real life here though...i STILL don't want to go and kill anyone, nor do i want to steal cars. Maybe i'm playing it wrong to feel so uninspired? - csmanzarek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0by targeting do you mean like market targeting, or do you mean by just in game fireing systems
