- Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Didn't read the whole thing, but I sure hope it's true. Yeah I'm one of those spoiled kids who is wanting one for Christmas.
- lobbster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0go the spoilt w00t
- reidypeidy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1great, 300,000 more defected pieces of crap from Micro$oft...
- elShaggy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hey maybe some of us who preordered and paid in full in August can get our consoles. Yay!
- duketogo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Maybe I'll sell another few on eBay.
- bonlebon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All the units that didn't sell in Japan come back home, welcome home boy but don't expect a mayor homecoming party.
- kramit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0aah, who needs more 360s, i had mine on launch day and that's all that matters :-)
- Amadeus2490, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0
Now HOPEFULLY I can get one and sell it.
I just want 3,200 dollars, is all. . .::looks down; kicks ground:: - Pooavenger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0it might be too little to late though.
- sparkey182, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3haha, i love the bitterness, so exciting. Its awesome how people who cant have something convince themselves that they dont want it, and that its defective anyway. It reminds me of the part in Willy Wonka and the Choclate Factory when they say "i heard the golden tickets make the choclate taste bad anyway", they sure werent saying that when they won a tour of the factory! :)
- kewlkraut, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Agreed.
- MaDScientistNZ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0rejoice and purchase a fire extinguisher ? :o
- geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apparently an utterly disgusted Japan tossed all their Xbox 360's into the Pacific ocean which then all drifted to the U.S. Pacific shoreline and rounded up by Microsoft's cyborg squirrel infantry.
- mcbesq, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Of course video game sales are weak... no one has their 360 yet.
@elshaggy... I understand - paid in full in June
And for the ones one come after this post with fanboy posts, remember that the PS2 shipped defective units too. I speak from personal experience, having bought a defective launch PS2 - bruggerA, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1mcbesq is my homeboy
- mcbesq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks Brugger
...waits patiently for his 360 by playing Warriors (on the Xbox) and Shadow of Colossus (on PS2) - allthewhile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you didn't see this coming, your eyes were closed. As if the scarcity of Xbox's during the Thanksgiving rush wasn't artificial....
- sys9five, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0still not enough. my thinking is if you cant supply enough for 1 continent, dont launch it in 2 others. yes i know it didnt do too well in japan, but still...
- goduke06, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0already got one bitches
- MrMysterious, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Any idea when we are going to see a price drop? Thats the kicker for me!
- MemoryDump, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll believe it when I see/buy it! :)
- ender52, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0meh...
- xLiKx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i asked the clerk at my local best buy yesterday and he confirmed that there will be more stock at BB. it'll be out this weekend. i'll go by and see if any are available. i hope the cold weather continues so i don't see some damn campers there. they always freak me out. :P
- da_bradler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0too bad most people have already spent there x-mas money aka myself and can't just get it for myself and put from santa:(
- tyrant77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"hey maybe some of us who preordered and paid in full in August can get our consoles. Yay!"
.......WORD........ - nuclearpenguins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got three. Two for my store and 1 to give away as a prize after a Perfect Dark Zero tournament. I loves them.
- Goose241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This story is not accurate. Microsoft has said that this isn't how the shipments will be coming there is no way that a large shipment of this scale will be coming in. The Xbox 360 production started way back in August, it took them that long to come up with the 400,000 shipment that we got initially. How would Microsoft come up with 300,000 units at the drop of a hat? Microsoft has also stated that the shipments will be trickling in on planes and boats from China or whatever country they are being manufactured. There is more information on http://majornelson.com
- Loudog121, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey Goose,
My thoughts is that they were waiting on chips or processors back in August which caused a delay in manufacturing. Then when they did get the chips they can bust them out. Plus I think they are actually sending new units out every week but they get sucked up by employees or managers or they are stockpiling them for a big annoucement before christmas. Not Microsoft's fault except for that guy who thought 100,000 chipsets would be enough... lol - valkraider, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0AWESOME! Thats 900,000 more destroyed game disks by the end of the year!
- Goose241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I guess that theory makes sense that maybe they are just waiting a few parts and they can really bust them out at this point, with all of the prework already having been done. I guess it is also feasible that the factories producing them are finally up to speed and can produce them at a much fast rate than they could up until now.
- GeneHACKman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Best Buy has said, of the units they're getting on the 18th, that they are ONLY selling bundles of up to 1,500 dollars. How lame is that?
- Goose241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That isn't what Bestbuy said at all. Do you people just make this crap up or are you just stupid?
- GeneHACKman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry, Gamestop, not Best Buy.
Ah, who cares, I'm stupid I guess. Goose has forever hurt me. - bloodguard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Meh. I'll wait 6 months and pick one up for $50 at a garage sale. That's how I got my current xbox.
- nacho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Bucknasty sez: "Hate. Hate. Hate." Hopefully Sony is taking note for the PS3's.
- GeneHACKman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I know it's a pointless argument (because we know the reasons behind it), but I hate the fact that Microsoft is charging for games downloaded from XBOX Live Arcade. Most of those games are free on MSN and/or Yahoo games. You would think for a Gold subscription you wouldn't have to pay 3 or 4 bucks to download a lousy backgammon game.
- Goose241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry stupid was a strong word to use. I just get really tired of all of the people who didn't get a 360 on launch day spreading all of these crazy rumors about the 360.
- Vill4no, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"That isn't what Bestbuy said at all. Do you people just make this crap up or are you just stupid?"
http://tinypic.com/i79c04.jpg - thekak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I HEARD THEY WERE ALL DEFECTIVE AND COME WITH THE NEW SONY ROOTKIT!!! OMG!!!!
- reidypeidy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I do own a 360 and I'm not "spreading rumors" on a crappy system. The games are awful, the graphics aren't nearly what they promised, the energy bill is too high, it freezes on me, and even scratches my discs. Sorry but I'll stick with my PC and PS2.
- mcbesq, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0reidy
Which games did you buy? Which ones are scratched? What position is the unit in? Are you playing in HD? At what resolution? What was your energy bill before? - xLiKx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0oh c'mon you 360 haters, it's getting old. you don't like 360, we get it. now let people who DO care enjoy their own system of choice. and i disagree, i played plenty of their demos and they're wonderful. these are launch titles, they haven't taken advantage of the 360's full power. any gamer who follows games will know this. yeesh
- ChickenCow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just got my XBOX 360 from GameCrazy today, so w00t w00t.
- reidypeidy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0xLiKx
you're right, I'm still waiting for the "killer app" i guess. The graphics will get better, the content will be more original, and the games won't push the processor so hard to produce so much power. But until all that happens, i stand behind my belief that microsoft pushed this machine out the door before it was ready for the holidays
