Go Go Gadget mwhawhaa - davidrools, on 05/05/2008, -0/+15I wish my office would install that fiber optic sunlight piping system. these fluorescent lights are very slowly driving me insane.
- altcountryman, on 05/05/2008, -0/+5Not as slowly as you think...
- axiomflash, on 05/05/2008, -2/+23He's a more renewable idea: Stop buying stupid ***** you don't need!
- axiomflash, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2A little followup to that: http://www.storyofstuff.com
- Beatmiser, on 05/05/2008, -2/+2I really liked the solar powered Fiber Optic lights. Kind of novelty and not very practical, but then again, I guess that's largely what describes 'Gaget' these days now that things like mp3 players have moved from 'gadget' to 'everyday'.
- Shots, on 05/05/2008, -2/+3My bluetooth headset powered wirelessly by the solar charger / briefcase.

- TheDowntownKing, on 05/05/2008, -1/+68. Fridge Without Power
It is literally, simply amazing- BlackStrain, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2I wonder if it would be possible to gather the water as it evaporates and somehow feed it back in in a closed system making it work without using more water.
- bentrinh, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2You'd be feeding the heat back then.
- Black6x, on 05/05/2008, -0/+1I'm surprised that it was only #8 on the list. It's a world-changing idea, and shows a lot of ingenuity, unlike some of the other ones. I mean, how much thinking does it take to slap solar panels on the outside of something?
- BlackStrain, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2I wonder if it would be possible to gather the water as it evaporates and somehow feed it back in in a closed system making it work without using more water.
- santiago1, on 05/05/2008, -8/+1 ....***** hippies....

- XxtraLarGe, on 05/05/2008, -1/+2Capitalism will succeed in cleaning up the environment when it becomes more profitable than technologies that pollute the environment.
- atrophic, on 05/05/2008, -2/+0It's nice to see some more publicity for the power purse by Solarjo. I'm excited to see it hit the market.
- bincoder, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1A swamp cooler to keep your food coolish while at the BBQ? Ice itself hardly does the job. If I had the money, I would jump all over colemans cooler that uses a very small but very expensive sterling engine to turn a few 10s of watts into brutal cold in an extremely efficient manner.
- sackmana, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1Ummm...I guess whoever wrote this didn't think that as heavy a cooler full of ice may be, a cooler full of wet sand is a hell of a lot heavier.

I Promise its not Rick Roll - woofers07, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2The Nalgene lantern cap is definitely the coolest on the list, although I'd imagine the light in fairly minimal... still perfect for backpacking though
- altidude, on 05/05/2008, -0/+2All ten items on one page? I am impressed!
- zenithmbr, on 05/05/2008, -1/+1dugg for sexy muscley biceps
