- bioviral, on 07/02/2009, -0/+34Finally, a USB key that fits the needs of the majority.
- borez, on 07/02/2009, -0/+20Somehow I can't see this selling too well.
- Frostek, on 07/01/2009, -1/+20You opened the box...
We came... now you must go. - dazparkour, on 07/02/2009, -3/+22Now if only I could convince people at the factory to pack it with 16 GB's of goatse and lemon party it could be pandora's cube.
- Shogun213, on 07/02/2009, -1/+14I've seen enough Hellraiser movies to know this is bad.
- sparkplug890, on 07/02/2009, -0/+11pfft, I'll take Monster Cable over this any day.
- Nouman6, on 07/02/2009, -1/+10I'd rather a stack of SSD's
- Nouman6, on 07/02/2009, -1/+9$200 USD =/= $10,442 USD
- xwizard, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7Most likely the people can afforded it don't know how to use it and the people know how to use it can't afforded it!
- borez, on 07/02/2009, -0/+6That's a lot of hairy arsed old men, right there.
- 2of8, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5The article states that, after taking it apart and using the USB key, you have to put it back together. Do you really have to? Or can you just carry around the inner USB piece by itself? (thereby making all that aluminium crap simple packaging?)
- RadiatedAnt, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4Mr. Hammer, meet Mnemosyne Cube
- ipodwheels, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4This is like the "I am Rich" iPhone app. I dunno what is sad though, that someone came up with such an idea that they can make money off this, or that someone may actually buy one in the near future.
- sealink, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5FTA: "Created by Italy-based designers Toshi Satoji and Katsuya Masaki, each black cube is constructed with a unique puzzle pattern and carved from a single block of aluminum."
Italy-based? Really? - calenerd, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4I'm not gonna pay 10 grand for a major headache!
- skate3214, on 07/02/2009, -3/+6For $10,442 it should at least have more space than a standard flash drive! Ahhh, only stupidly rich people would buy these, and I emphasise the stupid part of that.
Also I'm still trying to figure out why exactly it is $10,442, I mean it's some chunks of aluminium and a 16GB flash drive basically. - vicgp3, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3from that pic, im gonna make one with legos. probably not secure, but 1000x cheaper and still nifty
- beand1p, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8 ...
- nekosxe, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3To this day I still wonder where the cube-boy is at...
- danwallace, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3***** that. I can get 2088.4 5-dollar whores for that much money.
- ElkorAlish, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Didn't open the box. And what was it last time, didn't know what the box was? And yet, we do keep finding each other, don't we?
- AlanYuri, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Do you know how many hookers and blow you could get for that much money?
- Jeepinator, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3I am confused by the usage of "afforded" in your comment.
- codered1322, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4This is the dumbest thing I have seen all week. The stupidity of it actually makes me angry.
- Louay, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3"GIVE ME THE CUBE BOY!!"
guess what that quotes from - taSkiH, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2it's the same company that sold SushiDisk.
http://www.solidalliance.com/item/sushidisk.html - 1o23r, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3What a wonderful quote. Clive Barker is genius.
- mccartyba, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2"What is your pleasure?"
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2Because that would be stupid
- InsidiusArt, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3are you retardedded
- RoboDonut, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2You could probably get twenty of these custom machined for that price.
Actually, you could buy a bunch of CNC machines, and produce a hundred for that price. - chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -0/+2There are only like 3 Clive's in the world but I thought you meant Clive Anderson from the original "Whose Line?"
I'm retarded. - Amargosa, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2If HellRaiser was re-written in the 21st century, the cube would look something like this.
- swizzcheez, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2A $10k stupidity test. What will they think of next?
- vicgp3, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2most expensive? maybe right now, but imagine the cost of 16 gigs 20 years ago.
still- i want one - forcedfx, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Commodities have been going up in price lately.
- whoreable, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2I think MC Hammer already learned his lesson about wasting money on stupid things.
- icegoddess13, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2$10K?! I can think of better things to spend that much money on...like eliminating my debt and taking a nice vacation. :)
- dazparkour, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2At least you will get use of Balmer for a while.
- dazparkour, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Maybe I forgot I wrote it! Or as my teachers said - "I'm just checking that you are paying attention".
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1So you want to buy it just to get rid of all the extra pieces and have a standard USB key?
- 7aji, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Only if it was made of gold, then I would............. still not buy it.
- Fogell, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Why not get one 10,442 dollar whore? Or 1044.2 10 dollar whores, or 208.84 50 dollar whores?
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1No, no I don't do you?
- Gustomucho, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Yes, thanks you.
- Culyt, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1What a ***** rip off.
It would be better to spend $500 on a RepRap and a usbstick (why not go for the full 128gb), reproduce the cube from these images in a 3d program and make your own. Then you also have a RepRap.
For $10,000 I would expect a TB of storage.
***** it, someone just make one I can print out and fold into origami. - cyrix, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1Uh...are you like...dissing yourself? I'm confused.
- GeorgeMedia, on 07/02/2009, -1/+0lolumad?
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+0He said he'd rather have a stack of Six Sexy Dudes.... DUH
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+0it's a work of art DUH
I mean come on people get some culture, it's hand filed and is only made on request, each one is original no two are alike and oh hell who am i kidding it's just another rip off for the shrinking number of ridiculously rich people on this planet -
