Umm, this is not a tazer. Tazers fire out electrical probes and can therefore be used at a distance.

More like a low powered stun gun.

What about Ben Franklin? He did all sorts of experiments with electricity, including trying to electrocute a turkey in front of his dinner guests. The turkey ran away, and he ended up hitting himself with the electrodes, sending the discharge of several liden jars (capacitors) through his body. I think that would definitely be the first "don't tase me, bro!" moment in history.

Has anybody mentioned yet that a Taser's primary function/design is to shock a target from a distance? Unless this person's hand can be fired from his body toward a target, an electrified glove worn by a person isn't a Taser, it's a stun gun.

I mean, I know it was just a fiction book, but then again this device isn't a real TASER anyway because it isn't a rifle, it's a glove. It has about as much right to be called a TASER as a cattle prod does.
