- alllo, on 05/07/2008, -3/+38Unlikely! But actually it would be cool to DIGG without keybords and mouses :)

- Simonft, on 05/07/2008, -1/+12Get a shovel.
- Dumbledorito, on 05/07/2008, -0/+7If by "DIGG" you mean "dive into gigs of pr0n," then, yeah.
- synystar, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3Wouldn't that be DIGP?
- stopbrorape, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3no more switching hands!

- cutekelvins, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3In Soviet Russia, Computer operates you by power of your thoughts.
- TeCuervo, on 05/07/2008, -2/+7The irony. I am using Firefox right now.
- DaffyDuck, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2How is that irony?
- phoomp, on 05/07/2008, -0/+6I suspect many Diggers are too young to get references to that movie.
- Dustmuffins, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3I'm 19, and I still Clint Eastwood is the man.
- Tenoq, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Perhaps it's a bit obscure for the young Diggers, but I saw the title and I'm like: "Someone HAS to mention 'Firefox'".
- Buu700, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Please explain for those of us who don't get the reference. Thank you.
- unreg, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5Clint Eastwood portrayed a pilot who infiltrated a Russian airbase and stole their top secret prototype fighter, code named Firefox. Mind control was used to operate some of the aircraft systems, primarily the weapons and countermeasures.
Clint had to keep reminding himself to "Think Russian"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefox_%28film%29 - Buu700, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1cool thanks.
- dacheetah, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Care to elaborate for us young'ns?
- phil2490, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Firefox was an amazing action movie from the 80's starring Clint Eastwood
- unreg, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2Think Russian
- sk11, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Think how bad it would be if you're giving a presentation to clients and you suddenly think of pron.
- cageybee, on 05/07/2008, -4/+2just digg??
- cashman57, on 05/07/2008, -1/+40This could be a big breakthrough for quadriplegics to help them communicate and contribute to the world around them
- ravithepimp, on 05/07/2008, -0/+7I think thats what the article said
- sesstreets, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Also porn.
- Dimanoff, on 05/07/2008, -8/+17Well, some Russians still use Windows 98. I guess in this case the power of thought cannot be used at all. LOL
- geneticlone, on 05/07/2008, -6/+6Isn't it still the most stable Operating System Microsoft released?
- Dotcommer, on 05/07/2008, -1/+7No. Xp is.
- SibTiger, on 05/07/2008, -4/+0I bet the percentage of Americans using Windows 98 is higher. Piracy has put XP on nearly every computer.
- adrenaline33, on 05/07/2008, -0/+5That makes absolutely no sense
- Blandyman, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2I think he should've said "I bet the percentage of Americans who BOUGHT Windows 98 is higher."
- adrenaline33, on 05/07/2008, -0/+5That makes absolutely no sense
- NightVortez, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I know this was a joke but I was in Russia a couple of months ago and most computers (at universities and such) are either on (pirated) XP or Fedora Core 4.
Pirated XP discs used to be sold all over the place before they started cracking down.
- geneticlone, on 05/07/2008, -6/+6Isn't it still the most stable Operating System Microsoft released?
- bringmeupmusic, on 05/07/2008, -7/+53This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.
- jawdog, on 05/07/2008, -0/+17Do you think that's air you're breathing now? You think Russia lost the cold war?.....
- MotoFly, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3You ever read something, whether it be someone discussing a Rick Roll or even a quote from the matrix, and just cringe at the nerdiness of it?
- keithburgun, on 05/07/2008, -4/+2LAME
- zohaibusman, on 05/07/2008, -6/+3amazing........
- mikkee07, on 05/07/2008, -3/+5Sounds great. Hope the technology will become available in the near feature.
- supras, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I saw a high-schooler make a gimped version of this. Its well-developed.
- xMedic, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1We're talking pravda.ru, people..
It's the new Onion, minus the funny part. Like that "Boriska, boy from Mars" article? Yeah.
- AlwaysAwake, on 05/07/2008, -8/+4It's already been done. By monkeys no less. What's the big deal here ?
- gsxrjason, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1It's true, this has been done on monkeys. I've seen videos.
- JosephPinto, on 05/07/2008, -12/+8Russians are good at Science. There was a time when russia had Rockets which could reach any part of the world. But,after the economic failure in 1990,Russia had some problems.
Now,it is back .With a strong Economy and its unique Inventions.- cageybee, on 05/07/2008, -3/+10US was lucky in many ways for the conservatism of the Soviets. Now, another nation hungry for resources emerges in the world - the biggest country on earth - Mother Russia. What's even worse for US is that Russia this time has China, Iran, Venezuela, and others on its side. Japan is also wants to be more friendly with Russia. Russian Empire will soon become a world empire.
- CTK14A, on 05/07/2008, -2/+11Yeah yeah, biggest shmiggest. How much of that is permafrost?
- BabyWookie, on 05/07/2008, -2/+12The Global Warming is going to take care of that. :)
- Dumbledorito, on 05/07/2008, -2/+10How much of that is oil?
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -9/+3Who diggs this *****?
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -3/+7First of all, Iran and Venezuela could be taken out with one man if need be. Second of all, The US has India which is almost as populated as China (plus dozens of other allies). So it would basically come down to a somewhat equal amount of soldiers and our superior technology (most likely derived from aliens). I threw the alien part in for you cageybee.
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3And I wouldn't count on China being stupid. I think they could go either way.
- cutekelvins, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1US might have India on their side but only against China. Given that Russia saved/helped India many times even against China, US, Pakistan during cold war, I do not see any reason that they would go against Russia. Making new enemies for the sake of a friend is a very costly affair.
- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -1/+3The are one of our biggest allies.
- todorov84, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1Yes, Jack Bauer could do that single-handed.
- masterm1nd, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Only takes one man to push a button
- BabyWookie, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1The US doesn't "have" India, actually. India and Russia have been very good allies for a long, long time. They are the biggest Russian weapons buyer out there too.
- cutekelvins, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Unlike US, Russia and now China, India never had any plans to be the most dominant country in the world. India and Russia have been good allies because there were enemies against her like China, Pakistan and US during cold war.
- JulyZerg, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1"Superior technology"
Not for long, most likely. How can you possibly consider yourselves a scientific nation when your government rejects science?- masterm1nd, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1You could look at our technology and not our government?
- JulyZerg, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Do you really think you're still going to get the latest imports from the rest of the world if you start bombing people?
- masterm1nd, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1If you're in a world war I don't think that would be very important.
- JulyZerg, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Glad you don't value your technology. You do know that that means your game consoles, TV, computer, internet, etc.?
But hey, if your country's at war, technology doesn't matter! - masterm1nd, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Now you're not even making sense. I don't think our tv's, internet, and computers would disappear the instant a world war breaks out.
BTW ironically, where do you think the first TV, first computer, first game console, AND first internet were developed.? Hint, it starts with a U and endS with an A.
In the USA (just in case)
Thank you for proving my point. - JulyZerg, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1Yeah - the FIRST ones were. That's my point!
- masterm1nd, on 05/08/2008, -1/+1We're still the first ones developing many new technologies. I don't see how being the first to develop television translates into today we're incapable of making TV's. Hint, we're still ahead of the curve.
USA - ahead of the world in technology. That's my point.
- Slick37c, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1They don't reject anything that will kill people efficiently.
- maninalift, on 05/07/2008, -2/+5WTF are you all going on about? Russia "has China, Iran, Venezuela, and others on its side"? "The US has India"?
Does this reflect the level of understanding of international politics in America? Or just the geeks on Digg?- masterm1nd, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2It's hard not to sound crazy when you're in a crazy discussion. Anyways world war is inevitable and the people at the top have elaborated such scenarios hundreds of times over.
- CTK14A, on 05/07/2008, -2/+11Yeah yeah, biggest shmiggest. How much of that is permafrost?
- dafunkmonster, on 05/07/2008, -2/+1Please, hook me up with your dealer.
- DaffyDuck, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2"Now,it is back .With a strong Economy and its unique Inventions."
Please spare me. This article suggests that they are only at the stage of talking about creating a prototype. There was already a working prototype at least 2 years ago in the US. http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.03/brain.htm ...
- cageybee, on 05/07/2008, -3/+10US was lucky in many ways for the conservatism of the Soviets. - necroprancer, on 05/07/2008, -1/+30'Read also: US scientists unveil NASA’s secrets about cities on the Moon.' Perhaps a better source is in order.
- Spartycus, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3Thank you! As hopeful as I am that there are better ways to interact with our new digital medium, I'd like to see a source that isnt a Russian tabloid.
- tehbored, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1Or an English tabloid. The Daily Mail is way too popular on Digg.
- Spartycus, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3Thank you! As hopeful as I am that there are better ways to interact with our new digital medium, I'd like to see a source that isnt a Russian tabloid.
- mCanada, on 05/07/2008, -2/+3Big deal. I'm doing it right nooooowwww..
- toxicityj, on 05/07/2008, -11/+9waaait you're not allowed to think in Russia.

- NATED066, on 05/07/2008, -10/+3"In Soviet Russia, COMPUTER controls YOUR thought"
... Wait... what??- Heaiser, on 05/07/2008, -3/+2Sadly, I knew someone was going to make this damn joke as soon as I saw the story.
- ExRe, on 05/07/2008, -1/+8Wow, that was *****.
At least you could make a half assed attempt with "In Soviet Russia, computer controls you!". Have you ever done this before?
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/07/2008, -0/+28Firefox, anyone?
No, NOT the web browser.- MisterFreeze, on 05/07/2008, -0/+29You have to think in Russian.

- h4ppydotcom, on 05/07/2008, -1/+7I can't believe the Matrix reference came before the Firefox one. I guess most Diggers are too young to remember Clint's acting days.
- punkcat, on 05/07/2008, -0/+3i believe that entire film should be deleted up to the point he actually gets in the plane.
- koick, on 05/07/2008, -0/+2That's why god invented chapter selection. (True enough, it really is only about a 14 minute film)
- pencilneck, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1damn, you guys beat me to all the references.
- MisterFreeze, on 05/07/2008, -0/+29You have to think in Russian.

- macweirdo42, on 05/07/2008, -1/+12I have a feeling this has the potential to be HUGE. Why? Well, as we all know, porn drives technology, and this could be the biggest revolution for the porn industry since the Internet - technology that allows for hands-free porn browsing!
- pixeldust, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Until you accidently think about your mom.
- NightVortez, on 05/07/2008, -0/+8If you think about your mom while browsing through porn that's no accident.
- getbusylivin, on 05/07/2008, -0/+2Now if we could find a way to create hands-free masturbation. I've heard about something called a girlfriend, but they seem to be very hard to acquire.
- pixeldust, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Until you accidently think about your mom.

- MattNF, on 05/07/2008, -5/+1I thought they had this stuff already. I saw a documentary about it on the History Channel once... people who were paralyzed were able to do things like play Solitaire and use the internet using their mind.
Buried as old. - jabberwolf, on 05/07/2008, -0/+2Wait what if there is a power surge!?
- nyx210, on 05/07/2008, -1/+1Then you die.

- stix213, on 05/07/2008, -2/+11Pretty cool stuff, but using Pravda as a source for anything is just a bad idea.
- johnomaz, on 05/07/2008, -8/+2haha, imagine having that hooked up in a power plant. Some how woman walks by and the guy wearing it things "damn, hot". then the plant overheats and blows up.
- elDud3rino, on 05/07/2008, -0/+6I refuse to imagine such idiocy.
- alexlobov, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0haha, imagine! ha. ha. !!

- bincoder, on 05/07/2008, -0/+7I can work my computer and pay attention to a Tv show at once. Concentrating to move the mouse would be very distracting.
