LEGO Futurama Fan Set Makes Official Line a Must
gizmodo.com — For those of you who run on beer, tell people to kiss your shiny metal ass, and think there's nothing better than LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Space, here's LEGO Futurama. As you will see in the 24-photo gallery after the jump, the Planet Express headquarters features custom detailed minifigs of the main characters

- yokozuka, on 03/24/2008, -5/+11LEGO should do special limited runs of these things. I bet they would be able to sell all the production at a very high price, since most Futurama fans strike me as LEGO fans. However, the custom printed minifigs are way too expensive to produce. That's why they had to provide decals with the new LEGO Space fan-designed test. I would be glad to apply decals as soon as I could have my own Bender minifig.

- mcgruff000, on 03/24/2008, -0/+1What else would it be?A telephone booth? pff amteur
- ishotthedoor, on 03/24/2008, -0/+7What are you talking about? The angry dome is obviously missing. It would be awesome if it was included though.
- antich, on 03/24/2008, -0/+4I don't see the angry dome in any of those pictures.

Kinda looks like Conan O'Brien...who oddly enough, also played himself on Futurama in '99.- moskaudancer, on 03/24/2008, -0/+6"I may have lost my freakishly long legs in the War of 2012, but I still have something you'll never have! A soul!"

- umbriago, on 03/24/2008, -27/+2Well, that's pretty cool, if you're nine years old.
- Fatcheeseguy, on 03/24/2008, -0/+10Working wayyyy more fun than playing with Lego right?
- santaliqueur, on 03/24/2008, -0/+3Go watch Family Guy.
- Yarns87, on 03/24/2008, -1/+4I am flickr friends with the guy who made this (Pepa Quin). I saw all the WIP pics. Pretty neat stuff. It is the same guy who had his actual minifig-scale Millennium Falcon design stolen by lego and then sold for $300 a pop. So maybe there is a chance for production. I sure hope so. Flickr set:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/pepa_quin/- carterbaldwin, on 03/24/2008, -3/+3Hey Yarns! And I'm pretty sure that Lego has A) not stolen Pepa's version of the MF, and B) never sold a MF for $300. A lot of people had built minifig-scale Falcons before Lego started producing them.
- Eccohawk, on 03/24/2008, -0/+2well, there's A) plenty of evidence to support the theory, as the link below shows, and B) you're right, it was $500 dollars, not 300. can't speak as to the # of minifig scale falcons around before the 'official' one though...

- odessadark, on 03/24/2008, -23/+0Buried for implying that a TV show that is released directly to DVD means LEGO should build model sets for it. Ease back on the fanboi throttle, realize it's a niche program, and try and live without Futurama, Battlestar Galactica, Jericho, and Ron Paul LEGO figures.

- JohnsonGotOwned, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Please please PLEASE Lego, turn this into a set...
- rsm5068, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1freaking sweet.
- binaryloop, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Dugg down for saying "after the jump". New rule: anyone who says this --who is not competing in the long-jump event-- needs to be strung up and beaten with a stick. Especially if it relates to a blog or web site. It's over. That expression is so 2006 that it sickens me. Stop it already!
- jasonsalas, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2the thing that constantly trips me out about Lego sets (while admittedly completely rad) is that they leave so little to the imagination in terms of letting people build stuff. sometimes the pieces don't even serve more than a single function. forgive me for being old school. :-)
- secondwheel2, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1dugg up for the suicide booth
