if you understand this then good for you - RoboDonut, on 06/10/2009, -0/+10I saw this a few times a few years ago, then never heard anything about it again. I thought he probably quit or something, but it looks like I was wrong. It's still completely awesome.
- isayre020888, on 06/11/2009, -0/+7Get this guy in touch with the people building the life size Gundam statue in Japan stat!!!
- teamtom, on 06/10/2009, -0/+4It only weighs a ton? Very impressive.
- Amadeus2490, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Mecha lecca hi mecca heiney ho.
- javy925, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3I don't know why you're getting dugg down, megas xlr was badass. I miss that show :(
- KingGorilla, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Go Team Venture!
- Balanced, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Only by a tiny bit, though. 40 foot tall walking mecha are hard to justify, as they're giant targets, would need massive feet to distribute ground pressure, recoil is a pain and a half, and they are pretty complex to engineer over, say, a tank.
- HamstaMan, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Looks like the transformer a russian Lada would turn into.
- Hraes, on 06/11/2009, -0/+3Well, he's no Tony Stark.
- bubbameister33, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2That looks like a giant H.E.L.P.eR.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.E.L.P.eR. - thedarkrabbit, on 06/11/2009, -1/+3Dude, I so thought it said "Homemade Mecca" and was REALLY curious....
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2Video???
- Raptor007, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2Just slap some PPCs and LRMs on that baby and we are set!
(The BattleTech universe is way more practical than the "beat eachother up in space" combat of most mecha anime.) - spyderbc, on 06/11/2009, -1/+3Soon... Very soon...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroactive_polymer ... - teemingvoid, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2He should make it several times heavier so it would actually have a chance battling cars
- danieldejesus, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2It would be way more awesome if it was five robot lions that combined into one badass robot. Just saying.
- inactive, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1"This 18-foot-tall, one-ton prototype is his second stab at the project, the first being made of wood..."
What, the first one burn down or chopped up to make doll houses? - pat25fire, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Reminds me of Liberty Prime
- Padijun, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1He's hoping to redeem Wasilla from the shame inflicted by Auntie Sarah
- drmobutu, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1Is this the same guy, in Alaska, from a couple of years ago? Looks like his robots are evolving...

The main article is dead but the comments have some links that still work. - fluidfoundation, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1That think looks like it would get it's ass kicked in by a RobotJOX.
- BobSutan, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1It's amazing what home inventors can come up with. Imagine if Lockheed or Northrop or Boeing put their full R&D support into such a concept! I'd imagine ejection systems, missiles, autocannons, and perhaps a gauss rifle at some point in the future ;)
- KingGorilla, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1H.E.L.P.eR.? Iron Man? Big-O? A Gundam? Nay, this is the Iron Giant!
- burntcookie90, on 06/11/2009, -1/+1so starts gundam.
- Cockslap, on 06/11/2009, -3/+2So ronrey.
- cawpin, on 06/10/2009, -4/+1Yeah, it was on here several years ago. Buried.
