- zombiedictator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2These stories take up a huge percentage of the front page. I was on another forum last night talking about the Chris Benoit double murder/suicide which wasn't on Digg's front page yet, but we already had 3 iPhone articles.
It's a cool device, albeit a little dated ($600 and a 2MP camera? Wtf? No GPS? Come on.). I don't have a problem with the interest it is generating, even though it is insane, but we can't filter it out and every piece of iPhone news gets automatic front page status. You tell us to "just skip over it and go onto the next story", but the next story is about the iPhone, and so is the one after that.
It's a Goddamn phone and it's more newsworthy here than if Bush ordered the executions of every registered democrat in the country. Either let us filter it out or we'll continue bitching about this rabid fanboyism over a stupid phone. - Namco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dugg down for being in wrong category.

Is it seriously that much of an inconvenience to glance past the headline and on to the next story? That's what I and most others do with the 90% of the stories that aren't interesting to us personally. This is the Internet. 99.9999999% is not going to be interesting to you personally. Deal with it. The rest of us that are excited about a smartphone that doesn't suck ass want to read this stuff.

The iphone isnt really new technology its just more available now.
