- dood, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1Practical considerations such as "availability" and "possibility" have little influence on Popular Mechanics writing.
- altrego99, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Dugg after I read the first entry.
On a separate note I think we should start referring to time using 'stardates' now. - themastersb, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3Stupid page tried to print automatically.
- bradleyland, on 12/12/2007, -1/+1That's because the submitter was kind enough to submit the print version of the page, instead (next page) of (next page) the (next page) retardo (next page) version.
- Tenoq, on 12/13/2007, -0/+3On the downside....
it tried to print automatically. :p

- Tenoq, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1Dugg for Clear-pixel Cameras.
Finally we might have some P&S digital cameras that can actually do low light.
- johlorax, on 12/12/2007, -3/+5As sexy as some of these gadgets are, my money's on the pay-per glance ads. A product that helps marketers do their job better, if it works - THAT's a game changer.
- drakenlot, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2That sounds a little too Big Brotherish for me. Soon they'll figure out how to recognize when you think of a product.
- laelfrog, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1<BLINK>WOW -- Look at me!!! </BLINK>
Lets hope we can learn
- laelfrog, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1<BLINK>WOW -- Look at me!!! </BLINK>

- rtknox00, on 12/12/2007, -0/+11brainwave based games are long overdue
- JediPrime, on 12/12/2007, -0/+5One step closer to the Matrix.
- directive0, on 12/12/2007, -0/+12"You mean you have to use your hands?"
"That's like a baby's toy!"
-BTTF 2 - SleepingOrange, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2I'm super excited about brainwave games... crysis 2 w/ brainwave 2000 support..
Oh yea, I'm there. With my virtual reality sunglasses. - surKaz, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0I give the first working prototype...mid 2008.. But when it becomes consumer accessible products.. At least mid 2009... When will people stop overestimating the speed of technology.. yes its fast.. but we'd be in a Deathstar by now ..
- Lust4Me, on 12/12/2007, -7/+43You linked the printer-friendly version, which spawns the print pop-up :(
- Enept, on 12/12/2007, -0/+32Considering the article was done in the ever-so-annoying one page per list item format, I think closing the pop-up's a small price to pay for single page viewing.
- Tripacer, on 12/12/2007, -7/+86Damnit, I DONT WANT TO PRINT THE DAMN PAGE
- r00tus3r, on 12/12/2007, -2/+7*phew ... I thought I was fukt! That was NOT cool. I'm at work damnit!
- Nextrix, on 12/12/2007, -0/+10Hey at least the advertisements were removed.
- chedabob, on 12/12/2007, -0/+6If you have Noscript installed, they can't spawn the print dialog
- dion3537, on 12/12/2007, -4/+2Pretty cool stuff, although I'm sure that brain-reading controllers won't be for a loooong time, if ever.
Should have linked it to a non-printing page, as well. - Calculon, on 12/12/2007, -2/+4I'm gonna wait for Nano Cancer Therapy 2. I heard the first one has a bug that gives you cancer.
- Jonaas, on 12/12/2007, -8/+11buried for assuming i want to print your drivel
- crash331, on 12/12/2007, -1/+18It's so you don't have to press "NEXT>>>>>>" 15 times.
- imightbewrong, on 12/12/2007, -1/+35lol i though it meant video game technology
- drakenlot, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1That was my first thought too.
But then I thought, what new tech is coming out next year that is gaming orientated - davidrools, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1and then the first item seemed to confirm that thought
- drakenlot, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1That was my first thought too.
- cavie2002, on 12/12/2007, -1/+7bunch of bs, a long time ago they said wed have elevators to the moon by 2005, well its 2 years past im still waiting for my elevator
- AshamedAmerican, on 12/12/2007, -0/+3pfff that first one is clearly one of Brainiac's mind controlling devices, and I'm not falling for that again.
- noahhoward, on 12/12/2007, -2/+4Christ, self-aware bots? Some people have to ruin everything don't they? How much longer until we can no longer use the internet?
- VictoryGin, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2"10 Game-Changing Technologies coming in '18 [maybe]" ... there, fixed
- surKaz, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0Agreed.
- miniSlon, on 12/12/2007, -1/+1with such technologies - no cheats will be usefull :)
- yowhat2002, on 12/12/2007, -0/+5Wayhey we're only a couple of years away from ipods that beam porn directly into our brains!
- Pxtl, on 12/12/2007, -2/+1FTFA: That means each pixel is ignoring two-thirds of the incoming light.
Umm, last time I worked with camera programming, they used 2 green pixels and 1 red and 1 blue. I'm pretty sure that this article is full of it on this one. - flareback, on 12/12/2007, -0/+0most of those won't be coming to market anytime soon
- nirav72, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1Yup..I agree. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you'll see a link for last year's predictions. Most of those never came to market.
- wordfan, on 12/12/2007, -0/+1A good portion of that list will be on similar lists ten years from now. They've been talking about nano-therapy and brainwave-controlled electronics for a long time now. Some of the other items, like better camera technology and circuitry, are inevitable, whether they come via the exact route the article talks about or not.
- zekemorgan, on 12/12/2007, -0/+0I agree but with the Wii technology in high demand, there will definitely be some modifications to future gaming systems.
- NasKa, on 12/12/2007, -1/+2I will take one page article with print that without it on 15 pages. Thanks dude.
- toasterweasel, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2Look at last years list. Then you will know it's probably a good bet not to look for any of this outside of research labs anytime soon.
- cosmotic, on 12/13/2007, -1/+1Thanks for linking to the print page that throws up a print window using javascript.
- johlorax, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0no problem - I know how much people love waiting for 10 separate pages to load
- bradmoreland, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0Go choke on a bag of dicks, you moron.
- johlorax, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0no problem - I know how much people love waiting for 10 separate pages to load
- PueSi, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1The camera sensor thing sounds great, it doesn't look too complicated maybe this will actually be used soon.
I'm still waiting for my flying car though. - TwwIX, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1What?No Time Travel next year!?
Damn it!They keep delaying it. - mikedeezy33, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0Linking to the print page, novel, I like that. Much better than dealing with those damn galleries that auto cycle through the pages
- Av3nger, on 12/13/2007, -0/+1The stuff was cool... the first one was really the only one directly related to games though... wtf?
- qwixstuh, on 12/13/2007, -0/+0"self-defending bots" = Terminator
- adison, on 01/29/2008, -0/+0Is this right? It seems like cancer related to cell phones is becoming more and more serious. Are we flirting further using technology in these ways?
