- RSTaichi, on 09/30/2008, -3/+70who cares? pot could hardly be considered performance enhancing.
- infodoc1, on 09/30/2008, -2/+60Just sedate yourself into a stupor with alcohol... it's might be more harmful than using weed, but surely our government knows what's best for us!
- jfdolier, on 10/01/2008, -6/+51Am I the only one who thought this was an Onion article when I read the title?
- leodavinci, on 10/01/2008, -1/+37Marijuana should be legalized, not that it would make a difference for Ricky since I think it is in his contract not to do anything that could potentially hurt his body.
Why are people so afraid of legalizing marijuana? It is such a ***** joke, people are so uninformed... - joker10687, on 10/01/2008, -1/+35I heard he also looked at a cheerleader and found her physically attractive.
- fenix61, on 10/01/2008, -3/+28Why is T.O in the preview?

//legalize it already dammit. - lolmax, on 10/01/2008, -0/+12You've obviously never played mariokart stoned out of your mind. In the zone, man
- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -1/+13So long as he is doing it in a responsible manner, why should anybody care?
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/01/2008, -2/+12"Either obey all or expect none."
This is a horrible mentality. America was founded on civil disobedience. If you don't disregard bad laws you validate them. If the founding fathers had just paid their unfair taxes instead of throwing boat loads of tea into Boston harbor simply because "it's the law" where would we be today?
And the law is not a static entity that must be obeyed entirely or entirely discarded. There is no such dichotomy. The law changes every single day, and it is meant to. That one law is not worth following does not make them all invalid. - thegamingguy, on 10/01/2008, -0/+9Abba Zabba you're my only friend.

- FMSfreebies, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7why the heck do people make such a big deal about weed? jeez. He's an athlete so yeah i guess he shouldn't be smoking but that should be his personal choice. its not going to help his game, if anything it would hurt it... its not like he's gaining an advantage by smoking da herb.
- sstephenson, on 10/01/2008, -2/+8I smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night. I smoke two joints on my bye week, it makes me feel alright.
- Locke23, on 10/01/2008, -0/+5He's gonna smoke so much pot when he retires... Just imagine how much he'll be able to buy with all the money he's making.
- mattlohkamp, on 10/01/2008, -1/+5Civil disobedience is refusal to obey an unjust law - and marijuana is unjustly outlawed. The proper channels aren't working, obviously - Rosa Parks didn't form a committee and collect signatures, she simply stopped obeying the law. And it worked.
And don't even start with some 'pot is different from race' ***** - an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. This is important stuff. - DiggzDE, on 10/01/2008, -1/+5Sornos, the whole point of the legal process is to question and challenge it with legal action. Just because something is a law doesn't mean it is constitutional. Many laws have been redacted or completely removed because they were found to be unconstitutional. I think anyone with the mindset of legalize it has the right to think so and attempt to do so through the legal process.
If you just follow the law in a sheep like state, you are going to be owned by everyone and their mother as they walk all over you.
Take this as advice from someone in the Legal sector. Don't just assume you have to follow the law, do something about it to make the law work to your advantage and your wants. It is why the legal process exists. And of course, you will need representation....
Have I given you my business card yet? lol - SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/01/2008, -1/+5"because the government can't tax it."
This is the most repeated myth leveled against marijiauna law reform. The government could tax it just as sure as they can tax tobacco and alcohol. Yes, pot is a weed, but there is a lot of work involved in producing decent buds. Given the choice, most people would rather drive down to the gas station and save themselves the trouble if they could. After all, how many people do you know who grow their own tobacco or tomatoes? It's the same thing. - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -2/+6This article is just ***** amazing.
- samyoungguitar, on 10/01/2008, -3/+7Stock market crash. Fighting 2 wars. Dude 'almost' smoked pot. WHO ***** CARES! Give me more CARIBOU BARBIE!!
- Dalhectar, on 10/01/2008, -1/+5Sornos would have opposed the Boston Tea Party, and the Birmingham civil rights sit-ins.
- hurtmetomysoul, on 10/01/2008, -1/+5leave Ricky alone!
- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3Guys, he just trying to defend his mindless position so he isn't proven to be 100% wrong on his poorly thought out philosophy.
Sornos... have you ever heard of norml? Go check it out, they are "going through the legal channel". I recommend you read up on civil disobedience.
If you smoke cannabis in a peaceful and responsible way, you are civilly disobeying. - SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/01/2008, -2/+5Right, but RSTaichi's comment was about how stupid all of that is.
- SnowFire, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3*Lights up a really big joint*
- Kruez, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3....or greatly enhanced it!
- sk1m781, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3The cool thing about this article more than anything is finally we see some athletes telling the truth even when it's controversial instead of just mumbling coachspeek all the time and acting like a robot
- sodade, on 10/01/2008, -1/+4""Marijuana does dull reaction times and slow response."
Citation? (and any study that uses the word "joint" as a measurement of qty smoked, that fails to identify Indica vs. Sativa, or that doesn't identify crystal maturity when harvested has failed to be scientific) - skav, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3Hey, don't diss sedating yourself into a stupor with alcohol!
- Singulariter, on 10/01/2008, -3/+6How is this news?
- nickrct, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3First of all to understand what happened to killer, you gotta understand who killer the dog was. Now killer was born to a three-legged bitch of a mother. He was always ashamed of this, man. And then right after that he's adopted by this man, Tito Liebowitz he's a small time gun runner and a rotweiler fight promoter. So he puts killer into training. They see killer's good. He is damn good. But then he had the fight of his life. They pit him against his brother nibbles. And killer said "no man that's my brother, I can't fight nibbles" but they made him fight anyway, and killer, he killed nibbles. Killer said "that's it!" he called off all his fights, and he started doing crack, and he freaked out. Then in a rage, he collapsed, and his heart no longer beat. wow.
- Signa91, on 10/01/2008, -0/+3wtf is that?
- TsuruchiBrian, on 10/01/2008, -1/+3We should also make alcohol illegal. Also nicotine and caffeine are bad for you too. It would really be in everyone's best interest if nobody was allowed to eat at McDonalds. We should probably make the speed limit like 10 mph that way less people will be killed in car accidents. This is America we can do better than this.
Land of the Safe and Home of the Pussies. - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2You'd think for the millions he makes he could buy someone else's piss.
- ATLien74, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2The Prohibition of Marjuana Laws aint got ***** to do with his Contract.
- lolmax, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2after seeing your icon and username I'm pretty sure my comment was written exactly for you.....ahh the world works in mysterious ways

- zephyrnug, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Hell-*****-yeah!
- H4adF1sh, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2its a stupid rule. marijuana isnt harmful to anyone, and it obviously isnt performance enhancing. if NFL players are allowed to drink in their off time, they should be allowed to smoke as well.
- lolmax, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2pussy
- fokov, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2Alcohol isn't the enemy so stop trying to make it one. These professionals abuse the worst of the prescription drugs to block pain. That should be the real concern. As long as they are doing their job they get extreme pain killers and get hooked on them.
Now if someone wants a joint give it too them, but it isn't going to kill their kidney like all of the other poison doctors give them and say its healthy so they will play the game at 100%.
Comparing it to alcohol will just make these MADD bitches want to try prohibition again. ***** stupid women. - ncraig, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2what a joke
