- defaultfilter, on 11/20/2008, -2/+77Little known fact: 75% of all bacon submissions on Digg comes from Amy.
- josepablos, on 11/20/2008, -2/+67Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal. - AmyVernon, on 11/20/2008, -6/+44Wow. But bacon is REALLY tasty.

http://www.baconsalt.com/ - Fatcheeseguy, on 11/20/2008, -1/+18I forget which episode it is but Homer has a dream in some far away land with a talking pig. He is supposed to go up this hill or something but before that he sees this talking pig. He is about to go up the hill then realizes something; he walks up to the pig tears off a piece of skin which is bacon and eats it. The pig says, "that's the spirit!"
- FastZ, on 11/20/2008, -1/+16Thank you Amy.
- DraganDragan, on 11/20/2008, -2/+15My bacon brings all the boys to the yard,
And their like
It's better than yours,
Damn right it's better than yours,
I can serve you,
But I have to die - DeathRay2K, on 11/20/2008, -3/+15netneutrality, whoever told you torture of farm animals was legal was lying to you, probably to make you protest it. The fact is, most animals on farms are treated pretty well, it's just the few that aren't that are used to scare people into veganism.
- AmyVernon, on 11/20/2008, -6/+17MAYbe.
- zwendkos, on 11/20/2008, -2/+131. Find picture that somehow, someway is related to BACON.

- FitteMas, on 11/20/2008, -3/+9Dude, you know, we could totally eat that pig. Im serious man, that pig could be in our stomachs in like five minutes. And then, and then we could do other stuff. - President Clinton
- DeathRay2K, on 11/20/2008, -6/+12PETA, is that you?
Also, that pig looks delicious, it's clearly just about ready for eating! - Jack8274, on 11/20/2008, -9/+15I have no value for human life either, so I don't give a *****.
- Supermunch, on 11/20/2008, -3/+8Yummy.
Oh wait, was that supposed to shock me into becoming a vegetarian? - AmyVernon, on 11/20/2008, -2/+7excellent.
- sadisticmind, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5I hate PETA but care for animals
***** you PETA - CyberStriker, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5The minority of meat factories/farms that abuse animals does NOT equal the majority that treat the animals fair.
This video is typical PETA propaganda. They take video footage from some obscure, rare, isolated incident involving animal abuse, and claim that EVERY factory does it. Typical ***** brainwashing scare-tactics.
Buried. Look beyond the crap that PETA shovels out. - RaulMuadDib, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5I hope
- fieldhockey44, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5Digg needs a bacon section so that I can block it.
- Barnolde, on 11/20/2008, -1/+5Pigs are cool. They're smarter than dogs (it's true, look it up), but they taste good, so I will continue to eat them. Sorry vegetarians.
- dfross, on 11/20/2008, -4/+8No, that is not what HAS to happen "pre-bacon".
The idea that animals HAVE to suffer during life to be consumed, is one of the greatest fallacies and scare tactics used by fringe lunatics. An animal can lead a happy and free life before being slaughtered humanely and painlessly. Just as it could be kept in horrible conditions, pumped with chemicals and then killed ruthlessly or slowly.
It's up to consumers to decide, with their purchases, what happens to animals during their life. You can buy produce from a local farm that gives animals a great quality of life, which you can even observe, if you want. Or you can buy the ultra cheap, battery-farmed, hormone-pumped, inhumanely slaughtered ones. Sure, the former is more expensive, but you can guarantee a decent life for the animals. But if you do care about animal welfare,
it would be better to not eat meat than support the latter.
Be concerned about the provenance of your food. Make sure you don't eat animals that were mistreated, from battery farmed chicken eggs, to cheap meat such as that typically used by fast food restaurants. Think free range, animal welfare.
It's possible to be an ethical omnivore (well, unless you're opposed to the idea of eating animals full stop, in which case you're stuck!), and support only those who produce animal products in an ethical manner. And treat the scaremongering of loonies like PETA with equal disdain, it's not black and white. - inactive, on 11/20/2008, -6/+10Why would they need to walk if they are just going to end up in my belly?
- havokdu, on 11/20/2008, -9/+13***** PETA
- radiatednoodle, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3King Size Homer
- gooch3803, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4OMG your ass is going to taste so good.
- jp2535, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4Nom Nom Nom

- Zippo, on 11/20/2008, -2/+5Mmmmm, bacon.
- skoles, on 11/20/2008, -2/+5It's a snapshot of a pig, with a ***** border.
Why is this on the front page? - UltX, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3Maybe some bacon would cheer him up.
- Slackdragon, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3You can alter you digg. Once clicked, it's not set in stone anymore.
- Trollbane, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3It's from the ep wher he becomes morbidly obese in order to work from home. The pig is helping him to reach 300 pounds
- 1310nm, on 11/20/2008, -3/+6You mean the best decision your friends made for you?
- kthxbai85, on 11/20/2008, -1/+4Seeing a picture of a live pig shouldn't shock you into becoming a vegetarian, if seeing a whole pig, head and all, being grilled, didn't shock me into being a vegetarian. Not even after one of my friends went over and stuck his finger in the pig's mouth and pulled on it's tongue...and those eyes were staring at me.
- eastcoastjoe, on 11/20/2008, -2/+5digg's fascination with bacon pleases me.
