Biting straight into a lemon was just wonderful, oranges were like candy, the tomato sauce in pizza was sweeter...
I took some to 6-7 people and we all had fun playing with the chemistry of our taste buds for the evening... followed by beer pong.

- fr4ncium, on 04/27/2008, -1/+28I picked up some of this stuff while I was doing an internship in Japan last summer - a diabetic friend told me about them. It worked really well for me, although some of my friends didn't get as much of an effect. Here are things I have tried so far.
-lemons (goes to lemonade)
-lime (limeade)
-grapefruit (no longer had a flavor)
-jalepeno juice (tasted a bit sweeter)
-apple cider vinegar (risky, but tastes like apple cider if you use the tablet right)
-granny smith apples (not quite as sour)
-oranges (super sweet)
The lemons were the most fun, because they were so sweet, but you could still feel your lips practically bleeding after a few slices. Vinegar was a close second, especially since if the tablet didn't completely cover your tongue you end up gagging. I tried some sour candies, but there was very little affect. It only seems to affect natural citrus. Maybe not such a good idea to tamper with evolution. Unless, of course, you don't believe in evolution, in which case go right ahead.
