- standrew, on 01/31/2008, -1/+5It lists Shiner Bock for Texas but St. Arnold's and Real Ale are better beers I think.
- ThinkBox, on 02/01/2008, -0/+4Shiner is a great beer, and I havent heard of St. Arnold's, I must educate myself.
also... Poooooooor Arkansas... :(- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1I was born in Arkansas, spent the first 8 years of my life there, so of course that was before I started drinking, but you'd think they would have a beer with at least some name recognition.
- ahatter, on 02/01/2008, -2/+1Shiner isnt all that great.. they use dyes to make it darker.
- ThinkBox, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3[citation needed]
- wanderlander, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Always liked Shiner used to be you couldn't get it outside of Texas, even some parts of Texas (kinda like Point used to be). I've never heard of the others, either, have to keep an eye out...
- ThinkBox, on 02/01/2008, -0/+4Shiner is a great beer, and I havent heard of St. Arnold's, I must educate myself.
- hardcider, on 01/31/2008, -0/+12It's so hard to just pick one brewer per state.
- maxyRO, on 01/31/2008, -0/+6I don't know about you, but I'm feeling thirsty
- gd1z, on 01/31/2008, -10/+1nevermind. digg down
- gbreed, on 01/31/2008, -0/+7There are lot of great beers missing. Stoudts (Pennsylvania) is a good beer but how can you miss Yingling (Pennsylvania) the oldest brewery in the US
- ajchavar, on 02/01/2008, -1/+4agreed, even rolling rock would have been a better choice for PA.
of, and i dont mean to be a douche but i think its yuengling.- mydigga, on 02/01/2008, -1/+4I would worry more about being a douche for suggesting Rolling Rock than giving the proper spelling for Yuengling.
- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -2/+2Yeah, I've honestly never tried, nor wanted to try Rolling Rock. Never appealled to me.
- mydigga, on 02/01/2008, -1/+4I would worry more about being a douche for suggesting Rolling Rock than giving the proper spelling for Yuengling.
- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2I was about to say the same thing. When I first had Yuengling, many years ago, I thought it was Chinese, haha, but now when I think Yuengling, I automatically think of Pennsylvania.
- ajchavar, on 02/01/2008, -1/+4agreed, even rolling rock would have been a better choice for PA.
- nico623, on 01/31/2008, -0/+16Wisconsin should be about 3x bigger and about 20+ more labels...
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3Hard to overlook Miller Lite as a representative to the rest of the country, but it's a damn shame that the tons of good Wisconsin beer, like New Glarus, can't represent the state instead.
- wanderlander, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1The commercial success of Miller says something, but man, compared to the rest it's nothing! New Glarus, as expensive as it is, is worth it! Also Capitol and Berghoff, even Point beer would score better than Miller in my book. Miller always seemed so..generic, to me anyway. Heck I'd even take Special Export over that one!
- gforce42, on 02/01/2008, -1/+2Miller Lite's the beer of the Packers. 'nuf sed
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3Hard to overlook Miller Lite as a representative to the rest of the country, but it's a damn shame that the tons of good Wisconsin beer, like New Glarus, can't represent the state instead.
- mik0r, on 02/01/2008, -2/+7Oh beer, how I doth love thee, let me count the ways....
No but really, mmm beer. - Error601, on 02/01/2008, -0/+6So many beers...so little map.
- mydigga, on 02/01/2008, -0/+6C'mon... Cali should have a Sierra Nevada label.
- mugsoh, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2Or Stone, or Anchor...Lots of good ones in CA besides that one I've never heard of.
- mikexg, on 02/01/2008, -0/+0Firestone can't touch Alesmith, Stone, or Port Brew (Pizza Port). Russian River as well
- wanderlander, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1I'm agreeing, but I'm going to have to try Firestone. Unless Wisconsin having Miller is any indication.....
- semeticstallion, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2I'd say Yeungling better identifies PA than Stoudt's (also America's oldest brewery, making it more fitting).
- contrapasso, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Definitely should have been Yuengilng.
- nesher9, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1I am more like a vodka drinker, but I can appreciate a good idea and nice presentation
- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1I'm drink Vodka more than beer too, maybe except during football season.
- ThinkBox, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2This is more interesting that the Wine by state list...
- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Anyone know why Arkansas is just blue? Is that the "Diamond Brewing Company" logo? Also, I live in Florida, and have never heard of "Big Bear Brewing Company"
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2I don't think Arkansas makes any beer. I could be wrong, but there are a lot of dry counties down there, so it seems probable.
- phenry, on 02/01/2008, -1/+3If a White Russian is not to be had, I'll take a Shiner....
- NeoConSlayer, on 02/02/2008, -0/+2I'll always go for an ice cold Heineken! What NO Heineken? OK bring me a Shiner! What NO SHINER? OK fine, just bring me a shot of Jack Daniels to kill the taste of the Bud Light. ;-)
- mooseontheloose, on 02/01/2008, -6/+2Beer is so god damn overrated. Seriously, what the ***** is wrong with you people? It's like bacon, it's popularity never ceases to amaze me. Sometimes I feel like people just go along with it in some giant ruse to confuse the ***** out of me.
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -1/+3Man, you even have obnoxious opinions about something as completely likable as beer.
- mooseontheloose, on 02/01/2008, -2/+2Unfortunately for me, I was born with the curse of independent and rational thinking, rendering me unable to jump on bandwagons and blindly support things like beer and Obama because it's the cool thing to do.
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3And yet you blindly lash out at the opinions of others without actually confronting them with said "independent and rational thinking." Tisk.
BTW, congratulations on being born thinking independently and rationally. I was pretty much sucking my mothers ***** and crapping my drawers (the cool things to do at the time) for a few months before I saw the light and decided to start bucking the system.- mooseontheloose, on 02/01/2008, -2/+1Ah, here come the ad hominem attacks. Because I don't agree with every mainstream neocon stance that the frontrunners from all parties hold I must be an angsty teenager! Wanting individual freedom and no wars is so kooky and crazy, what kind of a nut would want that‽
- Thumper13, on 02/01/2008, -2/+1What is your ***** problem with beer? Did your mom get run over by a drunk driver? People like it. Jesus, it's a drink. Move on.
What is your great alternative to beer O Great and Mighty power of individual thinking?
So you're like what, a third year college student? - hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -1/+2Look up "ad hominem." Hint: it's not an all-purpose defense to criticism of your manner of argument. It involves actual attacks on your character, not imagined slights.
While you're at it, why don't you look up "strawman," since you're into fallacy-spotting. Hint: nobody called you an "angsty teenager," nor "kooky and crazy."
Also, why not deploy your independent and rational thought to determine how you got from "I hate beer" to "you think I'm crazy because I want freedom." Personally, I can't follow the trail.
[note: Digg still hasn't fixed the "session expired" error, hence this misplaced reply]

- p0ss, on 02/01/2008, -5/+2Haha, all your beers are piss weak!

P.S. -Enjoy watching our Super Bowl, it'll give you a chance to watch real men play a sport.- jmpeagle, on 02/01/2008, -2/+1Aussie "football" is rugby...not exactly a sport for the weak
- contrapasso, on 02/01/2008, -1/+0Hmm yeah, i'd have to agree. Rugby is a much tougher, manly sport then football.
- hierophantus, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1The mass market stuff is, yeah. But there are tons of American beers out there that are far better. Just like Foster's is overrated, but I bet you guys have better stuff too.
- Thumper13, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1Nobody in Australia drinks Fosters, nobody in America (that knows better) drinks the ***** marketed on TV. I haven't had a beer that advertises in ages. I am lucky to live in one of the best beer areas in the world!
Oregon has many, many great beers. Find one in Australia and you'll change your mind about American beer. - wild, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1Haha. Enjoy your "refused classification" censorship.

(Seriously though, can you send over some of those famous glasses?)
- MattnJax, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1Haha, your "football" is weak!
- ChocoMidget, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1No Newcastle?? and wtf is this CA beer, it should have been Pacifico, which is a true representation of at least southern CA, unlike that piss water Corona that some how is branded as the must drink beer around these parts.
- omnithought, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2No no no....Stone brewing out of San Diego. Arrogant Bastard FTW!!!
- charliethehawk, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2errrr....Newcastle is an import.....from the city of Newcastle.....in England.
although agreed on the corona. CA should be Sierra Nevada.
- omnithought, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3I think they just randomly picked any beer from each state rather than even attempt to pick the better ones.
- AriaStar, on 02/01/2008, -4/+1Inaccurate. Sam Adams (Massachusetts) is just water.

Thats just ***** beautiful. Thank you sir. - wanderlander, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Dugg down for Miller in WI. I'm just tired of it, it's like the wall mart of beers....
- wild, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Thats not comment abuse.
- maddla, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2North Carolina should be Highland Brewing Company and not Pisgah. Pisgah is awesome but they are not the biggest. You could also choose Duck-Rabbit as well. BTW try the Pisgah triple!!!
- zspitfire04, on 02/01/2008, -1/+1Can someone explain why Kansas has Coors Light when the Rockies are in Colorado?
- Altanar, on 02/01/2008, -0/+4It doesn't, you just forgot where Colorado is.
- backside180, on 02/01/2008, -0/+0Bell's expedition stout is like rocket fuel, I'd prefer Michigan to be represented by Hopslam or Oberon.

Silly Penis!!! - chicoer2001, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1How were the beers choosen?
- Zippo, on 02/01/2008, -0/+2Now, let's make one for Canada.
- polarbobbear, on 02/01/2008, -0/+3I am ashamed to have Coors be the representative for Colorado, anyone who knows anything about beer doesn't even touch Coors in Colorado. We have way too many better breweries to put that piss-water into our system.
- holzp, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Allagash may be the best overall brewery in the State of Maine however Maine is much more identified by the Shipyard Brewing Company. Like it or not they contract brew many of the State's other beers and their brewing setup is all over the region.
- ieataquacrayons, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Mmmmm....Beeer...
- JohnFromChicago, on 02/02/2008, -0/+2I have to differ with Coors in Colorado. If this person loved beer, there would be a New Belgium (Fat Tire) label there.
- ezrich, on 02/03/2008, -0/+1Try Guinness Stout
- wanderlander, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1Yeah, ok but try Sierra's, it won me over...
