- captainh, on 08/03/2008, -2/+188Holy crap that's complicated.
- billsprestonIU, on 08/02/2008, -5/+172I do believe they forgot the crack ingredient that makes me crave this beverage.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -0/+129"But the most important item on the table is a single cup."
- t1m1, on 08/03/2008, -0/+109You mean like OpenCola?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenCola - inactive, on 08/03/2008, -6/+95"Like coke but sweeter and less acidic"... so Pepsi then
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -4/+75Reminds me of a Mitch Hedberg joke
“They say that the recipe for Sprite is lemon and lime, but I tried to make it at home, there’s more to it than that. ‘Hey, you want some more homemade Sprite, man?’ . . . ‘Not until you figure out what the ***** else is in it!’” - yuutokun, on 08/03/2008, -2/+70because its not your mom
- ienjoyrolling, on 08/03/2008, -29/+86***** You, two of my friends died assembling a variety of items on a kitchen table
- livingdots, on 08/03/2008, -1/+53You've clearly confused the taste of Coke with *****...
- fragmanlivith36, on 08/03/2008, -12/+54Man Coke makes me burp so much, but there is nothing like having a Coke with KFC. Its the ultimate American deathmeal.
- HenvY, on 08/03/2008, -0/+36And that was not one of them.
- billizm, on 08/03/2008, -0/+33Sweet a GNU public license to a cola recipe.
- mrgeekguy, on 08/03/2008, -0/+29Hopefully they will publish the formula for Aquafina, cause I love that stuff!!!!
- dragonlink2, on 08/03/2008, -2/+29so many good lines could immediately follow that quote.
- capturedpenguin, on 08/03/2008, -0/+23Or did they?
- upchucknorris1, on 08/03/2008, -0/+22OpenSoda is awesome.
I've tried:
Open Cola (Coke)
Open Dew (Mountain Dew)
Open Up (7up)
Frigid Bitch (Supposedly tastes like Wintergreen & Chery, but it also contains lemon oil, orange oil, grapefruit oil, lime oil, and cinnamon oil)
They were all tasted surprisingly like the actual drinks.
If anyone wants the recipes, here's the page:
http://www.opensoda.org/doc.html - inactive, on 08/03/2008, -0/+22The fact that there's a market for this makes me smile.
Nightly builds of cola, anyone? - badenglishihave, on 08/03/2008, -0/+22You said it. Cooking is essentially simple chemistry, but in this case the recipe really is more like a lab procedure.
- jull1234, on 08/03/2008, -0/+22A hammer drill with whisk attachment?
- str1fe, on 08/03/2008, -2/+23"Ubuntu Cola is not affiliated with the Linux distribution Ubuntu."
- captainh, on 08/03/2008, -1/+21Man Coke. Lol. Ok, I'll grow up now.
- ienjoyrolling, on 08/03/2008, -8/+28Is it just me or does coke taste better from McDonalds?
- jxfallout, on 08/03/2008, -2/+22You specifically remember digging this specific article two years ago? You must live an exciting life!
- AmericaTheGreat, on 08/03/2008, -8/+28Brush your goddamn teeth.
- Jeffler, on 08/03/2008, -1/+201. Fill bottle with tap water
2. ??? (Just kidding, label it and sell it to suckers)
3. Profit
Same goes with Dasani. (At least In Canada) - JustinHopewell, on 08/03/2008, -1/+20And now the rest of us have a chance to.
- DixonPro, on 08/03/2008, -0/+19Dun dun dun.....
- OKeric, on 08/03/2008, -2/+21Too bad KFC serves Pepsi and not Coke.
- Laminarcissus, on 08/03/2008, -0/+19That's why there are a few small cola companies, but a ton of small breweries. The "how many people want it" to "how damn hard is it to make" ratio is very different.
Energy drinks, on the other hand... - jb0nd38372, on 08/03/2008, -0/+16On a kitchen table two young women have assembled a variety of items. There are brown bottles, "BAGS OF WHITE POWDER", a pestle and mortar, a collection of funnels, a roll of silver gaffer tape. There is a drill. There is a whisk.
They would have you to believe this is sugar, I would wager differently. - Laminarcissus, on 08/03/2008, -0/+16And Cold Stone Creamery for dessert. Nothing like ice cream that's 90 percent glues and binders but still manages to be 1,000 calories a bowl.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -7/+23Pan-Cake syrup ,Carbonated water with a dash of day old coffee.
- wibambau, on 08/03/2008, -0/+15Homebrew
- austang, on 08/03/2008, -0/+15Nah that's only in the diet version nowadays. They had to take it out of the regular one.
- shiftyroach, on 08/03/2008, -8/+23why is no one fapping to this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Cola
- notwkf, on 08/03/2008, -1/+16No, they didn't.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Source_Beer_Proj ... - PabloMac, on 08/03/2008, -6/+20Coke tastes sweeter than Pepsi to me.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -1/+15Or you could think a little more and come to realize that perhaps he already read the article and chose to buy the drink...
- Laminarcissus, on 08/03/2008, -0/+14Who needs crack when you have caffeine?
- Laminarcissus, on 08/03/2008, -1/+14It should also probably be mentioned that caffeine in powdered form is actually fairly toxic, so it's worth wearing a breathing mask when working with it.
- anubis2night, on 08/03/2008, -1/+14The comment "Two of my friends died" is like all jokes, you need timing and a good use for it. It's like "that's what she said" you can use it all the time but it's not gonna be funny or you can use it sparingly and have a great moment. I think it worked here, mostly because it's just ludicrous, but also because it was a great response to 10571's comment
""On a kitchen table two young women have assembled a variety of items"
Good to see the women are in the kitchen where they belong."
You could almost imagine the indignation of someone who heard that joke, knowing that 2 of their friends suffered a calamity at that same fate. - ShaneMcDeath, on 08/03/2008, -0/+13Dispatches - Mark Thomas on Coca Cola

Part 5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W9nV7XO4vc - Jacob, on 08/03/2008, -1/+14because you digging the article 2 years ago has so much to do with crack being an ingredient in the drink. Just because you can reply to someones comment doesn't mean you should reply to their comment.
