- KenSPT, on 12/05/2007, -0/+26I don't believe a website such as Digg would condone such adolescent behavior.
Obviously, I'm joking ... and also drunk. - Rikushix, on 12/05/2007, -1/+12Some of these aren't exactly feats people should go out of their way to try to beat.
- Flamancot, on 12/05/2007, -1/+1174 years - give that man a medal.
- Conway, on 12/05/2007, -0/+8Steven Petrosino is the man! Did you see how freak'n fast he drank that??
- CabesMojo, on 12/05/2007, -0/+6The beer mile one might be the fastest documented but its not the fastest. My friends in Berkeley do beer miles and I think their record is by a kid named David Torrance at 5:04, of course they also do this in their underwear, but cause running around half naked drunk is what college is about.
- hansonc, on 12/05/2007, -0/+5Most of the beer from the big 3 (A-B, Miller, Coors) uses corn instead of barley since it's cheaper. Just to be safe only use German beer for your beer runs. You can't even legally call it beer in Germany if it's made with anything other than Water, Barley, Hops and Yeast
- f4nt0m4s, on 12/05/2007, -1/+5that beer mile is pretty incredible, i can't imagine running a beer mile in less than 15 minutes
- Wargalas, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4GI JOE!
- jd33, on 12/05/2007, -1/+5Sloppiest Seconds
- adikt, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3No I didn't. That's how fast he is.
- KenSPT, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3Cue the music and the "More You Know" graphic ...
- KenSPT, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2Buried ...
- ImOscar, on 12/05/2007, -1/+374 years exactly to the day because today is Repeal Day!
http://www.digg.com/odd_stuff/Repeal_Day_is_Decemb ... - ImOscar, on 12/05/2007, -1/+3And why would that invalidate attempts in the US?
If that's a shot at American beer I'd like to point out that there is probably no place in the world where craft brewing thrives as much as it does as in the US. - misfitpanda, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2Trebeck: ...And the categories are...Potent Potables---
Sean Connery: "Insert joke about Trebeks sexuality or mother" - gnick, on 12/05/2007, -1/+3Stone and Rogue (among many others) make great brews. But, I'm obligated to throw out Monty Python:
"American beer is like sex in a canoe."
"***** near water." - cawpin, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2That 1 liter record sure didn't look like a liter to me.
- GafferXL, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2I know a person who may be able to beat that... A miler on the Brown track team that runs around a 4:10 mile.
- bumpshack, on 12/06/2007, -0/+2Now that's a list. Who's buying tonight?
- Cpt0bvius, on 12/05/2007, -1/+2Bad troll.....Bad...
- betobeto, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Yet they do. At least some of my friends are trying long and hard to beat those records.
- tyywebb, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1You are.
- drkmirror, on 12/05/2007, -1/+2And knowing is half the battle,
- DomZy, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1That guy who chugs that beer, it's so fast it almost looks like it's a magic trick. amazing.
- aequitask, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1am i the only one thats suspicious about the guy who drinks the beer in 1 gulp? It looks like its a trick or something. Ideas?
- CabesMojo, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Ahh you must be one of those yahoos who think the only beers produced in the USA are Bud Light, Miller Light, and Coors Light.
- guestaccount, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1Photoshopped
- adikt, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1oy oy oy
- Sophistifunk, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1Weak as piss, we all know the best beer record in history is the fact that Bob Hawke who was PRIME MINISTER of Australia held the record for fastest yard-glass.
- invinciblenow, on 12/08/2007, -0/+1yeah but can he drink? he would have to chug 4 beers well under a minute and a half each, and still hold a pretty respectable pace with all the ***** rolling around in his stomach
- CabesMojo, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1I don't know about other towns, but there are several pubs here that brew their own beer on site and have quite a variety.
- bigjoeportagee, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1very proud that a guy from hamilton has the beer mile record, probably trained drinking and running from the riot police at hess village,
- ytsejam29, on 12/05/2007, -1/+1Dugg for the alliteration in the description.
- shuuy, on 12/05/2007, -1/+1Alcoholic world records aren't sanctioned by Guinness...
...I found this out the hard way trying to find the largest flip cup tournament - anonymoustache, on 12/06/2007, -0/+0They forgot one. The 23rd Prime Minister of Australia was (is?) the world record holder for drinking a yard glass (approximately 3 imperial pints or 1.7 litres) of beer (in 11 seconds!).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Hawke#Early_life_ ... - Zipper114, on 12/05/2007, -0/+0Nevermind a medal. Give that hero a beer!
- jerrycan, on 12/05/2007, -3/+3Well according to the Beer mile wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_Mile) rule #8 states that:
"The beer must be a fermented alcoholic beverage brewed from malt and flavored with hops."
Wouldn`t that make any Beer mile attempt in the USA invalid? - Sevzi, on 12/05/2007, -4/+3The .7% BAC is the only interesting one here. That's probably several multiples of LD50.
- jerrycan, on 12/06/2007, -1/+0Yeah, sorry it was a cheap jab at a stereotype. excluding the big 3, you have probably have one of the greatest variety of beers in the world. One question, are brew pubs a big thing in the USA
- je12u, on 12/05/2007, -3/+0Condone?!? The first thing i did was look to see if this was submitted by Kevin
- PulpOutlaw, on 12/05/2007, -7/+2I hope this is a joke....
