- 01l0, on 11/20/2007, -1/+2White Christian Persecution Complex is highly hilarious
- qualish, on 11/20/2007, -6/+20Do articles like this totally piss anyone else off? Why you gotta tell me how to enjoy my Christmas.
- jmpeagle, on 11/20/2007, -4/+3yeah it probably pisses a lot of people off and really only resonates with people who were going to do this stuff anyways
- andrewcsayer, on 11/20/2007, -6/+2regifting my senile aunty with what she gave me last year is ethical surely.
- tacotruck08, on 11/20/2007, -3/+2Happy, umm... HOLIDAYS!!
- atown44, on 11/20/2007, -1/+5A Festivus for the Rest-of-us!
- lindsay4767, on 11/20/2007, -3/+2i hate this article
- bennyfreshness, on 11/20/2007, -1/+0fanboy doesn't even suffice here
- Uranium118, on 11/20/2007, -6/+1I'm tired of this conscientious crap Digg is shoving down our throats. From now on, for every eco-friendly, tree-hugging, anti-pollution article I see, I will pollute, waste, not recycle twice the amount I usually do. There's a bonus if I see multiple articles the same day! I will increase exponentially for that day then reset my counter to zero the next day.
- 01l0, on 11/20/2007, -1/+1Here's a christmas tip for you - if you don't like it, DON'T READ THE ***** ARTICLE
- MikeFallopian, on 11/20/2007, -1/+1This is a great idea. Very reminiscent of Maddox's anti-vegetarian campaign ("for every animal you don't eat, I'll eat 2!").
- dvsbastard, on 11/20/2007, -2/+4"Aren't we forgetting the true meaning of this day, the birth of Santa?"
- Plower, on 11/20/2007, -3/+0Only important tip for an ethical Christmas....leave it up to Santa.
- halfemptyfilms, on 11/20/2007, -3/+5When did becoming a wacky environmentalist become associated with ETHICS? do they even know what that word means?
- 01l0, on 11/20/2007, -0/+2if you even knew what the word meant, you wouldn't be asking that question.
- AladinSane, on 11/20/2007, -2/+1I am now officially tired of all this hippy "green" crap.
- headswine, on 11/20/2007, -1/+1Then there is this...
http://www.floort.com/?fid=67&ftitle=Have+a+Happy+ ... - picto, on 11/20/2007, -1/+1Cool article. Although they should write a followup on what you should do if you get your 5 year old a 'handcrafted' power ranger from the local craft fair and resents you for the rest of his life.
On another note, who honestly lives within "walking distance" of anything remotely worth a damn? - yoda17, on 11/20/2007, -0/+1This is the biggest piece of fluff that I have ever read. Fortunately it was only three sentences.
Here's a better 'ECO' Christmas.
1. Don't buy or give anything.
2. Ask not to be given anything.
3. Ask people (even ones that you don't know) if they need help and help them if they need it.
4. Don't wait till Christmas.
It's amazing how well this works. - cheekybastard, on 11/20/2007, -0/+1Ethical Christmas? WTF? This is a sign of the Apocalypse, the Birkenstockification of Digg.
Where's Cartman when you need him?

Oh,and most of the world lives within walking distance of most things they need. Only in America, land of the automobile, is this an unusual concept.
