- whereisian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24The Old Country Market in Coombs, British Columbia has goats on the roof; and they're friendly.
http://www.oldcountrymarket.com/goats.html - Bukowsky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23i wonder how many goats have fallen off the roof..
- suxmonkey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Maybe that's how you know they're ready to be eaten?
- yensed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Ha! Lets see you get them now, Chupacabra.
- psx00, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I live in south-east Wisconsin and Door County is one of my favorite places to visit and this is always a place that I make sure to stop by. The fish boils that they have there are amazing, and it's especially cool when they throw a coffee can worth of kerosene on to a roaring fire and you can feel the heat a good forty feet back!
- TrevorBradley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Seeing as how Coombs wins the Google search for "Goats on a Roof", I say "Baah!" to Wisconson!
The Coombs goats have been around forever... - iepurilah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8What do they do when the grass runs out? :D
- ganomex, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8I for one welcome our new roof goat overlords

- dfay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I can't help being reminded of "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep" (the book made into the film Bladerunner). In the book, Deckard kept his artificial pet sheep on the roof. I think it ate artificial grass too, if I remember right.
- zenatek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5w00t ... I live there! I love it when my quaint small area appears on Digg.
- andjjru, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Secret to who? It's always packed, and I'm pretty sure everyone who's ever been to Door County knows about it...
- lockedon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Hey it works it works... never have to spend money on a fence. They fall they die you eat em...
- Nick22, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3damn, beat me to it, was just gonna mention that place. Been there a few times now, its a pretty wicked market
- avonwodahs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I used to live near a market 20 minutes north of Toffino BC that did the same thing, the goats are natural mountain climbers and used to the slope, and they bring alot of tourists. They arn't up there all day, and they don't eat enough grass for there to be a shortage.
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3They're goats. They're probably used to high places.
- matperk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I always try to make it up there. Their Swedish pancakes are like dessert.
- spartan777, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3i've been to that restaurant, and to my knowledge, they've never had an incident. the goats are very well taken care of.
- nipplering69, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3There is nothing sexier than a roof or a goat. Now that they are both combined I might just be aroused.
- freakstyle571, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I have been to Door County quite a few times, my friend actually worked at this restaurant. Its called Al Johnson's. I worked right down the street from it this last summer at the Door County Ice Cream factory. My friend has a few stories to tell about the goats actually. Yes... They have fallen off. No, the goats were fine. They take the goats down every night and put them into a sort of pen they have. My friend actually had one escape on him when he was bringing it off the roof and it ran out into the street and almost got hit by a car. He caught it after chasing it for a couple hundred yards.
- spartan777, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2nice, i love door county. born and raised in sheboygan.

- TheSpook, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2What's the point of any tourist attraction? It's part of the charm in Door County.

- stklaw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Actually, the goats aren't dumb.
- dragoneye, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That was my first thought when I saw the title of the article, Its interesting to see the other diggers from around the area thinking the same thing. It is quite the cool little market, though all the times I have been in the past few years there were no goats on the roof at the time where they could be seen.
- mrgreg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Born in West Milwaukee, Raised in Greenfield here.

My parents used to play in the bluegrass festival up there all the time. I used to go there a lot! - Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Heh I used to pass by this place all the time as a child. Always amused me.
- alive1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Am I really the only one who keeps reading "goats" as "goatse" everywhere? I need to get off the internet for a while...
- riverstyx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What would happen if Goatse raised goats?
