- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -9/+46You two are idiots
- RobotCitizen, on 11/11/2008, -0/+35How is this green when it encourages every person who buys the game to promptly toss it in the trash?
- mishaneah, on 11/10/2008, -5/+37Low quality products have nothing to do with sustainable design. Trying to equate these two concepts is misleading at best.
- breckinshire, on 11/10/2008, -3/+29Maybe the game is supposed to be *****?
- greenfyre, on 11/10/2008, -0/+24"Faux Green Marketing has done ... "
- slvrbullet87, on 11/10/2008, -3/+26The green movement is great... have you ever used one of the "green" cleaners? you have to use three times as much wasting water, spend 5 times as much as you would for a normal bottle of detergent/soap/random cleaner, and then you have to throw out 3 plastic bottles instead of 1
- Renton, on 11/11/2008, -0/+23Remember back when green was referring to a color?
- dvsbastard, on 11/11/2008, -3/+24A "Board Game"... What is that?! When is it coming out on PC?!
- castletech, on 11/10/2008, -1/+20Practices like this will keep people away from buying quality eco-friendly products. I guess they never heard of bamboo.
- lead2thehead, on 11/11/2008, -2/+19So what's wrong with wood? Wood is renewable and as an added bonus, it doesn't look like injection molded dog crap.
- degree, on 11/11/2008, -1/+15i like to burn the bottles so that everything is kept in balance.
- laim, on 11/10/2008, -0/+14who the hell uses laundry balls
- beabis, on 11/10/2008, -22/+35The guy just doesn't get it. Going green is not about quality products. It's about the good feeling you get knowing you are saving Mother Earth. Every time an inferior green product fails you it reminds you of the sacrifice you have made for the good of the Universe. What could possibly be more rewarding than that?
Quit complaining and go buy some laundry balls. - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+16Interesting that bamboo costs as much or more than the wood it purports to save. If it's green, good and renewable, it should be cheap and plentiful.
It all boils down to one thing.....$$$
If you can sucker people into paying a premium for something it's better for the bottom line.
"Green" has NOTHING to do with reality other than charging more for something based on the "feelings" it supposedly evokes. - willrs, on 11/11/2008, -0/+12O_o
- breckinshire, on 11/10/2008, -0/+12Your mom uses... ah, screw it.
- bagboyrebel, on 11/11/2008, -0/+9Oh, nice. I was starting to miss this guys posts. Seriously, best troll I've seen in a long time.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -17/+26I'll keep this short, as i'm not sure what level of existence i'm currently in.
I guess it's a relatively simple problem, digg: my wife has been using green tea skin exfoliants for the past month or so. Now, under normal conditions this wouldn't be a problem (in fact, it makes her skin smooth and fantastic to the touch!) but she applies it in such a way that it hardens over the nostril.
This hardening of the nostril passage has caused her to go into a primal state as she sleeps, in which I believe satan grants her hellish snoring capabilities. This is compounded by the fact that i'm very considerate and i'm afraid to wake her up for fear of her leaving me again.
So what did you do Johan? Naturally, I headed to walgreens, and there I picked up some tylenol PM, and ingested it immediately. After a VERY exciting car ride in which I endangered some tens of people's lives, I then made it to my doorstep before passing out.
But herein lies the problem, though i'm conciously aware i'm dreaming, I can't seem to wake up right now. My cognitive abilities seem fine, but the world is all too real. By manifesting my desires, i've found this Digg in my dream-world is a replication or similarity of the real digg, and having used digg in my real life for help, I'm hoping that you people in this "dream-digg" will assist me.
In short, how do I get out? Can you tell me if this is a normal occurrence?
Thank you so much for your time. I know you're my subconscious expressing my desires into a more tangible visual metaphor, but you have no idea how much this means to me, and I feel really bad that you aren't real and you don't have souls!
Thank you SO much.
Sleepily,
Johan Marcus Guy - degree, on 11/11/2008, -0/+9sorry, i was basically being an e-bitch b/c i thought that was a goofy way to start something off. but now, because you said flim flam, i wish i could go back in time and chest bump your dad the day you were born..to congratulate him for being made of 50% you.
- FENWAYFREAK, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8Because hopefully they will recycle it instead!
- MasonZombie, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8What..... the.....*****....
Dugg. - scott12087, on 11/11/2008, -0/+7This coming from a reputable company like Zabazoo. I'm disappointed.
- helloothere, on 11/11/2008, -0/+6But think of the pandas!
- Hypnotical, on 11/10/2008, -0/+6green coal anyone?
- degree, on 11/11/2008, -1/+7"I would ask the writer of this article if he has ever purchased a product before this one."
uhhh.. - JakeKreber, on 11/11/2008, -1/+7dammit, i lost
- twelvedogs, on 11/11/2008, -0/+6This was most likely people trying to save a few bucks than the environment. fancy wooden pieces couldn't have been cheap.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+10***** the green movement.
Self-pleasure is more important than "saving Mother Earth" (which is an alarmist canard if I ever heard one). - nilhilustfreder, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5That's true, no one is claiming otherwise. The company just went with a ***** "sustainable" design over a good conventional one, defeating the original purpose of the product, to be fun to play, and defeating the purpose of sustainability, which is to produce less waste (which is what this game is destined to become)
- rlbond86, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Blokus is better anyway.
- Mesach, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5In a word.
Yes - brenan999, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Goddamn, that would be really ***** frustrating to stumble upon. Well I know what I'm NOT buying my kids this Christmas.
- turbodan1, on 11/11/2008, -1/+6When things or people are 'green' just for the sake of being green.
- willrs, on 11/11/2008, -1/+5xbox live arcade?
- willrs, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4seriously, it's too expensive...
- LucasVB, on 11/11/2008, -1/+5Green is the new cool, like Fifth Element.
ARE YOU GREEN!? - colsim, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4Am I the only person who pronounces it bloke-us?
- zuiquan, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4That is shameful.
- Suricou, on 11/11/2008, -1/+5But it's a lot more expensive than injection molded dog crap, because of the expense of the complex machinary (or chinese workers) needed to shape it.
- rowlodge, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4those look like manure blocks.
- Vosona, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4Almost as if we weren't currently posting on some kind of near-limitless information source, with very easy ways to access this information.
Some sort of "search engine" if you will. - Suricou, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4Wow, rip-off merchants have realised a 'green' label will make things sell? Clearly this means all people with environmental concerns are fools.
Rip-off merchants have been sticking Christian symbols on things for centuries to increase their appeal to gullable religious people. Guess that means all Christians are fools too?
Given the number of quack medical practices, can we also say sick people are all fools?
Best install computer-users in that too, as manufacturers will do anything to increase the marketing appeal of the latest gaming hardware. - Deathfrogg, on 11/11/2008, -1/+4wtf is a laundry ball?
- skunkman62, on 11/11/2008, -2/+5@nilhilustfreder
great point. so what is the answer? - st00f72, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Nope: just you and my father-in-law!
- Suricou, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Considering that there are plenty of better-suited green materials (wood comes to mind), I think this is more a case of someone using environmentalism as an excuse to justify the cheapest material they could possibly find.
- Suricou, on 11/11/2008, -1/+4Clarify: Sarcasm or not?
- supremebeing18, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3"green ketchup has done..."
http://www.allegrahelena.com/images/heinz.jpg - blueshift7, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3I saw what you did there.
