- alapoet, on 10/26/2008, -4/+73Well, that's one thing that's in plentiful supply in Jersey!
- JasonAdams13, on 10/27/2008, -6/+51Jersey girls ain't trash. Trash gets picked up!
- Daniel591992, on 10/27/2008, -1/+31If only they could make use of orange people.
- AmyVernon, on 10/27/2008, -3/+30Finally! See, Jersey always knew that trash would come in handy. That's why we kept so much of it.
- CJankeLOLv2, on 10/27/2008, -0/+15make orange people run treadmills
- doiveo, on 10/26/2008, -7/+21"There's gold in them hills."
Literally - there would trace amounts of gold in a landfill. - FatLoser, on 10/27/2008, -1/+13new jersey, by definition, cannot ever run out of trash. until the state itself is run through this recycler, there will be trash aplenty
- supermanly, on 10/27/2008, -1/+11Jersey will always have plenty of trash
- KublaiKhan, on 10/27/2008, -4/+14Puttin' the DIRTY in Dirty Jerz!!
Seriously though, I'm from Jersey, don't digg me down. My self-esteem depends on it. - alexra, on 10/27/2008, -0/+8they should burn guidos for a source of power, at least they'll be good for something
- indraneel24, on 10/27/2008, -1/+9Listen guys, orange people really aren't _everywhere_ you know, so really don't get the wrong idea.
- mrsteveman1, on 10/27/2008, -1/+9They probably would run these machines quite nicely. I won't tell if you won't.
- tmyprod, on 10/27/2008, -0/+7Some how i'm not surprised.
- MercurySoup, on 10/27/2008, -0/+7They are still orange.
- form3hide, on 10/27/2008, -2/+9It's funny, because being from New Jersey, we all consider the "orange" people the people who come to our "shores" from Staten Island, Brooklyn, etc.
- mannymix03, on 10/27/2008, -0/+7Wow, if you actually RTFA you would realize that it says that NJ has been using methane gas from landfills for power for almost two decades. If you're going to try and act like you're better, at least give a convincing argument.
- schrutefan, on 10/27/2008, -0/+6Waste management? Does Tony Soprano get a cut?
- Klisk, on 10/27/2008, -1/+7The orange people have a name, they're called guidos. Use the name!
The don't actually come from NJ, they're benny's that come from Staten Island.
However, NJ does have it's fair share of guidos. It's fortunately not as common as the internet meme's like to make it, but still obnoxious as hell when you have to deal with one when you're out in public in the real world. Even more annoying when someone you know becomes one of them. Cringe-inducing for sure. - CrackyJSquirrel, on 10/27/2008, -0/+5Wow, you are so hip and progressive.
- MadTom, on 10/27/2008, -1/+6If only we could, then orange people would move out and be useful in other states and never come back.
- peestandingup, on 10/27/2008, -2/+7I heard the majority of the trash is made up of used self-tanning lotion & hair gel containers.
- Nick5309, on 10/27/2008, -0/+5There will always be guidos in jerz, therefore there will always be trash in jerz
- betrayed, on 10/27/2008, -0/+5Well aren't you the spittin' image of an *****.
- fattehboi, on 10/27/2008, -1/+5Being from jersey....
aww ***** I can't even say anything. - shibainu, on 10/27/2008, -0/+4the waste management business is big in new jersey
- fattehboi, on 10/27/2008, -1/+4don't forget about our eggplant!
- freehunter, on 10/27/2008, -1/+4Nobdy wants windmills in their backyard? I tell you, I would rather have a windmill in my backyard than a trash incinerator. At least the windmill will keep me cool.
- KibblesnBitts, on 10/27/2008, -1/+4Really? Pretty much everyone I know calls it Jersey....and if I were ever orange, I would've made myself useful and stopped living
- Flappy3, on 10/27/2008, -1/+4Mr Fusion.

You're in denial. - lorductape, on 10/27/2008, -0/+3this is why they keep the guidos around! to recycle!
- iRoy, on 10/27/2008, -0/+3Shoot, if this is true then they are going to be the most powerful state in the country.
- ThermiteTerrace, on 10/27/2008, -1/+3Will the plumes of smoke improve the state's smell?
- orlyfactor, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2Original...
- lindenwold, on 10/27/2008, -2/+4dugg for being an interesting article.
Btw, people that have never been south of Trenton shouldn't be allowed to talk ***** on jersey. - usingpond, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2A fitting and poetic fate for New Jersey.
- FaithclubDotNet, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2But what do we do when we run out of trash?
- Grummond, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2Filters are your friend.
- CaptainCool53, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2Just about every stupid trash/garbage/orange people/guido joke that's been said here applies to North Jersey and not South Jersey.
- paradox4190, on 10/27/2008, -1/+3http://www.bustedtees.com/jerseygirls
- inactive, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2I don't think that we are in danger of running out of trash, especially as long as the NYT and Time continue publication.
- jec68, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2I pray for the day that we can fuel our power plants with Jersey guidos.
- tehrich, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2Central New Jersey, not north New Jersey. The areas close to New York City are the bad parts. Up In the very north it's all farms and fields.
- doctorgrim, on 10/27/2008, -0/+2I knew they'd find a use for all those guidos.
- rdoger6424, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1dude, if you're playing 4, just have separate cities. I like to keep all dirty industry in one city (fittingly named New Jersey), while all my residential areas are separate. Pollution doesn't cross city boundaries :D
- Starks, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Jersey still smells like ass.
- polygons, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Nice to see my old town was actually doing something with all that trash.
- freehunter, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Worse trash. Just not as much of it.
