- tinsanta, on 09/23/2009, -1/+247It's amazing, it is like Sydney was moved to Mars overnight.
- Ramzy, on 09/23/2009, -2/+193Yeah, it was ***** up. Woke up this morning, walked out into my balcony, thought judgment day was upon us or something.

- Lemonblood, on 09/23/2009, -2/+88The red was over by 10am (the dust stayed). The sun was blue though, which was cool.
- Navicerts, on 09/23/2009, -2/+69***** them at least you have a protective layer of tar coating your lungs to protect you from the dust; those guys are *****.

- tastic, on 09/23/2009, -3/+36The red dust will rid us of the visitors!
- jander86, on 09/23/2009, -0/+31It's always a good idea to look at the sun. Just make sure you open your eyes wide enough to avoid getting eyelash tan-lines on your irises. It looks tacky.
- poitzort, on 09/23/2009, -8/+36Any interpretation of the bible other than historical fiction is full on retard.
- mooocow, on 09/23/2009, -2/+27Yeah.. pretty sure its just plain old dust and no one is getting third degree burns from going outside
- VermiciousKnid, on 09/23/2009, -1/+19This morning I couldnt see past my backyard.
It was like a thick dry red fog. - drunkinbda, on 09/23/2009, -3/+21lol i dont think people deny global change..
change has been happening since the earth's beginning, in cycles. People argue against the thought that its us causing it, and not just nature taking its course. - azatoz, on 09/23/2009, -1/+19To be more specific an intense cold front moved east across Australia over the last couple of days creating strong winds for much of the east coast of Australia blowing in from the dry dusty interior of the continent. As alarik said, the red dust is the outback of Australia, it's been blown in hundreds of kilometers to the coast.
This combined with earthquakes in Melbourne last night and bushfires near Brisbane has most of east coast Australia thinking the world is ending. - chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -1/+18Rum?
- skate3214, on 09/23/2009, -1/+14Yeah it was the same up here in Port Macquarie, at like 7:30am you could look at the sun directly without it raping your eyes, then it turned blue which was very cool.
- cyberdash, on 09/23/2009, -0/+13hahaha
"It's like... dark time!" - woofer1125, on 09/23/2009, -0/+12Denny's on a friday night?

- abbott75, on 09/23/2009, -1/+12Whoa, settle people. He just said it reminded him of a passage in the Bible, not that a dust storm indicated the end of the world!
- greerso, on 09/23/2009, -1/+12YO SYDNEY, I'M REALLY HAP.... ***** it, just click the link.
http://www.triplem.com.au/sydney/shows/grill-team/ ... - chuckDontSurf, on 09/23/2009, -1/+11The sky was all red, there were people running everywhere.
- Cockjuice, on 09/23/2009, -0/+10In other news, a highly organized terrorist group has bombed a large paprika processing plant in Sydney last night.
- Spider27, on 09/23/2009, -0/+9Living in Mildura (not to far for Broken Hill) I've come accustom to the occasional Dusty, But that video is crazy!

- andoru, on 09/23/2009, -0/+8Crikey!
- NeddieSeagoon, on 09/23/2009, -0/+8It started about 3:00 in the morning. I could smell this red dust everywhere but didn't know where it was coming from. Then when I woke up, the sky was bright red! Really bizarre. But it seems to be completely clear now.
- shooper, on 09/23/2009, -0/+8October?
- liljerk, on 09/23/2009, -1/+9ii hereby declare MARTIAN LAW.
i'm forming a cadre of martian knights, charged with enforcing martian law
so who's ready to beat some ass? - NeddieSeagoon, on 09/23/2009, -0/+8Not sure how to describe it, but it just has a distinctive smell that I recognized. It instantly reminded me of the fine red dust that fills up your car when you drive on dirt roads in the Australian outback.
- Oztog, on 09/23/2009, -0/+8I was wondering what level of Dante's Hell I had woken up to, I would wager the 3rd but quite possibly the 6th.
- Mujokan, on 09/23/2009, -2/+9The outback is now the infront.

- brickwall99, on 09/23/2009, -10/+16You never have to worry about judgement day because holy texts like the bible are fiction and there are no gods. Now enjoy the rest of your life.
