- inactive, on 10/26/2007, -0/+6Good stuff! Creative, imaginative, and well-executed. Dugg.

I can see the gigantic can-sized pixels - waymatter, on 10/27/2007, -1/+4Love the cobra. Cobra Kai!! "Put him in a body bag, Johnny."
- dunderballer, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2The M&Ms look like the ghosts from Pac-Man.
- bamafun, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2ok i'll ask - Who is the artist ???
- shahofkings, on 10/28/2007, -0/+2I thought those WERE the ghosts from Pac-Man
- stattek, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2I don't know if it was one artist for these. I know there is an annual event here in Vancouver where companies put together teams to build these structures for a competition (the name escapes me right now, something with the word 'can' in it), and in the end all the cans of food are donated to the food bank.
- blinkgreen, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2I like the snake. The cans really give a similar looking texture to the snake's scales.
- AriaStar, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2Who the hell decides to fund these things?
- Hoogs, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2Dugg for the comments at the bottom of the pics.
- stattek, on 10/27/2007, -0/+2I remembered the name, it's Canstruction
- lordspidey, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1hehehe i do the same thing when im waiting for my order at the restaurant
i use the little cream/milk cups - themastersb, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1The title of the blog says funny pictures. What's so funny about them? btw.... damn blog spam.
- rockmyway, on 10/27/2007, -1/+2I'm conducting such an event myself: its called CANSTRUCTION (canstruction.org). Its an event organized mostly by engineering and architectural firms. These cans will be donated to charities after the models are built. I had my company convinced to build a Pacman. But damn, we are going for the hoover dam now.
- abeg, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1anybody feel an urge to pull a can from the bottom?
- ehalasey, on 10/27/2007, -1/+2If those cans were full like they appear to be, I hope the food was donated to someone who needed it afterwards.
- daridave, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1pretty much what LEGO are all about. Great... dugg.
- edwartica, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1I remember when I was younger, I pulled a can from the bottom of a stack of cans, and sent the stack tumbling down. Hopefully there aren't any five year olds thinking the same thing with these cans.
- torrzilla, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1Is that Aunt Jemima that can King Kong is holding?
- awesty, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1I love the snake :D
- manonfire285, on 10/28/2007, -0/+1546
- Disgone, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1This isn't just one artist. It's an annual event to raise awareness for hunger called CANStruction.
I work for an Architecture firm in Orlando and our office has participated for the last few years.

- Antha, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1You'd be amazed at the funding available for art projects like this. Have you seen the Big Bugs exhibition that tours arboretums around the country? Funded by grants from the NEA. I don't guess this was a public art project, so it was probably funded by the artist him or herself.
I used to run a sculpture company and have written enough RFPs to choke a horse. For public installations, your tax dollars fund these things. - stattek, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1What company are you with/where are you located? I know an event by that name happens in Vancouver every year or so
- inactive, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1Yeah, maybe some of us would like to know who the artist is so we can find more of their work.
- frankinuld, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1This is what hobos do since they can't afford legos.
- shahofkings, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0and give him/her more cans
- sifiblog, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0Here is a smart campaign for an advertiser: make a statue out of cans of your product and place it near a popular event like a big football game. Imagine how many people would take pictures and video of this and share it online. When it comes time to take it down use a steamroller =)
- FrillyShirtMan, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0I love it when people make art from random crap.
- aneechka, on 10/27/2007, -0/+0how much time was spent on those cans that could have been used towards gaining a real talent? like knife throwing.
- AndrewNorris, on 10/27/2007, -1/+1These pictures have been circulating the net for quite awhile now...
- FrillyShirtMan, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0I think it looks like a mrs. butterworth bottle.
- sifiblog, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0On second thought, steamrollers are too slow to keep anyone interested.
- sifiblog, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0M&Ms...?
- DonLinguine, on 10/26/2007, -1/+1basically giant Legos
- flink405, on 10/27/2007, -1/+1Cool sculptures of cans. I like the mermaid.
And here´s another one - this artist paints on cans:
http://crushedcanart.blogspot.com/ - primetime485, on 10/27/2007, -2/+1That's what she said.
- krizzle, on 10/27/2007, -1/+0This type of art promotes global warming. Its not "cool". Lets see how COOL it is to have the global temperature average at 105 degrees. NOT VERY COOL. buried.
- jhuebel, on 10/27/2007, -2/+1Dumb. Seriously, it's a bunch of cans stacked in the shape of something. Most of the "sculptures" aren't even particularly interesting. And I hardly believe making M&M's or a giant lobster out of cans could be considered art.
Note to self:
1. create something really inane
2. take pictures
3. post it on digg
4. profit!
