environmentalgraffiti.com — Up until now the list of worms that has made men curse with fear has pretty much been limited to tape worms.

- sockpuppets, on 05/09/2008, -0/+13Reminds me of the handlebar mustache worms of '67.
- jon30041, on 05/09/2008, -1/+9That was nothing compared to the Walrus Mustache Worm outbreak in '35. Some say that we decided to fight that instead of the Nazi's... and thank God we did, or we'd all be *****.
- sockpuppets, on 05/09/2008, -0/+13Reminds me of the handlebar mustache worms of '67.
- skewl, on 05/09/2008, -0/+9makes tapes worms sounds tame

- Borgcube636, on 05/09/2008, -19/+11I'm convinced Hillary is a screw-worm. Cuz if she's elected, we're all gonna be screwed!
- ufia, on 05/09/2008, -2/+4We are not paying you to post anti Hillary propaganda in unrelated topics.
Go back in the US Elections 2008 section, or you're fired. - crazyjake, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4come on! Hilary views aside, that joke was just horribly done!

- galvo, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the somewhat creative name of those screwy bastards.
- punkcat, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Dugg for digg link appearing in middle of article.
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -1/+11Interesting. I just found out that I have hookworm in my foot. You can see the long thin worm just under my skin on the bottom of my foot. It is about a 6 inch very thin red long squiggly raised track.
- Alexandru25, on 05/09/2008, -0/+9Where the hell did you get that from?
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+11I got it from Brazil playing beach soccer in a dirty pit of sand with open cuts.
- haikuFU, on 05/09/2008, -3/+2I got one of those in Brazil also, but it was from kicking a Brazilian prostitute squaw in da nuertz.
- Cornloaf, on 05/09/2008, -0/+10Pics please.

- donkeySays, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4***** nasty, dude. I hate worms!
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+7http://www.jelloplanet.com/photo/foot/foot.jpg
- forceuser, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Uh are you going to be alright?
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4yeah I have some medicine that will kill it. It's pretty common in Brazil
- forceuser, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4That's good, I've studied those things before. My first instinct would be to cut my leg open and just tear it out.. but that might be a bit too painful.
- weizilla, on 05/09/2008, -0/+8for some reason, I thought you were being sarcastic about the playing in a dirty pit of sand with open cuts part
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4yeah I have some medicine that will kill it. It's pretty common in Brazil
- feliks2, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5What now? Do you just make an incision in your foot at home at pull the worm out, or surgery, or what? Thats ***** gross, I wouldn't be able to walk around like that.
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+6I take some pills that kill it. I have had a bunch of parasites before so I guess I am used to it. This is the first one in my foot. The other worms I had were intestinal ones.
- weizilla, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3When you get so many parasites that you're used to it... I think it's time to consider relocation or a different lifestyle
- Mononuclear, on 05/09/2008, -0/+6I take some pills that kill it. I have had a bunch of parasites before so I guess I am used to it. This is the first one in my foot. The other worms I had were intestinal ones.
- Hincapie, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1thats gross
- Alexandru25, on 05/09/2008, -0/+9Where the hell did you get that from?
- lawlerskate, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4as if i didnt have enough trouble falling asleep at night as it is..
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2The fly has been eradicated from to United States and Canada, and is being eradicated in Mexico and other countries at the expense of the US Department of Agriculture and the WHO. You have nothing to be worried about...unless you live in Yemen...
- travis6690, on 05/09/2008, -0/+12This remind anyone of the botfly?
- Velnich, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5I'll take the botfly over this thanks.
- tomd123, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1No, I prefer botflies to this screw worm, at least botflies stayed under your skin, this worm just keeps digging in deeper and deeper. I just can't imagine the horrible death it can cause.
- TheSlinky, on 05/09/2008, -1/+4And people ask me why I hate bugs...
- chubbybubba, on 05/09/2008, -1/+40Enough with the Hillary Bashing. She only went to Yemen once and it was under sniper fire.
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2That freakin' made my day! Thanx
- TheImaginator, on 05/10/2008, -0/+0Erm, just in case you were hopeful that Clinton was actually under sniper fire - she wasn't, she only said she remembered she was and then was later found not to have been. She tried to cover her ass by implying she was mis-quoted but still ended up looking as false as she truly is.
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2That freakin' made my day! Thanx
- frieddonuts, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3I think that Digg is going through another disgusting bug article trend. Remember those flies that live in the Amazon?
- xmizzbojanglesx, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Holy. *****.
- AManWithNoName, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3I, for one, welcome our new screw worm overlords.
- Hincapie, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Xenu?
- kasatie48, on 05/09/2008, -0/+5... they can fly 125 miles? O.O
- total1337ness, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3No silly, they can fly at 125 mph
- rk23x, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2Seriously, who the hell comes up with these evil little *****?
- foofightrs777, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Geez isn't that the loaded question :)
- Malchus89, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1Since people have come to be pretty much as evil as possible...worms decided to jump on the bandwagon too...just the evolution took a little.
- zer0hour, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3*****. That. *****. D:
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -1/+15It's not a worm, it is a fly that lays worm-like larvae in flesh. Just to clarify.
The article really doesn't make this point, constantly referring to it as a worm and only once using the word fly (in an odd way too, making it even more confusing). It, the article, also seems to try and incite fear, even though the screw 'worm' has been eradicated from the United States and Canada, and is in the process of being eradicated from Mexico and many other countries at the expense of the US Department of Agriculture (see, the United States is essentially a good entity, that sometimes makes bad choices).
Sensationalist much?- disingenious, on 05/09/2008, -1/+3The article wasn't an attack on the US. Put your flag pin away. ;)
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I don't wear a flag pin. I don't hide behind symbols and false patriotism.
I never said it was, I merely commented that thanks to the United States much of the world is getting rid of this parasite.
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I don't wear a flag pin. I don't hide behind symbols and false patriotism.
- ghostoftomjoad, on 05/09/2008, -2/+2or a bad entity that occasionally gets it right (when a minimal amount of money is on the line)
- PhantomPhoenix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I respect your Constitutional right to say that, a right many people in other countries don't share, but I disagree entirely. The United States is essentially a force of good; for instance, without the United States' aid both World War I and II would have continued on for much longer, and may even have been lost. Not to mention how much humanitarian aid is given by the United States and her citizens on a yearly basis.
Sadly though, the people often make bad mistakes and elect horrid leaders, as happens in many countries (i.e. Putin in Russia).

- funkyjunk3, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4Ough, I think I'm going to be sick. I really don't want to look at those photos, but hey, what harm can it do? Ohh my Godth...f*uck! (Runs to bathroom)
**VOMITS** - Akairenn, on 05/09/2008, -2/+2I expected Shai-Hulud. Or at least the earthworm I found while planting bushes the other week. The thing was (literally) two inches in diameter and about a foot long. The worm in the story doesn't even look all that evil. It's like a happy little worm that just popped up to say hello and ask if you like it's goofy moustache.
- Ryan166, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3As long as the worms stay out of my Ramen.
- Thugacation, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Declare jihad on screw worms!
- yingjai, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1oh noe a terrorist
jk
- yingjai, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1oh noe a terrorist
- h4mx0r, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1So it begins...
Sounds like a B-movie on the sci-fi channel if you ask me.- korbandallas, on 05/09/2008, -0/+0When I first saw the title I immediately thought "Dune!"
- rjhomuth, on 05/09/2008, -0/+7Thank God I live somewhere where it freezes in winter.
- MelvinSchlubman, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1For now. Colorado is getting slammed with pine beetles killing vast swatches of lodge pole pines because winters have not been having the deep freezes that normally keep them under control.
- Velnich, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2At least the Candiru can't fly.
(Don't look that up.) - whatthefu, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2Dugg for gross pictures.
- keltin, on 05/09/2008, -5/+4Well, Yemen is one of the original hot seats of terrorism...maybe it's payback time.
- RuSTeDs, on 05/09/2008, -3/+3I dont like dumbasses like you.
Because some terrorist nutjobs were from Yemen, you think it serves right to have their innocent civilians suffer from screw worms?
Didn't you read the part where it said the vast majority of victims are children or the old and sickly? What a bastard you are. - ghostoftomjoad, on 05/09/2008, -5/+1its retards like you that gets us attacked in the first place. For those of us who have no problem with other cultures STFU
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2"get us attacked,"..... right, because terrorist jihad assholes weren't going to do that anyway. You STFU..... and no, not all cultures do deserve respect, civility and humility should be expected.
- RuSTeDs, on 05/09/2008, -3/+3I dont like dumbasses like you.
- Pinkertinkle, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Isn't that a botfly? Not even close to being related to annelids.
- inefekt, on 05/09/2008, -4/+2That's what you get for marrying and screwing 9 year olds.
Justice is served.- ghostoftomjoad, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1omg its the young and old and infirm you retard. I hope you get eaten alive by worms because you buy plastic spoons instead of washing the ones you own
- inefekt, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2WTF? You dumb *****. So I guess you're ok with a country that set's it's legal age of consent at 9 years old?
By the look of the -3 diggs my initial comment got, the users on DIGG are ok with it too. Sick pedophile *****. - NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I use plastic silverware because it's easy.... but so what, you're clearly a dick too!
- inefekt, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2WTF? You dumb *****. So I guess you're ok with a country that set's it's legal age of consent at 9 years old?
- ghostoftomjoad, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1omg its the young and old and infirm you retard. I hope you get eaten alive by worms because you buy plastic spoons instead of washing the ones you own
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3I don't think it matters if you have screw worms before blowing up a night club.
- 4UIDigg, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2and I thought screwing and blowing go together
- DopeWeasel, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1One of the ads on the linked site tried to install VBS:Malware-gen on my pc... Avast VPS Version 080508-0, 05/08/2008 caught it midstream. Originating site for the malware was lol.on.nimp.org
--Buried as Spam because of possible malware infected content- grimward, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Yep, buried as spam here too, using avast! as well.
- certifiablygeek, on 05/09/2008, -0/+0So...it tried to give you a worm?
- grimward, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Nah, it's just a crappy VBS script. Would have been fun it if had actually been a worm though, considering the article and all.
- Billions, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2The teachings of Muad'Dib tell us this is necessary for the melange spice. No worries.
- Billions, on 05/09/2008, -4/+1The teachings of Muad'Dib tell us that this is necessary for the melange spice. No worries.
- Billions, on 05/09/2008, -2/+1Ooops! Massive failure. Didn't know that first one posted! Digg me down!
- Ellipsys, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2Okay. As much as we point out the things the government does wrong, lets give credit where its due: to the Department of Agriculture. Its only by their research and planning that we're not dealing with these things here. I don't care if you're a democrat, republican, ron paul bot, nader-supporter or anything else - we can all agree that eliminating screw worms is a good thing.
- 4UIDigg, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3best line of all --> "If aid can be generated we might be able to screw over the screw worm, before they screw us."
- momsshizzle, on 05/09/2008, -2/+3Worms-please fly to Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan. Thank you. Seacrest, out.
- agent76, on 05/09/2008, -0/+0I was really hoping that this was going be about those worm like things from the movie Critters.
- MelvinSchlubman, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1So, they'll use radiation to render the males impotent. They're able to target radiation that well, or what else might it do -- create a single screw worm large enuf to destroy Tokyo?
- excalpius, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2What's with all the extremely lame "environmentalgraffitti.com" articles showing up on the front page with only a handful of diggs? Methinks the fix is back in...
- pedo, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1what about guinea worm?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinea_worm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwk-THcjmlI - disingenious, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2I say we take off and nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
- xeyne, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1lysdexia for lhe toss, but anyone else read it as...
"Screwed: World’s Most Evil Mom Invades Yemen"
(o_O) - zebragrrl, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1it MUST be evil.. it has that black-handlebar-moustache that so many silent-film villans had.
"Give me the deed to your flesh" - ghostoftomjoad, on 05/09/2008, -1/+1How did this become a discussion about whether children in another country deserve to be eaten alive because of a few acts by a minority. Its ***** like this that gets us attacked in the first place try and keep your hateful mouth shut
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1"gets us attacked"...... right. That's ***** in itself
- MikiMac, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Those evil doers must be part of the Axis of Evil regime! Invade Yemen, and kill them all!
ohh, wait, they don't have oil there, so don't bother. - Dobiewonkenobi, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Oman that sucks!
- Hincapie, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1comment dugg for pun
- macweirdo42, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2I say we take off, and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
- Trixrox, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Nature has scary stuff. Maybe this is population control, like diesease?
