- bamafun, on 04/12/2008, -0/+9I bring my own canvas bags to the store and a lot of times the cashiers don't like it; but oh well they can get over it lol
- thehead21, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8Here's a link to an article that talks about the advantages of banning plastic bags.

- jaybol, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7i like keeping a tally on bags that i have handed back to cashiers when they try to double-bag a pack of gum...and then telling the clerk with deadpan delivery that you are doing it in order to single-handedly save the earth
- ramises, on 04/12/2008, -0/+5They're considering this for my city as well, although I think it would be a better idea just to switch to the biodegradable plastic bags.
- trakie, on 04/13/2008, -0/+4i embrace the fact that my grocery store uses plastic bags since it saves me from buying garbage bags for all the garbage cans in my house
- izackcarson, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4if you have trouble remembering to bring bags with you when shopping, leave some in the car. if you put some in the car after unloading the groceries you won't have to remember to bring some with you next time as you leave to go shopping.
- tamacurtis, on 04/14/2008, -0/+2Since no one has brought this up yet...

Take a look at the benefits page. Don't hate. Just sayin'. - Straat, on 04/14/2008, -0/+2......yes because we all know that plastic bags can save your life from "sliding into the ocean"
- praneym, on 04/13/2008, -1/+2Plastic bags are soooo yesterday!
- jessestorm, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1interest ≠ action
- sparsely, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1They kill aquatic life, thus saving San Francisco from being consumed by a pod of ravenous dolphins waiting at the bottom of the impending slide. Duh.
- macjaeh, on 04/14/2008, -0/+1I just bought a cloth grocery bag today. Now I can't figure out how to clean up my dog's poo. I guess we'll go with a scooper.
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2lol u showed those minimum wage workers
- inactive, on 04/14/2008, -1/+2we need to cut down plastic bags, today i had to take down some random ass 99 cent store bag from out of my tree, its getting ridiculous and its all just sucker punching out environment.
- chubbybubba, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1yes.
- zappa717, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Good reason to ban them: http://digg.com/environment/Come_see_our_giant_tox ...
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -0/+1whats the other 50? your mild assumption makes me a cynic.
- laame, on 04/14/2008, -0/+1I'm using mu trusty cloth bag when going to grocery store.
Too bad one person doesn't make much of a difference! :( - hrhs556x, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1true but for those of in a city who don't own a car, this doesn't really apply, i usually do my grocery shopping on my way home from work and would like to not have to carry my bags to work and on the subway when i plan on going grocery shopping (which is a couple times a week because there is so much i can carry at one time) also it is much easier to carry around plastic bags then paper.
- Apophis574, on 04/14/2008, -1/+1Plastic bags decompose.... They're like over 50% corn starch...
- chubbybubba, on 04/13/2008, -7/+1It's stories like these that make me grateful that a big earthquake is due any time now. Good luck with those paper bags when you're sliding into the ocean!
