'Rasberry Ants' swarm over Houston, fouling electronics
nydailynews.com — The ants (paratrenicha species near pubens) have spread to five Houston-area counties, and are believed to have arrived in a cargo shipment. The ants feed on such beneficial insects as ladybugs, bite humans, and are attracted to electrical equipment, for reasons that are not well understood by scientists.
