- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -2/+20Insanely and horribly depressing. The animals in this situation deserve far better than humans can provide. I say feed that ***** ***** to wild boars that have been intentionally starved for about three days- in a public place and force every ***** who has ever been convicted of animal cruelty to watch and have them be under the very real impression that they might be thrown into the pen themselves at any moment.
Humans may be at the top of the food chain- but they certainly are not anywhere near the top of the cool chain.
I am so mad at this it makes my ass want to chew tobacco. - inactive, on 01/12/2008, -11/+28Well, technically it is not considered Cannibalism (anthropophagy), unless it's humans consuming humans. Story is saddening regardless.
- Tiak, on 01/12/2008, -3/+19Too late, you already made an ass of yourself.
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -24/+40i ate horse meat once in France. It was ok, not fantastic. The best part was the spinning neon horse's head sign outside the butcher shop advertising the meat. Oh, and that neglect is sick.
- TalenKlaive, on 01/12/2008, -3/+17horses are terrible people.
- ChaosProfessor, on 01/12/2008, -8/+22when i was in highschool we had to print off an article and write 10 questions for ag class. we had a horse lover in the class so i did mine on horse as meat. one question was what are the 8 major cuts of meat from a horse. (one of them were testicles ) she got up and screamed i should cut off your testicles then stormed out of the room so i gave her a 0 on the assignment

- zeiben, on 01/12/2008, -0/+10Unfortunately, this goes on everywhere - race horses, work horses, unwanted riding horses - there's a huge volume of these animals that are dragged around in all kinds of pitiful state until they get sold for meat or dog food and slaughtered, usually in a half-assed way. Then there's all the unwanted offspring of mares that they have to keep pregnant to harvest urine (for premarin, a hormone supplement). And then you just have the odd redneck farmer who gets too many animals, can't care for them, and just leaves them to suffer in a box out of shame.
We use these animals for our recreation and amusement, and they're pretty generous with us - they deserve a little care and a death with dignity. - whiteguysamurai, on 01/12/2008, -1/+10Horses don't strap each other down and shock the ***** out of their balls.
Horses are a good people.
~George Carlin on chickens. - Dark1Knight, on 01/12/2008, -4/+13This really is not a right thread to tell people that you ate horse meat. RTFA and perhaps learn to feel some sympathy. Starving an animal to an extent that it has to be shot in order to be put out of suffering is just sick. It is not the same as quickly killing an animal for meat (that's done in a not-so-cruel manner). Don't call me a hypocrite (I'm a vegetarian).
- ypSami, on 01/12/2008, -0/+8I am a red meat eater (I prefer rare). I love meat. I accept that animals must die in order for me to enjoy that pleasure. I do not accept the fact that anything is made to suffer senselessly, and I do not accept the fact that you, and people like you, don't ***** get it; it's not "just a bunch of horses". It's a ***** nervous system that feels pain the SAME WAY YOU DO AND MAYBE WORST. Sure, because it's not happening to you, you're allowed to sit there and post stupid comments on Digg, but for those animals, it was a reality that they suffered and suffered and suffered until they finally died for no benefit to any "people".
Get a clue, RobLiefeld. Your lack of humanity is showing, and it's UGLY. - whiteguysamurai, on 01/12/2008, -1/+9I hope the law comes down hard on this guy.
This guy is a poor example of a human being. - inactive, on 01/12/2008, -1/+8omg that picture almost make me shed a tear, its disgusting to see sick ***** who have show sign of humanity to let innocent animals starve like this. This is just ***** up
- Emnsta, on 01/12/2008, -1/+8There's also something called crops, humans are not completely dependent on cows and chickens. And those animals used for food feel pain just like horses, so what the ***** are you talking about.

- screensnot, on 01/12/2008, -2/+8I don't know about the "put here for us" BS.
But, I don't have any problem using animals for our gain. That is a part of nature. - RetardoCrisp, on 01/12/2008, -0/+5Pretty much every known serial killer has started by doing the act to animals first. This tells us something and anyone who cannot have compassion for this issue I feel sorry for and have compassion for you in return.
- LittleDas, on 01/12/2008, -0/+5It's not anthropophagy but it is cannibalism
Cannibalism (from Spanish caníbal, in connection with alleged cannibalism among the Caribs), also called anthropophagy (from Greek anthropos "man" and phagein "to consume") is the act or practice of humans consuming other humans. In zoology, the term cannibalism is extended to refer to any species consuming members of its own kind, see cannibalism (zoology).

- mal1964, on 01/12/2008, -2/+6Horse And Chicken
A horse and a chicken are playing in a meadow. The horse falls into a mud hole and is sinking. He calls to the chicken to go and get the farmer to help pull him out to safety. The chicken runs to the farm but the farmer can't be found. So he drives the farmer's Mercedes back to the mud hole and ties some rope around the bumper. He then throws the other end of the rope to his friend, the horse, and drives the car forward saving him from sinking! A few days later, the chicken and horse were playing in the meadow again and the chicken fell into the mud hole. The chicken yelled to the horse to go and get some help from the farmer. The horse said, "I think I can stand over the hole!" So he stretched over the width of the hole and said, "Grab for my 'thingy' and pull yourself up." And the chicken did and pulled himself to safety.
The moral of the story:
If you are hung like a horse, you don't need a Mercedes to pick up chicks. - MandiOLP, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4I am so disgusted by those that show apathy because "they're only horses." If you think we have such a privileged place among nature, then keep in mind we carry a great deal of responsibility as well. Animals are not property, and they are certainly not here for us to abuse. They make our lives easier and better, and for that we should show some damned respect. Just because we eat them doesn't mean we have to torture them.
- tojulius, on 01/12/2008, -4/+7that's crazy
- ypSami, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3The feeling is mutual.
- BahJayJay, on 01/12/2008, -2/+5How about he is eaten by horses?
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3Dunno, man.
I bet in a vote on this forum you'd be surprised who'd win: you or the horse.
My money's on the horse.

"@ iamlXl, whatever do you mean?" - bat-21, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3***** off. You probably treat your computer better than the way this ***** treats animals.
- BahJayJay, on 01/12/2008, -2/+5Why would the people joking about this wish you had been in the position of the animals?
- Llance, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3They should tie that walking pile of feces to a stake and let ravenous horses eat him.

- cmccool, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3"Redwings staffer Nicola Markwell said many of the animals they had taken in were traumatized by the ordeal. “Some of them just won’t let anyone near them at all. We have to put those through a gradual handling programme and let them recover before we release them into a herd,” she said."

i can't deal with people who treat animals in this manner. it makes me seriously pissed to the point where i want to beat heads in. - inactive, on 01/12/2008, -7/+9Humans > Horses
- neio, on 01/12/2008, -0/+2"I say feed that ***** ***** to wild boars that have been intentionally starved for about three days" Does this mean you have to be eaten too since you are going to starve a helpless animal just to get back at somebody who also starved a helpless animal?
- kevin32x, on 01/12/2008, -0/+2that man should be left to starve for a while.
