- Godlesswanderer, on 10/30/2007, -2/+12That's a clock?
- mrwoody, on 10/24/2007, -1/+4did anyone else notice the weather? No wonder the clock is not powered by the sun!
- yujie, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Anyone read this as "london olympic clock to be powered by *****"?
- davidbattley, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2now all they need is somewhere to host the games and there set
- b3mus3d, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Well, it is England.
- snowball69, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2Its news that clocks require so much energy to drive them. No excuse for lighting problems either now we have LED lighting. Someone might have spotted that the construction and overall environmental cost of the turbine would exceed that of simply plugging the bloody thing into the mains. Then again, we're talking reinforcement of a political ideology here.
I guess it's environmentally-polluting batteries during the tidal minima and maxima then eh? - jesperhh, on 10/25/2007, -3/+5No they won't, because i'm digging you down!
- BlueSkyfish, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Reading Digg comments makes my brain cells hurt.
- rz8472, on 10/24/2007, -1/+2It's like an ultramodern Stonehenge. Regardless, this more than makes up for the games' ugly-ass logo:

*shudder* - pitdog, on 10/24/2007, -1/+2Should be powered by minced whales or sth
- PlagueMonkey, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1"A Lunar Day is longer than a Solar Day – by 50 minutes"
Buried as inaccurate. - keegster, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1It's an interesting idea -- I can see the correlation to air turbines the want to harness natural energy, but the effects of this, should it become worldwide, could potentially be drastic. Just google for the words 'tidal turbine' and 'ecosystem.'
- Ramble, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1I assume this is monthly because MTL changes every day. And of course you have to watch out for stuff like neap tide or spring tide, and I think there's a yearly variation too.
- zanet, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1i see the full guide is on Guide: Venues for Olympic Events London 2012

- NeoCortex, on 10/24/2007, -1/+1It would suck to have to adjust that for Daylight Savings Time.

- Jakkukun, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2Damn, I expected it to roatate or something. Was pretty pissed off when I realised it just glowed...
- doom2quake, on 10/24/2007, -3/+1clock ... lunar powered ... how accurate were the werewolves :P
- DSGalvin, on 10/26/2007, -4/+2These will be the last Olympic games ever...so they better be kickass.
/2012 - inactive, on 10/30/2007, -17/+3Whoo only two comments. People will see this.
