Don't expect a solar panel sitting behind your window to generate anywhere its rated power. Also, don't expect any normal consumer electronics left outside in the sun and the elements to last long. Your best bet is the solar panel optside in the sun and everything else inside. But honestly, why bother when you can just charge your device for free at work?
