So, they went from animal suicide to human homicide. I get it.

The water was clear and there were hardly any waves. It didn't look like sea water at all. The lemmings were in fact smarter than the guy making the documentary.

- dslabuser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There is some basis to the beleif. Rodents who are dieing will go to water. The theory with lemmings is some of the plants they eat become poisonous. That is there is a plant they eat that during most of the year has a low level of poison in it that the lemmings are somewhat immune to but as the plant grows it becomes more potent eventualy poisoning the animal. Saw it on an old episode of @discovery.ca
