Doesn't apply here, that owl just inspired me. - hehe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22@billymachine:
No need to fake them--nature is plenty amazing without the aide of Photoshop. - madeingermany, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21I feel like the bear.
- otheruser, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18Wow...
I think for the first time in a while on Digg, peoples of any and all religions, or lack thereof, can sit and appreciate the story (pictures).
Awesome. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16That picture with the two blackbucks head butting is awesome.
- mlwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15You may have just created the next "ORLY?"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Perhaps you'd prefer TubGirl instead?

This guy is amazing. Each one of his photographs is a treat for the eyes. - nakedlobo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Wonderful pictures... Some would make great wallpaper.

This thing is ***** crazy. - Sonic_Molson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6http://duggmirror.com/environment/Incredible_Wildlife_Photos_really/
- stenk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The Photo of the Owl was just mind blowing. Fantastic shot. A one in a million
- thescimitar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4People who say, "Such and such is too amatuerish [sic] for my taste" are often the same people who work at Ritz Photo and describe themselves as professional photographers.
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Several possibles:
Self-promotion;
Relatively poor reproduction (grain);
No rule-of-thirds observance (try cropping 1cm left of ear and 1cm below mouth) (to get a feel for length of neck, should have been taken portrait).
But still a nice photo.
(@monergism: First point is tongue-in-cheek, view second two as feedback.) - monergism, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14Great photographers.
On my recent trip to Kenya I snapped this.

(btw: canon 350d w/ 200mm) - earther, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The retouching and color work on these images leaves much to be desired.
I think the eyes have been taken way too far and when you do that much smoothing of the skin, it becomes painfully obvious.
Not bad overall, but not great. - dumpling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Great stuff. I know it's wishful thinking, but I would kill for a photography section on digg. Some must-sees like this might pop up more often with one.
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I usually don't click on blog links. Glad I did; some of those actually are very good. I want high-res. :)

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!
I'll look her up if I ever get to Washington county. - Dweller99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Your thumbnails all look washed out/overexposed to me.
- bobmagoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2generally when you stalk some one, the goal is to pick some one that is at least moderately attractive
not that i would know... - dpknc84, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4That's what you think, just give it a few minutes and a couple dozen dimwitted comments.
- bagofbeef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wasn't that owl on the cover of a Rush album?
- coverlim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2not bad but not mind blowing. you can find loads here that are better AND free as in beer. http://www.everystockphoto.com/results.php?seed=wildlife
- xVern, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 "the network administrator noticed that one of the great gray owls she was photographing was staring back at her."
Network admin? She probably said "o rly", and the owl had heard it a million times and was tired of it. I mean, i would have done the same. - phr0ze, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Religious, Political, or Nationalistic comments...
- aeiou, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They're probably small because they don't want anyone making prints out of them. Not that 1600x1200 is that high quality, but it is enough to make a moderately sized print. The photographers deserve to have their work paid for, not ripped off from a contest that they entered.

fap fap fap fap - monergism, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1tamron 18-200mm.
it's treated me well as it does wide/zoom without the swap. - bobmagoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@effward
http://img141.imageshack.us/my.php?image=orlyowlib5hs4.jpg - m00dy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1monergism what type of 200 is that?
- OpenFuture, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Great pictures, and the owl reminds me of a C-130
- deivys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought the same thing. That duck is freaking awsome.
- kenmantx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All of these "incredible" nature photo Diggs are anything but. I haven't seen one worth digging yet. Flickr > Digg for photos hands-down.
- samstafford, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the bluejay photo was taken in my hometown, which amazes me, because nothing ever seems to look like that around here. how impressive!
- KeyLimePie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I bet it tastes great
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They do seem to have a real retnal fetish...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Frog orgy!
- Larke2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1low res pics can be interesting, but not incredible.
- bobmagoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nvm
- Phyrefly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have no idea what equipment and settings you're using, but the colour and levels of your pictures are way off.
The photos look extremely washed out and boring. I don't think even the most neutral setting on a DSLR would make it look like that. - Dweller99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I checked on the Mac and they still look washed out to me. Not badly, just a touch.
The actual pics look ok though. I guess its just the thumbnails.
I also noticed that you live near by.
*waves* - KickyG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sure, those frogs were making a "conga line." cough cough.
- Zoojeff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice pic, but wtf with the quality. Pic like that deserves better res than that. Still i dugg
- kenmantx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nopers those suck too. Why all the goddamn pics of birds? They're boring.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Your gamma is fine on my mac. And don't let my comment above bother you, this is some of the better photography I've seen in a while. And yes I would consider you a wildlife photographer.
- dagonweb, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4And in 50-100 years, all this will be bottled genetic residu in an underground repository at best. Humanity is ***** up all this beauty, like putting it in a blender with battery acid.
The ***** waste. - earthcampaigner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0If you liked these, you will like this site: www.earth-touch.com. It is serving hi-def video and beautiful stills of wildlife from Africa, S America etc. It is in a beta phase, so sign-up is free. Really worth going to look at.
