- MidwesternerNYC, on 02/03/2008, -3/+114Well this is upsetting
- CaffeinePowered, on 02/03/2008, -4/+71At least its not totally extinct so there is still some hope, still sad though
- whatthefu, on 02/03/2008, -4/+57It sucks when any species goes extinct.
- kgool, on 02/03/2008, -12/+64Maybe trying to hump other males is why it went extinct. Though, I am fully support alternative lifestyle frogs or toads or whatever they want to be called. Sad though, beautiful creature.
- unearth, on 02/03/2008, -1/+47I'm surprised that such a horny species could go extinct. That female at the end of the video was practically getting DP'ed.
- Trish25, on 02/03/2008, -1/+40I think I'm in love - but it's too late.
- dagaz, on 02/03/2008, -0/+32Frogs in general are declining rapidly all over the world. The are various reasons, one of the big ones is a fungal disease called chytridiomycosis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chytridiomycosis
- destro713, on 02/03/2008, -1/+28Wow, that is some advanced existentialism right there. You should write a book or something.
- ClockworksNine, on 02/03/2008, -5/+28Great, another species is gone... People should remember that when a species dies, it affects just about every other species out there, be it predator or any other type.
- TheEnoculator, on 02/17/2009, -12/+33We humans keep killing off species every day, makes me think if there'll be our turn someday.
- makkaveli19, on 02/03/2008, -2/+21bye bye Mr Frog *salutes* :(
- bincoder, on 02/03/2008, -7/+24vote Ron Paul?
- RobotCitizen, on 02/03/2008, -0/+16Did I just watch a frog orgy?
- WafflesID, on 02/03/2008, -5/+20Let me know if we find a T-Rex running around...
- hello2usir, on 02/03/2008, -1/+15I'm looking forward to the robot uprising.
- ClockworksNine, on 02/03/2008, -1/+14HAHA! I get it! You're one of those guys that think they are funny but the reality is far from that. Here's a link that you should take into consideration:
http://www.killyourself.org/ - MacParrot, on 02/03/2008, -1/+13OMG! A volcano just went off destroying the ecosystem of an island that humans had absolutely nothing to do with! DAMN YOU MANKIND!
- troymccluresf, on 02/03/2008, -1/+13Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought Imageshack shut down.
Please? - rhavenn, on 02/03/2008, -3/+14This argument is valid in a balanced eco-system. However, humans as a whole have totally thrown the eco-systems of the world out of balance. We kill what we don't like, are scared of or even out of total ignorance. As a species, we play god on a very small scale because we think we know better. By a very small scale I am referring to time and in this case 50-100 years. For a human that is a lifetime and as a species we are extremely egotistical and believe that is a significant number. It's not. "Change" as mother nature makes it happen normally takes thousands of years, if not more, with a few exceptions.
The funny thing is major global warming does happen causing massive food shortages, etc... or some super flu hits the world we, as a whole, won't be able to adapt either and pretty soon, depending on who you believe, a large chunk of the world population will be wiped out. It's not a "if" it's a "when". Perhaps our combined intelligence can overcome this, but i'm pretty sure our combined arrogance will get in the way. - Wacer, on 02/03/2008, -1/+12If one really wants to see extinction, go to the Smithsonian Museum. They have a whole wing devoted to animals that have been stuffed and are displayed behind glass windows. There are so many. I walked through there as a child and realized that life is fragile for so many things on this planet.
- inactive, on 02/03/2008, -1/+11Even without humans species would still go extinct.
- benplaut, on 02/03/2008, -3/+13Homosexual frogs are gay?
- MacParrot, on 02/03/2008, -1/+11extinct in the WILD
- topace3000, on 02/03/2008, -3/+13shut the ***** up
- Oktoeatfish, on 02/03/2008, -8/+18Dude, I don't care digg me down. Those frogs (toads) are freaking cute.
- nakani, on 02/03/2008, -1/+11nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
- Rakuseki, on 02/03/2008, -4/+14What? You mean this kinda thing just happens naturally? You can't say things like that on Digg! It's our fault!
- inactive, on 02/03/2008, -0/+9GOD HATES FROGS!
- spikeyone, on 02/03/2008, -2/+11At least this time it doesn't appear to have been our fault.
- fr0gm3n, on 02/03/2008, -1/+10Perhaps it has something to do with morals, conscience, being human? It's never good to see any creature go. Especially a cool looking golden frog.
- mashw, on 02/03/2008, -0/+9We weren't strictly the main reason for this one though, according to Wikipedia anyway. Some amphibian disease was the culprit so I don't know why you needlessly took a bash at humans there, the sane ones of us don't want to hurt animals, we don't even want to harm their environment but we can't hate ourselves for valuing human life over any other. There's room for compromise and responsibility to other creatures but simultaneously we have to acknowledge the fact that we are in many ways markedly different from anything else that we know of, and it's not irrational to think of ourselves as in some way special. It's still very sad that creatures go extinct, but without human beings there's no appreciation of beauty or resistance to gratuitous natural extinctions etc. so we're not all bad, surely.
- Birdoftruth, on 02/03/2008, -0/+9wow your motif is funny. You're a slave owner hahaha.
- charlie55, on 02/03/2008, -5/+14it isnt actually possible to know for sure if an animal is extinct.
- Adys, on 02/03/2008, -1/+9YouTube mirror, because WMP/RP sucks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=432DeVBbhRc - Roryking, on 02/03/2008, -0/+8I'm more shocked by the fact that the price for something that looks like the white house is only $250k. I call scam.
- gh0st3000, on 02/03/2008, -0/+8actually, *****- in homosexual is referring to the prefix meanings of *****- as same and hetero- as other, making homosexual mean same sex and heterosexual mean other sex.
- dbug, on 02/03/2008, -0/+8About 100 frog species have vanished over the last 20 years:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJdhNy6OPrM - unpolloloco, on 02/03/2008, -1/+9yes.......it sucks.........its a natural response to unfavorable conditions, but yes, it does suck
- joot2112, on 02/03/2008, -0/+8...if you eat it.
- iainc, on 02/03/2008, -2/+9Because our species is likely to be responsible: it's extinction is unlikely to be due to predation and more likely to have been caused by loss of habitat.
- mverta, on 02/03/2008, -6/+13So that's about species #1 billion that's gone extinct, 99% of which did so before humans even got here.
- copyland, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7RE: "caused my humans being TOO powerful."
We've all got to get together and make ourselves less powerful. - CiXeL, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7the history channel did a show about it called Life After People.
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3991616/[HST]_Life_Aft ... - twinklyJesus, on 02/03/2008, -2/+9the title says "in the wild" but the text says "The whole species is now extinct in Panama"
I hardly believe being extinct in Panama = gone from the entire world. Unless, of course, you are trying to promote your nature program and over-inflate it's importance... - whalt, on 02/03/2008, -2/+9Yeah, I'm sure his belief in laissez-faire economics and interest in abolishing all environmental regulations is just what this little guy needed.
- Pixelante, on 02/03/2008, -0/+6Try to say it correctly at least: "Ah, damn you! God damn you all to HELLl!"
- makkaveli19, on 02/03/2008, -0/+6Hey i'm a member of that organization :)
- inactive, on 02/03/2008, -1/+7Dinosaurs?
- rmxz, on 02/03/2008, -1/+7Except ones we don't like, such as smallpox and polio, and perhaps some agricultural pests that we try to wipe out with pesticides?
- GinsuGuy585, on 02/03/2008, -0/+6So long, and thanks for all the flys.
