Excellent 'feel good' commercial...
treehugger.com — You simply have to watch it to the end.
- 2143 diggs
- digg it
- ozydingo, on 10/11/2007, -19/+60Really clever. Good find!
- dubloe7, on 10/11/2007, -4/+20yah, it was a really good find.
its difficult to go from finding something posted on digg to posting the exact same thing on digg.- bovester, on 10/11/2007, -12/+2don't call dupe without proof
- l0ne, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7What is this, "digg link or it didn't happen"? :)
- Linga, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12http://digg.com/videos/comedy/Very_well_done_commercial_You_will_replay_it
- bruenig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The difficult part is finding a unique link that gets past the filters, have you get him credit for that.
- bovester, on 10/11/2007, -12/+2don't call dupe without proof
- ChronicColonic, on 10/11/2007, -13/+3I think it would have been funny if he pulled out his wallet to find no money...it would be a visual representation of 'broke wind'.
- themastersb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+29This is such a great find.............. If you never look at the videos section
- ozydingo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16And I don't!
- easybakelovin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0haha
- ozydingo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16And I don't!
- jd5alive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i probably wouldn't have figured it out so soon if all of the titles hadn't led me to suspect something from the beginning.
but it became blatantly obvious by the time he was ruffling the hair of the lady in red.
- dubloe7, on 10/11/2007, -4/+20yah, it was a really good find.
- zobs, on 10/11/2007, -13/+9as creative as it can get..
- veganweb2001, on 10/11/2007, -18/+12I can't wait to see the rebuttals from the oil and coal producers.
- ChristianMagic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22"I was always the most popular person around..."
- moojj, on 10/11/2007, -14/+232Wasn't this posted in the video section a few days ago? Furthermore, isn't this *supposed* to be in the videos section?
- mrsneakypat, on 10/11/2007, -4/+25Yeah, this video was in the video section. Nice copypasta gregm11.
- spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -13/+44Problem is that most people don't look at the video section, to be honest I'd forgotten it was even there for a few months after they separated them.
I don't think most people mind the best of the best occasionally sneaking over into the news section, but I could be wrong. - NinjaBoy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12I think digg should have done a tag system. So you can tagg if the article is mainly a video or pictures. So you done have a whole sub section of digg just for videos.
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -4/+19I'm glad it wasn't, or I wouldn't have seen it.
- ornerycat, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Me too!
I tired of people complaining because a story makes it to digg more than once. Just because YOU'VE already seen it doesn't mean it's old. - joeconway, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2you imply that you're glad it wasnt in the videos section because you specifically choose not to go there even though you clearly would have benefitted from taking the time out of your day to click a link to the videos section?
- sinembarg0, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1But what if there wasn't anything good there? Why should I have to browse through two front pages to get everything? Why can't they just make an option to have all the sections show up on one page, or in one RSS feed?
- easybakelovin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I don't really use digg as if my life depends on it
- ornerycat, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Me too!
- ziffel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Problem with that one was that it was on youtube and the dumbass youtube submitter put the major spoiler in the subject line.
- blorc, on 10/11/2007, -4/+82Dupe from the video section, although this admittedly has a better title that doesn't give it away instantly like the other. I'll Digg it just because of that.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6The other one doesn't give it away if you open it with Digg's built-in video player....
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -17/+170Submitted just two days ago; got 2200+ Diggs and it's located in the video section where it ***** BELONGS. http://digg.com/videos/comedy/Very_well_done_commercial_You_will_replay_it
- woogley, on 10/11/2007, -7/+14this is getting old, people! I think people gregm11 purposefully crosspost from videos in hopes of gaining 2x the diggs
this is a waste of front page space. in fact, the past few days have been filed with dupes, way more than usual.
here i come, slashdot..- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4No! Woogley, there's got to be another way! You're too young to die!
- sinembarg0, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Good riddance.
- easybakelovin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1oooh... this pepsi is warm!! here I come coke
- ziffel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Normally i'd agree, but this one actually needed a resubmission, sans spoiler.
- DIAF, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1last one was submitted by a spoiling idiot. this one actually makes it worthwhile. Dont be such a sour puss.
- PDroddy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Little caffeine today lol
- DesignEx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Thank you DeskFlyer, you took the words right out of my mouth.
- kjcdude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is why it's a bad idea to add a picture section, this exact same thing will happen.
- woogley, on 10/11/2007, -7/+14this is getting old, people! I think people gregm11 purposefully crosspost from videos in hopes of gaining 2x the diggs
- tumoas, on 10/11/2007, -11/+2i'm sad 'cos i don't get it
- Pilot85, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4SPOILER* (He's the WIND. THE WIND. WIND POWER. HE HAS A JOB SPINNING... oh, forget it.)
- ltkerr0r, on 10/11/2007, -8/+25Yes it was
http://digg.com/videos/comedy/Very_well_done_commercial_You_will_replay_it
Buried - tmarcV2, on 10/11/2007, -8/+3took me 'til the guy losing his hat to get that he was wind...
- cracker42, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8took me 'til you saying it to get that he was the wind... god I feel so dumb
- Grahamajdale, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1well if u watched the video - it says "the wind" at the end - tho i missed it the first time round so i cant blame you
- cracker42, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8took me 'til you saying it to get that he was the wind... god I feel so dumb
- leontes, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16I am inspired by this kind of applied thought. Great twist, well presented, not overly done. Subtle and clever. Excellent piece of work.
- illshowYOUdugg, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6oh come on. the duplicate stories these days are getting ridiculous. i mean im up for a good story or video that i havent seen in a month or two that i forgot about but this is just getting out of hand
- acomputerwiz, on 10/11/2007, -15/+8I figured it out after about the first 10 seconds... I didn't think it was as 'excellent' as the poster says, but it was creative.
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1You're dissing the awesome ad. Bad. But, you worked this out before the end, when I did! Dugg for being smarter than me.
- Homunculiheaded, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1I had it by the time it got to 'frizzy hair', it was a fun concept but not exactly mind... blowing :)
- raskali, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Yeah, but you guys are geniuses! For the rest of us it was very entertaining.
- Alphateam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yes there is always some guy who knows it all. Figures out every joke before the punchline, beats a video games before it comes out, watchs a movie before anyone else and does it all. I'm glad I found you finally.
- alpinweiss88, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I agree. It was a good commercial, but "amazing"? It made me think, and I too figured it out pretty early on. Is that such a great feat? Was everyone else completely blown away by this? (well, I guess this *is* Digg).. So I'll give you a digg, but I am sure I'll be dugg for not oooing and ahhhhing over this.
- Homunculiheaded, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I actually just wanted an excuse to make the 'mind blowing' pun, but that didn't work out so well.
- lookadeez, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15i missed it the first time in the vid section. thats a damn good commercial
- w3bsmith, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4So did I. Of course I come to digg every few days. Sp I tend to miss a lot of stuff. All 'pro' diggers that have a complaint about duplicates can go to hell for all I care. To me most things are new.
- bashar2, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4That was an awesome idea.
- airquotes, on 10/11/2007, -13/+4I pleasured myself while watching this, it really was a feel good video. Is that gay?
- Wartyboskfapped, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1Depends. How are you dressed?
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1He's dressed SUPER!!
- Grahamajdale, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1yes it makes you gay and beeing dressed has nothing to do with it
- Wartyboskfapped, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1Depends. How are you dressed?
- aclements, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3Why did I have to think of the Nutrigrain Feel Great commercial when I saw that title? That brought wrong to a whole different level.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=4dap0pK29kU - Sjikob, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3Buried for failing to give any useful details in the title or description. :)
- keozen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Dug for the same reason (some videos work better if you don't give away the spoiler)
- wetdirtmud, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1I saw this last night - it's genius.
- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -8/+5I don't care if it's a dupe from the vid section - it's in a class above the usual video fare. Dugg!
- ptsd, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1the reason why the video section doesnt work is because the majority of digg users are too lazy and stupid to use it.
- phrantakle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Surrounded by ads about renewable energy and green living... kind of gave it away.
- gregm11, on 10/11/2007, -7/+6I don't know what you people are talking about...cross paste? cross post? I'm new here and still learning the 'etiquette'
Some you take geeks take this sht WAAAAAYYYYY too seriously.- obiethedog, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Basically when you go to post anything....make sure it hasn't been done so already by giving a quick search for it. Often times digg will try to inform you that a duplicate of your story has already been posted. Also if you learn to speak proper English and use less caps lock, your digg experience will be better.
- tech9lab, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2A man and his wife were on their honeymoon. The husband took off his pants and handed them to his wife.
"See if they fit."
"They don't."
"Now you see who will wear the pants in this house." She thought a little while, and took off her panties and asked him to try them on.
"I can't get into these."
"And you won't, either, with that attitude." - slickfire, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Fantastic!
- ilkeryoldas, on 10/11/2007, -7/+8spam, dupe, wrong category.. skip the blog and watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mTLO2F_ERY
- ziffel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4The page you linked gives away the spoiler ending. Honestly I think that's why this one was resubmitted.
- Neilstrang, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6Buried as duplicate.
- dmonnin, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Yea good Vid and all but it belongs in the vid section where it already was. FOR ***** SAKE PEOPLE. BURIED
- rejoined, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I rarely ever watch the Video section. So, this is okay for me, because I got to watch an excellent commercial. Funny, how lot of us clamored for a Pictures section, and Digg pushed the Video section instead. I used to watch some videos before, before there used to be Video section, and now I rarely ever do.
- sethosayher, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Excellent, didn't see it coming frankly.
- ephesus, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0You didn't realize that it was the wind? Or that it was going to be an ad for wind-power? Because if you didn't know he was the wind after the very first scene, or at LEAST the sand in the kid's face that's kind of sad.
- MarkOfTheDead, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5am i the only one who felt kinda bad for the dude before finding out he was the wind?
- MarkOfTheDead, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2sigh i guess 0 diggs means no.
- SuperBeast, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4I knew it was going to be bad when I saw it was from treehugger.com
- haynil, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14Am I alone in thinking that this was a creative, amusing commercial, but that's about it? I mean, I wouldn't say that this is "amazing" by any stretch. Clever? Sure, but I've seen beer commercials that I'd consider more "amazing" than this. Also, how is this a "feel good" commercial? I'm supposed to feel better about myself because the Germans can use wind power since they don't have idiots claiming they kill too many birds? Don't get me wrong, I'll give it a digg for being funny, but this isn't going to incite change or anything.
- tybris, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3:( I figured it out in like 10 seconds... must be because I live near the sea...
- petemcfraser, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1...and the wind turbine in the background was a dead giveaway
- AMDnVidiaATi, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1This was posted a couple days ago. Dugg down for duplicate.
- Jack9, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3awesome
- datastorageguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Just something I noticed here but...I think this is the 4th treehugger submission I have read today.
- russelbutt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1the treehuggers from oregon are all riled up because of that religion percentage map..
- fauvefox, on 10/11/2007, -5/+0I KNEW it was going to be "The Wind". Excellent.
- greenzrx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Whod'a thunk that the wind had a French accent?
- haggie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That is "Mistral", not your weak American wind...
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9In the first split second, I thought "This is going to be about Lead poisoning or something. He's retarded."
Interesting commercial btw. - thelegacy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3very enjoyable. it had me guessing until the end.
- adsoftheworld, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's one of the winners of the Cannes Lions 2007 advertising festival that awards the very best of advertising in the year. To see more of the winners check this out:
http://adsoftheworld.com/cannes_lions_2007_winners (some of the sections are still under construction though). - loganhid, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1is the man made of plastic or something?
he looks a little shiny to me. - FAT_PIGGY, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1WIND
- FaithclubDotNet, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0That sucks, I used to do all that stuff too. I thought I could get a job at the end.
- FaithclubDotNet, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0That sucks, I used to do all that stuff too. I thought I could get a job at the end.
- brycelb, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0There is a site called treehugger.com, and people go to it. Awsome!
- thekronz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Even if it is a dupe... I dugg it twice.
- bfeagan, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Lame.
Mildly amusing commercial, but at the end... a completely normal ending. Nothing happy or extraordinary happened.
BURIED - n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2why do they have to bring the videos to this page if they've already been dugg?
- mimbomike, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3If you didn't realize that was the wind by the end of the 2 minutes, you're an idiot.
- benmandude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I agree after the first two things he did is was pretty damn obvious.
- Alegoo92, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5who took more than 11/2 minutes to figure that he was the wind?
