- YodaJones, on 08/13/2008, -0/+9Can it spin straw into gold like Rumpelstiltskin?
- chickentonight, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8The article clarifies - If you grind up a metric ton of circuit boards you get more gold than a metric ton of gold ore.
- life38, on 08/14/2008, -1/+9Not sure I feel comfortable in believing this one.
- pauls88, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5I so wanted to make that comment

- TheMachine1, on 08/14/2008, -1/+4Its just a big grinder. You have to get waste in a finely divided state for efficient pyrolysis reactions. Its likely not a significant enough advance to jusitfy an alternative energy story about it though.
- HHP2K, on 08/14/2008, -2/+5What does this statement mean exactly - "it can get more gold out of electronic devices than from a gold mine" ? Are we saying that this thing can get more results by eating trash instead of eating a gold mine, or that if you feed as much trash as you feed mine processing plants dirt and haulage from a mine, that you get a better return from the recyclone?
I don't even think the first instance is possible, and the second is highly, highly unlikely. - TVarmy, on 08/14/2008, -0/+3Only for the cost of one baby. However, most dedicated digg users know many dumpsters will mistake burritos for infants, so try that before giving up a young'un. Should you want the burrito back, just recite the machine's serial number.
- paradexes, on 08/14/2008, -1/+4Cool I will be driving my Delorean with a Mr Fusion device on it :D

Crow T. Robot: Removes lids off bottles and jars of all sizes - and it really, really works. - bluemist, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3Still seems far off of generating 1.21 Jigawatts though.
- MistaMatt90, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
- Abatrour, on 08/14/2008, -1/+3But will it create the 1.21 Gigawatts needed?

- DiscoLando, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Sampo!
- JAGUART, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1It's from the 1996 MST3K movie...

- beauley, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Most of us traditionally do a spring clean up to discard the accrued yearly waste from previous wintry storms. We seem to try outdoing the neighbors in the bag count we can fill, being oblivious of their true contents. Maybe we don’t realize the value and worth of it all.

- BluFire, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Finally
- reginaldino, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1hmm. I love particulates.
- Nimphious, on 08/14/2008, -1/+2A metric ton of circuit boards is much larger than a metric ton of ore. In case they hadn't noticed, rock weighs more than plastic.
- Hunkadoodle, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Jiga what?
- Nimphious, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Go back to your forum...
- phreak79, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Plus of course it would probably reduce the methane emitted into the atmosphere that helps to cause climate change.
- Yage2006, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1Too bad its total *****.
/Buried - inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1I want a "Mr. Fusion" for my car now!
- tru7h, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1My first thought was actually the scene where Doc pours out a can of soda into the Mr Fusion, and then proceeds to just throw in the can as well.
- jperras, on 08/14/2008, -0/+0Hmmm... I bet the mafia would like to get their hands on this.
- Mongo84, on 08/14/2008, -0/+0sounds too good to be true, whats the downside?
- ericdano, on 08/14/2008, -1/+1will it blend? That is the question.
- learnmorepanda, on 08/15/2008, -1/+1How much is incredibly expensive?
Did you ask for a quote? - evanman69, on 08/15/2008, -0/+0The beginning of a singularity?
- ElHeffe, on 08/14/2008, -0/+0Now if only we can send one out to our floating garbage island
- nonoice, on 08/14/2008, -2/+1Burried:
Its a grinder, not a recycling machine.
Title and digged article is completely offtopic
[quote]
The recyclone can take virtually any feedstock down to any usable size in one pass....

I guess the digger that digged this had some stake in digging this (stocks possibly) - RockinAmadeus, on 08/14/2008, -1/+0No, but it can spin gold into wine.
- oveedrx, on 08/14/2008, -2/+1I for one do not welcome our new Trash compacting overlords.. who is with me? get your pitchforks and torch's
