  • alapoet, on 06/24/2008, -2/+6The problem -- and the reason nothing is being done, or WILL be done for a few years -- is that some people, including CreateSomeNoise above, are buying into the B.S. being propagated by Big Oil, the auto industry, and other corporations (along with their faithful servants the political Right) that global warming isn't real, doesn't exist, isn't a problem.

    Of course, this head in the sand approach is foolish in the extreme. But since it's the only approach that doesn't threaten corporate profits, it's the only one which they encourage.
