- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -0/+5The claim is that when placed where a car is slowing down anyway, the system is using energy that would otherwise be wasted in braking. Some folks are pretty well convinced that all these systems do is harvest energy from our inefficient cars on our dime and then sell it for a profit, but they seem to be envisioning a traditional bump rather than these near flat systems when installed in an appropriate location.
The company's website is pretty short on technical details but a similar company has a bit more on theirs.
